  1. A quick few points from my trip to the beach arcades [last holy refuge of the arcade in the US..I swear, also take ina ccount I haven't been ina decent arcade in a couple years since everyone close by has gone under): -Guitar Hero Arcade is nowhere near as cool as the home version. Operators generally kept the machines in high traffic spots for them to garner attention, but it becomes troublesome because you often need the space to play. Not to mention they kept the machine's volume down so the surrounding din nearly always drowned it out. -Has no one come up with a decent arcade racer in the last 5 years? -Light gun shooters seem to be the dominate modern arcade game type. -I was disappointed thatt he largest arcades in a resort town didn't have a SFIV machine. Hell, one did not have a single fighter at all. -Skeeball still kicks ass.
  2. UPS doesn't deliver anything but their premium services on weekends and then only Saturday IIRC (and UPS ground is a crapshoot in regards with getting things out for delivery promptly in the first place), and the USPS doesn't deliver Express/EMS items on Sundays or Holidays without an additional fee paid. The only reason I can think of retaining package at facilty without a noted delivery attempt is probably a customs snafu of some sort.
  3. Yeah, my shipping notice was awaiting me when I got back from the beach. Thank god it's on another credit card.
  4. I snagged a Swerve off of Ebay the other night for an "acceptable" price, largely because just like Dead End to Sideways I just find the color and new head a little more appealing. If he fits together tight inthe same way Dead End does over his counterpart, I know I won't be disappointed.
  5. It's all bull until we see a press release. On that note, I will crap myself if I watch people get suckered into buying another PS3..heaven's why? "But it's 'slim.'" "It's a console, not a cell phone!" /facepalm
  6. Atleast they are in scale to each other.
  7. I looked last night but I didn't see one, but I do want to pick up a pair to stand with my only crossover figure: Gen. Grevious. I think I like ROTF Ravage more than I expected, a great figure even if it makes for a lame transformer. And I think I like deluxe Dead End far more than Sideways. I am in love with that mold, I am really hoping for a more accurately painted premium version.
  8. The waiting for HLJ is really driving me batty. I sure as hell did not preorder as soon as it was possible to do so just in order to be forced to wait for a unknown period after it's release.
  9. Yeah, BBTS isn't the best for those sorts of releases. Generally for Japanese items shopping there is like paying shipping "twice".
  10. Something tells me that perhaps they just have not watched the series. That is the only reason I can think of why people would make that mistake.
  11. NO freaking way? Argh. Why release it the day before?
  12. 1/32? Not in this economy.
  13. As did I, and I'm getting rather antsy as well.
  14. Anything to say about it yet, Graham? There are plenty of anxious overseas ears..
  15. Hobby Search's latest weekly newsletter listed it as released today (Aug 11th). HLJ lists it as available (but low stock) on their website, but I have yet to receive a processing notice for my preorder.
  16. But they always look funky in the first reviews. Sometimes it seems like the first toynuts that grab them up don't quite know what they are messing with.
  17. I don't recall it bearing too many markings in the series.
  18. I don't beleive I've ever seen him at retail. Roadbuster Magnus, yes..but no Shadow Blade.
  19. I guess it's time for the preorder processing watch to begin. God...I cannot wait!
  20. I hope they're correct, it feels as if I've waited forever for this thing.
  21. Yeah, considering the Ghost boosters (with accessories) as around 50 USD. And is the Armored DX going to be an "end of the month" release, or does it have a actual date?
  22. I've honestly wished since the end of the third mvie we could get to see Doc Brown traveling through time on his steampunk train.
  23. I guess in reality it makes the design a lot easier, but the end result drive collectors to by the armored AND non-armored versions if they want to be a completionist. The real question is..will they do that with the Super-packs as well?
  24. Damn, there are a lot of very figures coming down the pipe. Wow, Wingblade Prime is awesome; and I happen to like Blackout. Lockdown and Bludgeon look like must-buys in my book. And geezus, HA Barricade looks good enough to me that I'll stop wishing for a MP version.
