  1. Wow you built all those lego valks? Amazing! PM on the way for MLCAD files.
  2. Shouldn't this: Is Brera's target Minmei? Be: Is Bilrer's target Minmei? Instead?
  3. Oh good stuff! The hip guns on my 1/72 VF-25F are a constant headache and a reason why I have to think twice before every transformation! It is practically impossible to make them fit properly. NugundamII: Pre-orders for the VF-25F Alto Custom Super Pack have closed, and although it has been said that a VF-25S Ozuma Custom Super Pack will be released, no news of the actual release has come out yet. Needless to say, there is no news at all of the Armoured Pack for either Alto or Ozuma--I suspect further releases will be about the time of the movie ~ June 2009.
  4. That just lying, Pete-- You know you'll end up getting multiple copies of both Wicked Ace: Does everything on the DX model fit back perfectly when transforming from Battroid back to fighter? The 1/72 is pretty fiddly to get everything back in place, an unfortunate side effect of the tight joints--and the intake/hip guns just never fit properly for the VF-25F 1/72. Does the DX have the same problem or does everything snap into place?

I'm just glad that my girlfriend doesn't object to my collection of Macross and Gundam model kits and toys! Counting kits alone I must have spent over 2000 dollars!
  6. Thanks for the images! I would have liked bigger ones though, especially for gerwalk mode. Looking at the VF-25G, I just don't see how the rifle could fit under the fighter with those stubby landing gear-- which is kinda sad. I half suspect that the 1/72 had such massive landing gear to accommodate the sniper rifle for the 25G. Pete: Go for the model kits.. you won't be disappointed. Assemble, sticker, panel-line and display. The toys will be for playing. That said, however, I've transformed my 1/72 25F about 10 times now and its no worse than when I first got it... so it should be fine even if you want to play with the model kit.
  7. Oh yes.. Octos please!
  8. OMG you killed Roy! /Southpark How much did you have to cut him up to fit? Is he missing arms/legs?
  9. You never know, it just might happen! That would be rather sad though-- I'd rather Yamato come up with new products than just release different colours of old ones.
  10. Emphasis on cost and durability over accuracy...and a nostalgia for chunky monkeys? The Bandai VF-25 Model kits are certainly accurate-- it's absolutely gorgeous and my favourite model kit! P.S. I can offer a loving home for your YF-21!
  11. Looks great! I guess this shows the advantages of using CAD to design your valkyries-- less anime magic, and the toys can actually replicate what is done in the show! Edit: Dude.. pink crocs? O_O
  12. Hmm good point. Guess we just need a new shoulder design then! Or smaller pins.
  13. It looks great! I would probably get this sometime.. Just not on my immediate list with all the MacF releases that are coming out.
  14. I'd imagine that the clones wouldn't take on the same names as their progenitors, so the Max and Miriya in Macross 7 probably are the real ones. But I agree, this should really be in another thread.
  15. That's a valid map--- for the Millenium Falcon although maybe you could find the Megaroad on Khomm or Byss in the Galactic core-- that's why they haven't shown up yet in the Macross universe!
  16. I think the point that people are trying to make here is that you can't really complain about quality if you buy pirated goods-- well you can complain, but you'd just sound whiny. Poor quality should be expected when you buy pirated. No one is condemning you for buying pirated goods because almost everybody here watched the fansubs anyway. But, if you want to watch your anime in better quality, make a little effort and download the good fansubs-- and buy the subbed/dubbed DVDs when/if they come out!
  17. Does anyone with both a VF-0 and a VF-1 v2 want to compare the hinges for the two? Why does the VF-0 hinge seem fine while VF-1 v2 seem so problematic?
  18. Oh well, since we have dedicated threads-- does anyone have any shoulder issues with the new re-issue of the 1/60 VF-1S Roy? I ordered through overdrive but am combining shipping with my Banpresto figures so I won't get mine till March/April.
  19. I actually think that combining all the VF-1 v2 threads into one is a good idea because they are basically the same product and have the same issues (i.e. shoulder hinge). Is there a reason for trying to split up the thread?
  20. They probably downsized the plastic pieces and used the same metal pin-- resulting in less plastic around the hinge area and increased fragility.
  21. Yep I got my shipping notice too! Should be able to get mine by the end of this week! EMS Shipping should take what, 3-5 days? I can hardly wait! Ghost Train: Bandai seems to have downsized their pilots for the VF-25-- the DX 1/60 has 1/72 sized pilots, while the 1/72 model kit has 1/100 sized pilots. Apparently the reason for this was to thicken the LERXes for increased strength and durability for the transformation.
  22. Well, if it was prone to breaking, you could just leave it in fighter mode!
  23. You could always put the sheryl nome decal on the other way round!
  24. And your wish is answered! Alto w/ Super parts coming out this February, just check out HLJ or Rainbowten.
  25. So somewhere out there there could be hundreds of Max and Miriya Jenius' running around?
