  1. You could always sell it off... but it's an amazing design and I'm sure you'll want one for keeping and one for playing with! Anyway from what you described I don't think both transactions went through so you should be fine.
  2. It's a movie year after all... interest will be higher, and they might as well get all the less popular characters out of the way. I hope their R&D department isn't slacking away but coming up with something amazing though! Like a VF-0D or 1/60 Koenig Monster or something.
  3. Yep... and the US dollar is even worse off now than it was then, so...
  4. Sweet! Where did you find it? Would look nice with my clear VF-25F!
  5. Alright, I just bought the Clear VF-25F to try something new and it should arrive in a few weeks. I want to know if there are any special tips for building clear models? Do I treat the whole thing like a massive, multi-pieced canopy? Is giving it a gloss coat of future a good thing, or will it just make the kit 'disappear' and make it look like I have decals floating in mid air? Any help will be appreciated!
  6. The model kit, on the other hand, is dark blue and not black
  7. I'm not too sure about that... I mean, sure, Frontier is popular now, because the series was just released and the movie is coming. But the same thing can be said about the situation between Gundam and Gundam 00-- Gundam 00 is more popular because it is more recent. The diehard fans will still support the original, and many of the fans of the current series will move onto other things, with maybe a few becoming diehards.
  8. Ahh well. Hopefully SK will get back to Mac0 or something then-- maybe Bandai will push him to it as part of their 'evil' plan to promote the VF100s line? Hehe. D.D.: You can just look at the recent US feat of using two satellites to observe a third satellite-- space fighters will be unmanned. The Simpsons predict the future again!
  9. Thanks a lot, Gubaba! But wasn't it mentioned somewhere in that MacF episode that shin/the birdman folded out or something? Maybe I've gotten things mixed up.
  10. She might be a bitch, but she's a smart one! and sexy in a dominatrix kind of way
  11. But you know its not going to be the same! They gotta modernise the story... put it in the current context...throw in a handful of conservative bashing...wait.. this isn't hollywood, is it?
  12. February... costs about 75 dollars I'd guess, with the current rates.
  13. Of course, Angolz works from HK while Overdrive is from Japan. Overall I'd say that Overdrive is probably better for new releases/preorders!
  14. Thanks for the details That's MacGuvyer right there.
  15. That would be badass... multiple sounds for hatches, launch warning, scramble etc
  16. I'd go with creepy rather than cool... 'Chicks' with dicks are not for me, thanks
  17. Seeing as to how they already wiped out a large portion of the middle east with the first memento mori, I don't see why not.
  18. edwin3060 I don't follow the logic. That's like saying the VF-17 is a space fighter so it's wings aren't really meant for flying in an atmosphere. They certainly aren't for decoration It doesn't matter if the variable fighter is 50%, 75% or 90% space fighter, it's still made for all-environment operation. If that means it's stealth system is only worth it when the Nightmare finds itself rarely operating in the atmosphere, that's what multi-role is all about. Having said that, I'll grant you that in light of the inherent silliness that is Macross as a whole, it might be splitting hairs to say stealth in Macross isn't meant for space. However, if a rule hasn't been broken, there is always the possibility it was "by design". Maybe I'm just too much of a fan, but I'd rather give Macross the benefit of the doubt. Besides, it's been my observation that we assume too much when it comes to anime. I've had fans tell me Macross isn't real because space fighters don't have wings. I kid you not. So in contrast to those that never scratch the surface of the fiction, I prefer to err on the side of detail when examining Macross. I do run a mecha website after all Here's the best scan I can make of that tiny picture from Issue #8 of the Macross Chronicle. Sucks I know, but blame Big West Fair enough. Looks like that photo needs a lot of love to be made clearer!
  19. If Bandai is handling the MacF portion they could easily throw in lots of side stories ala Gundam and make the chance to sell lots and lots of model kits and toys at the same time, so I think your wishes may be fulfilled!
  20. You know what they say about sci fi and technology: "If you dream it, they will make it!" Perhaps a chance for Bandai to re-open the Mac7 franchise?
  21. That's interesting... even his name looks quite feminised! (In Kanji at least) Zinjo: Problem is, SK already went with the DYRL style black and colour stripes for the MacF TV release... so maybe he's going back to the SDFM style for the movie release?
  22. There's no central node for a superbeing to exist!
  23. Yep agreed but that still doesn't explain why the varja cables were solid lines while the cable towing Alto's VF was a dotted line... inconsistent animation?
  24. Then it's time for you to expand your anime horizons and look to the other Bandai cash-cow of 2008/2009, Gundam 00
