    Sideswipe is getting a re-release in December, according to BBTS's preorder page. A $60 Grimlock KO is just what's needed after all the pricing abuse the mold has seen lately.

    Yeah. I got a KO Sideswipe. I've also got a genuine Tigertrack I can use for comparison. I found the KO's paint apps to be a bit more sloppy. There's also a tiny hair painted into one fender. The joints on the KO are tight, but in a worrisome way. Too much pressure has to be applied before there's any give. Tigertrack's joints are smooth like butter. And lastly, the spoiler on the KO won't line up. Other than those gripes, it's awesome.

    Sideswipe is less than half the size of all preceding MPs. No way Hasbro charges over $40.

    Good eyes! Looks like a little Photoshop manipulation was used to play up the color difference.

    There might be seams and kibble that were omitted from that art. It's what happened with the MP Rodimus concept image. Couldn't imagine it transforming for the life of me.

    What tends to happen is the price of the pre-order gets adjusted and the buyer gets notified.

    That's true here as well. Other than Devastator, I never saw any giftsets before the internet existed.

    Starscream didn't shelfwarm in my area, either. I never found one. Rodimus and Grimlock were readily available...Rodimus moreso. But they both sold well...meaning I never saw them on clearance.

    Risk vs. reward. The last MP Transformer at Walmart was Skywarp. If it warmed shelves, Walmart's bean counters only need to see "Masterpiece" and "Transformer" before they feel the urge to shy away. Anybody who knows Transformers knows MP-10 will sell out instantly. Anybody who doesn't know Transformers can only rely on history.

    Finally got around to painting my saddlebags and missile launcher from Exo. Very glad I got them.
