Just a question-- during the Aimo OC version and some other Aimo, during the middle of the song, the melody and pace suddenly changes to that of another song which sounds very familiar to me, but I just can't place the other melody. Can anybody else identify it?

Yea well, its Bandai-- they can release 4-5 Gundam kits from exactly the same mould, just in different colours! I'm not too surprised that they are drawing out the releases, with the clean config first, then super, then armour. If you are looking for the armoured or super versions, just be patient! They will come!

Word from the 1/72 thread (Graham) even says that the VF-25S Ozma looks good with a straight build and stickers, even without panel lining! Thats probably the way to go if you want an accurate, though fragile, toy-- I've transformed my VF-25F twice and I'm already leery of further transformations!* *Not that there are any stress marks or any hint of failure, but the model as a whole just feels extremely flimsy and the intake/hip guns no longer fit into position

Sheryl's Aimo is just to die for!!! It was so good, it literally sent shivers down my spine! +1 to what ntsan said... theres a 1 GB+ FLAC of Nyan Tama floating around.

I would say that this is actually quite competitive-- for the same price as a 1/72, you get something that is 3/4 the size, but doesn't require assembly, painting etc. Quite alot of people would go for this, I think-- and the fact that they will make ALOT of the VFs from other series as well all in this scale is a pretty big draw.

I guess a logical retcon then would have the YF-24 tested on Eden?

Considering how quickly Roy's VF-1S could patch up Hikaru's VF-1D with the aid of a few tentacle-waldos, the VFs may be more easy to service than we think! Besides, even fighter jets nowadays have self-diagnostic and limited self-repair properties(or rerouting of systems around damaged parts to restore functionality). Think of how much more advanced it can be!

Well looking at my 1/72 VF-25F, there is actually a tiny swing bar that brings both the legs down to the proper position in gerwalk and battroid mode-- this piece is really small and Bandai probably sacrificed it to make the toy more durable-- otherwise the engines/intakes would be too far back in fighter mode! Also, given how the neck sits in my model, I suspect that in fighter mode there probably isn't much space for the neck-- otherwise it will push the 'gullet' of the fighter down and the VF-25 will start looking like a YF-19! All these I discovered due to mis-transformations of my 1/72, so the 1/72 is really quite sturdy if fairly line-art accurate if you are going for that! However, I just for the Macross Frontier Official File #2, and on the last page they have this big-ass promo picture of the 1/60, and the back of the legs doesnt stick up past the shield like it is supposed to in fighter mode! It kind of hangs below the shield-- I hope it is due to the weight of the legs rather than how it is sculpted,because if its the sculpt then its kind of a deal breaker because its so ugly O_O.

Man the VF-25 looks good in fighter mode! The VF-25 looks so sleek in fighter mode I think even the 1/72 model doesn't really do it justice, with all the transformation parts leaving gaps that kind of spoil the look. I would buy a fighter only VF-25 *hint*

NICE! I'm still waiting for my -25S kit and I hope I can do as well as you! The -25S looks fine without the panel lines actually, now that I've seen your photos. Did you build the -25F alto kit? I'm wondering what the difference is between the intake/hip mounted guns-- they seem to fit much better now!

From my Alto kit, it seems that the main problem is that it is hard to get the lower intakes into the proper position, it always hangs low and doesn't fit nicely with the upper intakes/wing root part, so the intake gun piece will sit lower as well. I don't really see any solution other than to cut off the ball joint for the gun and glue the beam gun to the wing root, but that would mean I'd have to commit to fighter mode...

I put forward that the damage caused by micromissiles is due to the carbon dioxide in the can expanding on impact--- so Appale Genki must be more fizzy than beer!

Any tips about getting the intake beam guns into the proper positions? After a few transformations I cant seem to get my legs/engine nacelles to sit properly, resulting in the problem. I wish Bandai had come up with a way of locking all the wing root pieces into position.

Heh... Hopefully the durability of this is good to make up for all the swapping!

Thanks for the photos! I just got my 1/72 Alto up, and have a problem with the beam guns on either side of the intake covers not attaching properly. Hopefully the 1/60 doesnt have the same problems!

Hmm thats one possibility.. F-4 Phantoms are being converted into UAVs now, for example. However as I understand it the backlash against UCAVs was pretty big after the Sharon Apple Incident (might be one reason we don't see UCAVs in Macross 7, it took until Macross Frontier for it to be re-introduced). Heh thats a good question... does SK understand english?
