  1. Well hell, they rip off atleast three or four movie plots in the first five minutes.. I'm all for "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"..but come on now!?
  2. Who knew Battlefield Earth would have something that could finally give it a run for it's money..
  3. Maybe it's the perspective, but why does Frontier's Gunship always look signifcantly longer? And did we resolve this guns on the armored pack mess? I still beleive it's the tubes onthe arms and under the chest launchers..
  4. I dunno, I've kind of abandoned going for the large figures after seeing the AO version of Sheryl, so I'm not heartbroken at all. I have taken a shine to the mecha gashapon though, and I did see a few people selling them for a reasonabe price. I don't know, we'll see.
  5. Luca was a pretty weak character..considering the amount of character development the principle and most of the supporting cast went through. Hell, even Bobby at times was seemed to show some depth. But not Luca..no, just a shallow love interest in Nanase and playing tag-along to Michel, then Alto.
  6. That's actually Alpha Omega, Megahouse and Alter's shared brand whatsitnamewhatever. It should be friggen awesome. ..Sigh..my girlfriend is gonna kill me if I get that..
  7. My list is pretty damn modest compared to just about everyone (but then I am not a huge collector anyway): 1/60 SV-51a (CF) 1/60 VF-0A (CF) 1/60 YF-21 1/72 YF-21 w FPs GNU-DOU YF-21 Arii 15th Anniversary Super Gerwalk VF-1D Arii 15th Anniversary Super Gerwalk VF-1J Arii 15th Anniversary Super Gerwalk Millia Type Arii 15th Anniversary Gerwalk VF-1S I've also got a 1/60 VF-11B on order and an 1/60 DX Armored VF-25S on preorder. I don't have huge plans to expand, all that I particularly want are a DX VF-27 (please!?) and the DX Macross Quarter, the V2 VE-1 and maybe one of the YF-19 repaints, some gashapon or whatever crap suits me , and the ellusive Arii 15th Max Type Super Gerwalk.
  8. Tell her it's art.
  9. It didn't on my Cherokee either..the only sign was the all lighting would get progressively dimmer..
  10. This is why I have hesitated about buying Casablanca..that, and I'm not interested in damn collectors set, I just want the figging movie. CG for the most part seems to depend simply on how well the effects were done in the first place.
  11. Bandai has been rather quiet lately.
  12. I'm with Graham, I like to divorce having to need my computer to be able to play the media. For one, it makes it difficult if you want to take it around and share it with people; you can't always lug around your laptop, or just lend out your computer.
  13. Not really: Landing gear detail (courtesy of MMM) Not by much, anyway.
  14. Nope. Head lasers are 12.7 mm and the translation is only pertaining to the Armored Pack's weaponry. What they might be are there are two ports, one on each side of the armor chestplate, and then identical one's slung under each arm. Maybe those are the 22mm, although they seem bigger than the ball turrets, and I can't specifically remember them firing at all. (But I haven't watched the series since January..)
  15. Oh... nuts. That is really no big loss, I suppose.
  16. I don't know about the magazine, but the Toysdaily pictures do show the detachable cover on the gunpod.
  17. I love how lithe it looks. The feet look pretty slick, too. I had not even noticed them in the press shots,at all, just only now with people taking more detail shots.
  18. THe prices I've seen them go for on Ebay are disgusting. I've paid less for figures of higher quality (my couple of Alter figures cost me less!)..but I guess it's people clamoring for Macross F stuff.
  19. Ditto and likewise. I figured the Sturmvogel's release is too close for comfort to the Ozma Armored that I have already have pre-ordered, and considering I already have a YF-21, I can live without the 22.....................for now. I guess now it will be a race to see what arrives first: my movie Yoko (from Hobby Search which I got a processing notice early this morning) , or the Thunderbolt (from HLJ).
  20. Fantasies is nice, but I still appreciate "Old World Underground.." alot more. I cannot beleive I heard Neko Case being played in the grocery store today, I about died.
  21. I think this is all being blown a TAD out of proportion.
  22. You speak the truth, but I will admit it does make me ponder a preorder of the Sturmvogel instead and sitting out on the VF-11 for meanwhile.
  23. They're a little fuzzy (IMO) on the actual timeline, so Wasp may have well been isolated (maybe tortured?) in the stockade for countless years. Is it just me, or did the second part of a A Human Error have the best homage/in-joke ever? -Scrapper on naming "Snarl"
