  1. Look's like you have successfully rescued the Gerwalk mode of the DX! Well done! Looks like it balances quite well too.

Well for one it doesn't contain a Millia figure unlike the original.
  3. Yes, but you know that's just going to result in a new release, and there's going to be tonnes of heated discussion comparing the 'old' DX vs the 'new' DX. Good times ahead! Hopefully the new releases will be more anime-accurate ala the model kits--I really don't see a reason why they can't make it accurate and durable given how much abuse my model kit has taken!
  4. I'd agree about the animation, but keep in mind that they have months in between the release of each episode of OVA and 1 week in between each episode in the broadcast series. All together, keeping in mind the timeline of Plus-->7-->0-->Frontier, I think that the animation quality didn't drop as much from Zero to Frontier as it did from Plus to 7.
  5. On the other hand, he's not the type to gain rank in the military. I'd guess that he would continue in the test pilot role.
  6. I'm not sure how this DX line will fare once the movie comes out, since SK has indicated that the movie designs will be changed. Otoh, Bandai may always re-issue these.
  7. I hope the peg-in-hole joints hold up! I can just imagine it now, lifting up your Battroid or Gerwalk to play with it or move it, and the legs just drop off. Not a nice sight. Also, I'm not sure how well the 1/100 VF-1s would sell because at the current price they would be only 1/2 the price of the 1/60s... not really worth it IMO.
  8. I would say shattered-- unless you think Bandai's Chunky Monkeys are equivalent in aesthetic value to Yamato's VF-1s
  9. And logos can have his dance troupe... The Dancing Destroids! I already have it in my mind, a posey of Destroid's pirouetting gracefully to Sheryl's "Brother Spaceship".
  10. Wow! I really like the metallic sheen on the inner parts, really brings the model to life!
  11. They should work, if the magnets are strong enough. My Alto kit's hip guns can fit into position quite nicely when I squeeze down on the intakes from the top/bottom, if you can visualise it. It's just that the kit just doesn't want to fit together nicely like that without some force.
  12. PM me as well, thank you very much!
  13. I'd ask who bidded for Starbuck's flightsuit instead, since it would likely be more...ripe...than a dress.
  14. INTJ... Guess I'm in the right career for my personality then!
  15. Well if it does then that wire/teletubby/antenna like thingy between the two 'headlasers' on the RVF-25 would have to be explained then. I think SK has already stated that the design (or coloring?) of the VF-25 will change slightly for the movie-- anything that sells more toys for Bandai is good afterall. I hope the Armoured and Super packs have their own entry! There is too little data about them as it is!
  16. Deculture! How do those of us outside of Japan get ahold of them then?
  17. Enough with your 1/48 fanaticism! Everybody knows that 1/60 is where it's at! Get with the times! To paraphrase Abe Simpson: You used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what you are with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to you.
  18. You forgot: 8b) Everybody begs for a review 8c) Someone posts a review 8d) Robotech bashing 8e) Further discussion and bashing of toy, with a few praises before 8f) process begins again with next product.
  19. Hmm that's interesting-- That means that the fit varies on a kit by kit basis. I used to think that they made some changes to the mould for the VF-25S so it all fits together better, but that doesn't seem to be the case now. Perhaps the mould wears out, so if you get a kit that was produced when the mould was fresh, you get a kit that fits together better, and vice versa? I suspect the Bandai modellers got the first few kits so it all fits together well-- either that or they glued their fighter together and used a different kit for the Gerwalk and Battroid modes where the fit issues don't show up.
  20. From the pictures, it looks like the RVF-25 is going to be another neckless Battroid. Not that it would matter much since I think most people would want to display it in fighter mode. Also, it is displayed in Gerwalk with the fully extended in this picture:
  21. Exactly what I was thinking! Except that my Mikael will be displayed in Clean configuration and I'll find some way for my Banpresto Klan Klang to wear the Super packs!
  22. I think its more the fact that the Super packs make it look much better, with the bulked up portions making the other parts look slimmer and closer to the anime. sh002: The VF-171 EX Alto custom should be a shoo-in for production, as will the RVF-171 Luca, and probably a CF version. The VF-27 should be made as well I hope. The Koenig Monster... I wish but probably not. It would really be MASSIVE. DarkReaper: +1 to your gripe about the landing gears. Maybe they will release the movie version with proper landing gears as a bonus
  23. Hmm my Ozma has been quite perfect. Here are some pics of the hip/intake guns. The fit is much much better as compared to my alto kit! The left side hip gun doesn't fit so well though.
  24. VF-27 model kit ftw! I hope they release it soon!
  25. That doesn't make sense, since the moulds for the super parts are done. Given that they haven't announced the web exclusive for the Ozma Super parts, I can think of 2 scenarios: 1) There was such high demand for Alto Super parts that they diverted production of Ozma's to satisfy demand. This could explain why they re-opened the web ordering for Alto. 2) They are slowing down releases in lieu of the current economic outlook. This could explain why there haven't been any announcements of new products past March.
