Sorry that I don't know what to look for to tell if the design is revised... Does that photo tell anything at all?
-
I am kind of in a rush, so I can only take a pic on the arms. Hope this helps! Well, a pic on the package won't take much time. My 0A and 0A Shin don't have the bubble wrappers.
-
I haven't had the shoulder problem with my 1/60s (touch wood), so I don't have a good idea on what to look for. Here are som pics, if that helps: I actually have an exam tmr, so I don't have much time to play with it... Shoulder pic 1 Shoulder pic 2

Exactly my thought when I see people selling their 1/48 collection; they will miss it sooner or later. As I've said before, 1/48 and 1/60 are not complete subsitutes.

Thanks for explaining! I misunderstood you. And while it is an improvement in technology to make thin lines (which Yamato emphasizes on their web site), I've heard complaints that they are hardly noticeable. What kind of improvement it is if it is "more difficult to make", but not "look nicer"? I suppose there's the size issue - if you have the same width as 1/48 for these panel linings on a 1/60, it would become drainage on the mechas. Dilemma!

I photoshop'ed it to fix the fuselage problem. That's why I have been whining about the fuselage thing. Hope you don't mind I tampered your work.
-
Hmm... You want those engraving noticeable, right? Otherwise you don't need them at all. Or I might have used the wrong word ("engraving") that you think I am referring to the seams...? For the 1S: except for the shoulder fix, in fact many people with an 1A and 1S here can do a review on it right now...

Somebody already got their Hikaru 1S! And the M&M, of course. Can't wait!!!!!!
-
Sorry, I should have said "they won't open UNTIL 4pm". The logic is that there would be few people shopping earlier than that anyways. 4pm is the time that high school (secondary school) students have finished classes. This is for those "specialty toy shops" only; most shops in Hong Kong open in the morning.
-
I've been told that the Hikaru 1S and M&M Queadluun-Raus (anyone who can spell it out of their memory?) have already arrived. I feel so itchy all over my body now! If the shops are open, I would rush there during lunch hour. But they don't open till 4pm.

Oh! The arms are having a new design this time? Cool. Good that I restrain myself from placing order on the VF-0S+Ghost combo from HLJ. It was too expensive to me with the shipping (and the Yen of course). I'll have to unpack the 0A to find the difference too... Thanks for the info!

I don't like the rubber feel of the glove hands (come with the 1Js) or the GBP hands... They don't seem to hold well. The hands from 1/60 are great for the 1/48... You have extras anyways!
-
I like the knives idea! I wonder what is the purpose of personal pistols for pilots. Shooting whom? The bodybuild of each pilot is very different (except that Hikaru and Max are similar, Focker is very tall, Kakizaki is chunky, Millia is feminine), so they need a new mold every time I guess.
-
Placed, yes. Retractable afterwards... Haven't tried. However, the 1/48 gunpod cannot fit in the 1/60 extra hand; the grip is too thick to fit. I am thinking to saw something thinner..

Sure thing to do if I get the chance (when my wife is not around)! I feel so guilty to spend this much this month. Just to show that there are no cracks, right?
-
In that case you too need a special version of Focker with a mortal wound and a guitar.
-
I really really want the Macross characters with Revoltech! I have taken out my wallet already. But please don't make them like the VF-1's - with the shrugging shoulders.
-
Actually the Hikaru 1S would be in the shop on Sat officially. But I've heard that it would be earlier. Can't be sure about this one. The date for VF-0S though, is answered by the shop owner himself. Please, Defender and Tomahawk OD, don't come out in time!
-
I don't know what to do tomorrow. I used to buy toys when my wife is late for home from work; but tomorrow she would have half-day leave. The Hikaru 1S and VF-0S would be there tomorrow!!!! Aiya!

I respect everyone's opinion and preference, and I very much agree 1/60 v2 is far more poseable with much better hands (not the extra hands though - a bit big even for my 1/48). I just want to share my views that 1/60 v2 is still far from perfect personally: - The plate of the backpack fell off during my first transformation. - Some joints are too tight (e.g. the extendable knees) that some people advise to unscrew the parts and fix it. I am skipping the shoulder problem as that is expected to be fixed. - The fuselage and the collar bone area is ugly... That's a major problem to me. - I hear people calling the legs "chicken legs". (personally, I think the legs are fine when you put on the FAST parts) I know some people like it sleek, but obviously some people think it's overdone... - Unless you panel-line it, the engravings are unnoticeable a few feet away. (the 1/48 ones are more obvious)
-
It would be here in Hong Kong tomorrow!
-
Sarcasm noted. If Tomahawk OD and Defender get delivered "on time" (supposingly Dec too), that means 7 units in a month. I have to dig in my saving to pay for all those!
-
I still haven't seen it in the local shop... But if this site carries it, it means it's already released. Darn! How much money do I need this month?
-
The one on the left of Angelbird? Yes, that's the 25th anniversary VF-1S And for Macross Zero toys: VF-0A (CF) VF-0A with Ghost Booster (Shin) VF-0S (re-issue soon) SV-51r (Ivanov) SV-51r (Nora) SV-51 (CF) Macross Plus: YF-19 YF-19 (25th anniversary) YF-21 VF-11B (issue in April 09)

I incline to agree with you... Yamato has problem on QCs, but you can choose to buy it or not, and they do have the after sales service to fix the parts. Toynami, on the other hand, is trying to take away your choices.
