Nice... it's good to finally see a single engined VF design...

You know, Macross World is really a front for the secret plan to take over the world.

Yea but the sensor array on the VE-1 doesn't look anything like the fin on the Yukikaze while the RVF-25's ventral sensor fin does-- even in it's mode of deployment. I'd agree that the VF-25 does look like it was influenced by Aquarion, especially around the feet! -
From various anime licenses, VF-0B,C,D VF-4 VF-11B Booster From VF-X2 license, VA-3 Invader VF-11 Protect Armour VF-17 VF-19A VF-22 More Obscure VFs VF-9 VF-3000 VF-5000 And that's just off the top of my head. I don't really see a problem here!

A slight hitch seems to be that Bandai doesn't use normal crosshead screws for the toy, so dissembling the other shoulder might prove to be a difficult task in itself. I know I will check my VF-25Fs shoulders when they arrive. Looks like Bandai is paying homage to the VF-1 v2.0 line! -
The front fuselage, as well as heatshield would be one major component change as well as the wings. However, only the bottom of the legs would have to be changed for tail fins, the intakes are fine, and it's a minor change at that. The backpack/rocket pack wouldn't need to be changed at all-- they can just remove the tail fins as the stubs are present on the VF-0D. Also, if the VF-1D didn't require the body resculpt, the VF-0D won't either. The head is the same as the VF-0A as well. Finally, even if the changes are more extensive and it costs as much as a VF-11B or YF-21, the demand for a VF-0D should be huge! It's about the only purpose designed, combat operational, twin seater VF out there. It's unique out of all the other twin seater VFs, most of which are either trainer-designated or ELINT. Also, just think about the VF-0C-- same front fuselage as the VF-0A! The VF-0D front fuselage could likely be used for the VF-0B as well. It's a veritable mix and match!

You can count on the Q-Rea appearing as a toy! Might not be anytime soon though-- I think once Bandai is done with the current DX 1/60 VF-25s, it would be time to produce the movie version DX-25s.. the Q-Rea will likely appear after that.

1/72 Bandai VF-25F Messiah build-up step-by-step (sort of)

There's still a need for the smaller decals like the SMS logo, the aircraft number etc. But yes, I think painting in the red/black piping would be excellent, especially if done all round the part so the edges are not white! -

You are really forgiving! Many people would've roasted Yamato over an open fire just for that broken screw. On the face of it, though, I guess it would be pretty easy to fix, if you can find a screw of the right diameter and length--I hope standard crosshead screws will do since Bandai seems to have used a different type! Please do post up your fix in case anybody else encounters the same problems! Yamato might have broken plastic, but Bandai has broken metal! I guess I'll have to transform my VF-25F once I get it--shipped from Angolz on the 18th and out of customs today, its on its way!!! Edit: About that bent wing-- thats just the way the VF-25 was designed. It's supposed to have a dihedral, which is pretty weird for a fighter (why the heck does a fighter want more roll stability anyway, given that the center of mass for the VF-25 is below the centre of lift?) -
Looks great! But they all look like variations on the same theme, especially the Gerwalk mode where the bottom 3 all look like the YF-19! The XVF-24 looks to be a pretty straightforward recombination of the YF-19 and YF-21--- in Battroid mode the wings are clearly from the YF-19 even though in Gerwalk and Fighter they are from the YF-21.

Why would that be? I'd have thought that it would be even more awesome with all the decals on! -

So Jenius, did you get a Beagle Cyclone? I'd like to read your review of it! -
Try using a neon pink scrunchie! It could be classified as 'research' for your Destroid Dance Duo!

VF-0D for sure! I have no idea why they didn't make it after the VF-0A and S. Perhaps Graham could shed some light on the issue? There is at least 30%-50% commonality of parts with the A and S so many of the moulds could be reused after all.

Anybody with an exact description of the ball joint that they used to fix their Ozma? I know someone has used a hip joint cannibalized from the GNU VF-11B, but not everybody hates the GNU-DOU line that much -

On the topic of the RVF-25--- did SK copy the ventral ELINT fin straight out of Yukikaze? I'm pretty sure no real-world plane has that kind of fin. Also, since Ozma has SMS001 markings, Michael is SMS003 and Luca is SMS004 and Alto is SMS007, I assume Gilliam is SMS002, who are SMS005 and SMS006? -

That's good to know then! Still, there are some sacrifices to be made I guess. Maybe missile hatches cant open, etc. -

Hmm someone recently took a VF-0A Shin and basically chopped his arms and legs off to fit. And I think earlier in the ver2 of this thread it was shown that Yamato's pilots were a little too big for 1/60 scale! Are you going to sculpt your pilot or just mod him from a Yamato? -

Good to know about the Zeta! Hopefully the VF100s line will be as durable then. Yep-- 1/100 is the way to go for me.. I'm planning a diorama (really more a collection) of 1/100s so my Koenig Monster can finally feel at home. I'll probably get some of the old 1/100 destroid kits as well. I'm just afraid that they will miss out on things like FAST packs, etc-- I'm not sure how well they can be done in the 1/100 scale, although Toynami's 1/100 VF-1s (for all their faults) certainly show that it is possible, at least for the VF-1. -

Haha yea May'N has a great voice. I really like Maaya Sakamoto's Ame ga Furu in Linebarrel of Iron though.

Looks like it's being marketed on her fame from Macross Frontier... heh.

Hmm it looks great enough as it is! If you have multiple copies, though, there's no harm trying for the sake of research.
