  1. Not only that, there's only 4 episodes left and nothing seems to be resolved. The plot might be too convoluted for its own good.
  2. Maxim: The Movie is right
  3. I hope your rant was cathartic! You have clearly been bottling up alot! Anyway, just a few points as I understand it: SK himself admitted that he didn't know what to do with the story, which is why he brought Ohnogi in--- judging from the reception of MF so far I think Ohnogi succeeded wildly. You shouldn't be too nostalgic for the Macross Plus storyline-- people remember Macross Plus for the mecha porn more than the actual story or love triangle IMO. Still, your personal preferences are your own--- and you might just get to see the MF that you like, judging by the news about the MF Movie.
  4. And I clarified with-- Like Mr March says, "Don't jump to conclusions!" The reason why I was thinking of scans of the VF-27 in the first place was that the current pics he has sucks, through no fault of his own.
  5. +1 I think thats the reason for the crappy clip on Sound boosters and missile packs that will be coming out as exclusive sets as well. I just wish that Bandai, being bigger and all, would be better organised than Yamato (or at least learn from Yamato's mistakes).
  6. Oooh that sucks. I guess you have to build it with the Super packs on or off then..
  7. Well, the way the EX-Gear works, it actually becomes the seat for the VF-25, so this is actually accurate. I just wish they included a pilot figure (even if it is a moulded blob like the DX)
  8. No one's suggesting that people post up full page scans of the Chronicle.
  9. Dude, no one has even seen the sculpt yet... so relax! It's only coming out in June. But I wouldn't think so-- the individual missiles are too small.
  10. I've bought but not assembled it. But I don't think you will damage the stickers if you just fit it on and not keep putting it on and taking it off.
  11. Yep I know... I'm going to get the whole set of Chronicles eventually, but for now there's too much going on in toys and models and I have to ration my funds!
  12. Really? 980 yen?? That's low! I'm glad I sold my GNU-DOUs when I did then--- I only had them for about a month and wasn't too impressed. Anyway, I hope this will be better because it can transform. Really, the line only holds interest for me because of the possibility of getting VFs from all the series.
  13. Heh I get the feeling the cathy decals will be small, simply because they are providing 3 of them, and they can be placed anywhere apparently.
  14. The gunpod for the 1/60 DX toy is 13.5 cm long unextended, 15 cm extended and 1.2 cm at the widest-- I think the DX toy has the most anime-accurate gunpod so far in terms of design and how it extends.
  15. I guess I wasn't clear enough. I already said that I would be buying the issue, and I was waiting to see Mr March put up HQ scans of the Pictures (retouched in his own unique way).
  16. It's half the length, and about 1/4 the volume, so yes I think its quite small when considered in its own right. Anyway, even considering economies of scale and all, I'd still have liked them to have coloured canopies. I should think that the Armoured version would come out before the DX toy does, which means it would come out before June.
  17. Oooh any idea where we can watch that?
  18. I think there will always be people who want things at a lower price, its only natural. But as long as you are happy with it, you should just get the toy!
  19. Just some pictures of the QF-4000/AIF7S Ghost 1/72 model kit, clearly showing the 25mm beam gun (ventral) and some triple port weapon on the side. There is still another weapons system unaccounted for-- I think it is the missile system and these are in the pods above the intakes on the Ghost where the Super packs for the old Ghost X-9 would be. The key differences, in comparison with the V-9 Ghost pictures on M^3, is that the canards and ventral fins are swept backwards rather than forwards. The V-9 also has a beam gun in place of the dorsal sensor of the QF-4000. There are also some stealth/LO stylings in the design given that the wing/fin sweep angles are all the same, the dihedral on the canards and the main wings are the same, and the engine exhausts are similar in style to the B-2/YF-23 with serrated edges and a slit-like form to promote exhaust mixing with ambient air to reduce the IR signature.
  20. I decided not to build either Alto or Luca, but to build a Ghost first! Its small, simple, and doesn't take too long to finish, with a total of about 10-15 parts. At the same time, I'm impressed by the level of detail on it, including clear yellow parts for the dorsal sensor and ventral nose tip sensor. Which just brings up the question of why Bandai couldn't mould the cockpit canopy of Luca in the same colour. The included mini base with SMS logo is amazing as well. Here are some pictures of my rough build. Just a note of caution-- quite a lot of painting is required if you want it to be show accurate because Bandai moulded many parts as just 1 piece.
  21. Thanks for the correction =) The ISC may not be the first anti-g countermeasure, but it certainly is the first that actually reduces the g levels, rather than the system in the VF-15, which just stimulates the body to resist the gs. KR: Good point. Also, if the effect of the ISC is proportional, I would think that the body and mind (esp. muscle memory) of the pilot can be trained to gauge the g's he is pulling from what he actually feels, which should help in the control of the VF-25, given that we know the EX-Gear system works by detecting some electrical field generated from either the nerves or the muscles.
  22. I'm hoping the Cathy decal will be big enough to replace the skull on the back plate, though I don't think it will be.
  23. Heh is this info from the SG collection forums? I think it is flawed because that guy translated off the top half of the picture and missed the bottom half. VFTF1: I wouldn't be too optimistic about the head lasers, since its only the back plate that will be changed so far (and the rear landing gear bay hinges) but who knows, more changes may be announced soon, each announcement driving another knife into the heart of those who already got their DX toy (like me)
  24. OK... we really need someone to translate this before we all jump to conclusions... any kind soul, please?
  25. OK, I know that the Super parts will fit my current DX VF-25F---But I would have liked the Armour parts to be able to fit as well. These holes could have just as easily been put into the first production run of the DX toys, and their exclusion just shows poor planning by Bandai. All in all, I'd say that the DX line shows quite a bit of rush work and poor planning.
