This model have a ot of play and posseability but some compromises had to be done to increase the effect; -The back pack can be opened and closed and the legs moved/ slid backwards in a way to imitate mid transformation. -All fast packs are removable... -The main exaust/truster (feet) can't close, like in fighter position. -To make the arms swing back and under the legs have to be removed... -Hasegawa rocks!!..but they should have made a convertion kit. I can tell it wouldn't have been that difficult..

UPDATE...!!! August 15th 2004 Now 99% done. Sorry it's been these long but summer takes all of my free time on "fun" stuff. I just have to wait for a couple of decals coming from england and complete the small lights and beacons all the main job is practically done.. ****** July 15 2004 Hi again dudes and dudetes; I have heard many times if it was possible to use the bandai and hasegawa models to create a gerwalk mode out of them both. Well, using as references pictures from the hobby japan and dengeky hobbie magazines I realize that to get the best of both worlds 3 kits might have to be used. the hasegawa battroid, fighter and the arm system of the bandai. Take in acocunt that i didn't use any special attachment or poly joints for the model with exception of the shoulder joint. Eventually this model will carry the fast packs which are 85% done and will also acomodate the unoficial gerwalk armor...which fulcy is working on for the 1/48 scale.. Without much ado, the preview pics...

BREAKING NEWS. President Ronald Regan dead.
007-vf1 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
YEAH ! breaking news would be to have found the answer to end world hunger. or another habitated world found in the galaxy... How about a foolproof way to end violence? a dead president? well, we need less of those in the world for sure..with the exception of a few of course... -
I really hope hasegawa get's this one done...

I am just as puzzled as you are...and I am not that much of an ignorant. I guess best thing is to ask what does anyone likes to be called? For my side, I was born in South america, and considered Hispanic. The terminology comes from Hispanola, Espain to be exact an European country. My mother is 3rd generation Spaniard and form italian background; my father is 40% black, I have very little indigenous blood so in a sence I am not really Hispanic...but european or African for that sense.; am I? To me this subject, SOMETIMES, is like the chiken and the egg, meaningless conclusions....

the summer 2004 logo need to be a bit bigger. I dig the sdf1 as well; What size will the poster be?

that's a nice pic ;an all white valk. I guess we can guess that the possitions of missiles in space flight are quite unimportant. As far as I know the valks could be fully dressed in missiles and not have a problem with maneuverability. They would just become a flying bomb ready to make a lot of sparks if blown apart... I also have seen this other fast pack that's been done by the froaty head himself. I am not sure whether is official or not edit for pic

that reactive armor is simply amazing. The colors are right on...

you will love it more or as much than a HG model for sure. They lack articulation but details make up for it. I have the fazz and one of the plates by the chest keep on falling out. Some pieces don't fit pretty well, specially the arm covers on the gerbera T. The design is superb, you won't be dissapointed. My favorites are the one I already have: 1. Deep Striker ( MSA 0011-3) 2. EX-S ( MSA 0011-2) 3. Fazz 4. all of the 0083 show (Gp01,Gp02,Gp03,Gp04, Dom tropen) They just need to make a Zekueins (Sp) and a Jagd Doga as well

You need to share pics of your built models, I wanna see. I remember hearing that you would never offer any of your models to anyone to have them recasted...how people change for the better..... know thy friends...

Sure thing; I don't mind answering all of them. The trick for the painting on the fan racer is just detailed masking and that's all. I didn't take any pieces apart since once you cut through them you end up with rough fitting edges that might show up once you re-attach them. After priming the entire model, I sealed/covered the cockpit and painted most of it in off-white; then masked all of the off-white ( I used tamiya masking tape and took almost entirely the hi-tackiness by sticking it in a linen cloth) area and cut the red edges off with an Xacto knife. I used tamiya colors and airbrushed on them. The tiny decals will desintegrate if you soak them with decaling solution too long so work fast with it or instead use water first until you have it settled and then apply decal solution to seal the decal to the model. I am sorry i don't have any pics of the steps and techniques I took on the contruction since they are pretty much covered by WM Cheng and others. hope that helps a bit V

MACROSS VF-1 BUILT FROM SCRATCH 1/32 SCALE
007-vf1 replied to MACROSS MODELLING's topic in Model kits
El casting de su modelo se ve muy bien. Por lo que veo ustedes sigen los planos de modelo hecho por hasegawa el cual es el mas correcto y completo. Cuanto tiempo se toman en construir uno de esos...? -
First Private Rocket into Space!

Oh no; here we go again with the "I know something that you don't" tread... -
Darn!! I almost get to go this year. The last 2 rained or ir was cloudy and you couldn't see that much...
-
I wouldn't care so much about the quality of the model in itself unless I was expecting a very close resemblance and almost flawless execution to the original model. If the models are dirty cheap I would buy them for kit bashing or scratchbuilding instead.

What I find even more amazing is the tug truck with the realistic chain and the ground crew. One of the best paint details I have ever seen...

I can't help it but myself as an artist, when someone shows me a picture like this I can only say wow!!

It was that an adventure or what! ?? I did have "fun" trying to find the place out of the blue and into an unknown city for me, but was worth it . The only 3 models I could bring with me to keep the load low won prizes, and got to put faces to the PM's and forums posts. Just imagine me walking through desolated streets in LA trying to figure where to find the next bus around the city, back to the airport and walking from museum to museum with all my bags and my carry on in hand...(dude, was I overdoing it or what?) But that's me; as long as I know the language I don't care where I end up. So far I have been able to find my way around and back home....in 4 different countries. I just need a map. So Chris B. if you want to we might be able to coordinate and take the trip together...
