  1. Funny when it is not even perfect transformation. I know I shouldn't ask that much for such a small toy, but then it's them who said "perfect" first.
  2. I think it looks very nice. Just that I won't be getting it at such an inflated price. Won't surprise me if they re-issue it again some time later. The Focker was limited too!
  3. Ah thanks for clearing that up. It looks better in the tamashii too for what it is actually designed for. It looked so bland with a fighter mode VF100 in the pic above.
  4. Except Japan, that is. Saw the DX selling at lower than 12000 yen on Yahoo Japan - which is typical in Japan because things are normally sold cheaper than the offical price - and thus they are not inflated. The 25S is under 10000 yen.
  5. That's the price inflated by the shops, not the price set by Bandai. For 12000 yen toys/ models, typically in HK we expect the price to be around $750 (or lower in many cases, just like your VF-25S kit). So I won't say the DX itself is overpriced... I blame that there're no offical products for the DX line here!
  6. And that stand costs much more than the SMS action base stand? (1375 yen vs 800 yen) I like that stand pretty much, BTW.
  7. This may give you some insight on the licenses Bandai owns ("Bandai owns"! I sound so fanatic): (Picture borrowed from uwants)
  8. Judging on the availably in the market, I think the Stealth 1J wasn't a really popular model... The Kakizaki bird didn't sell well too... But I think being in the squad with someone famous has some advantage.
  9. Thanks Graham, that's a great review. Me too may get a VF-2SS, but otherwise I would prefer other alternatives at this price point.
  10. What a sight! I wish I have space to display my VFs too...
  11. In case it is misleading; the "Bandai Customer Relationship Centre" thing is read from the above notice, not that I heard from another source. Didn't express myself well enough!
  12. Thanks! So we actually have 1/60 vf-1.1 (that can use the FPs)?
  13. From what I understand... It's not about assembly faults. It's owing to "development reasons", the future manufacturing of DX models would have the following differences, blah blah blah. (It's from Bandai Customer Relationship Centre)
  14. I don't know what happened. So Yamato had a version that can't equip the FP in version 1?
  15. This is Tai Chi:
  16. Another post I had on TD... It was about VF-1S playing Wing Chun (the Chinese martial art thing). I'll skip the description here, cuz I don't really know how to express in English!
  17. This is a short story I posted before Valentine on another board: When going on a date, it'd been so sweet. When you are married, things get ugly... It may hurt... your relationship. But when there is a mouse/ [or whatever pests] in the house: "Honey, don't worry. Here I am! Semi-auto or Full-auto?" "Darling I'm so glad you are here!" "I'll always be around when you need me, honey." Afterwards, they [whatever you think they'll be happy doing] happily together. Mayor-style waving:
  18. I mean inflated in the market (local shops), but not in the recommended yen price... I bought the bundle at... US$51, but the standalone super parts are selling for US$23 at the moment. (currency converted to US$ for discussion purpose)
  19. Thanks! I have no skills at all in modelling. Don't care about putty anymore, since I have accustomed to those seams after playing with the Yamato toys. And don't know air-brushing (broke one when I was 11 and never had one afterwards). I can't paint well too with a brush. But Bandai has a great design and a great mold. Not even have to apply glue. Just do the panel lines and sticker, and you'll get a similar model as in my pics! (the Chinese topic of my post in Toysdaily means "let's plain-assemble together", and is meant to show how the model would look even for some modelling-idiot like me) It is tedious and time-consuming though, especially to apply all those decals/ stickers onto the model. If you are new to applying decal, probably you should choose the stickers. They are much more durable than the decals, which may be torn on your first transformation! Nice collection you have there too! I wish I have a proper display case for my collection.
  20. This is the bundled pack (the standalone parts price is so inflated!); I built the super parts only from the box as I already have made a VF-25F. I will build another 25F later with the Sheryl sticker. I am no pro modeller so I don't think this post should go to the model section; I just do it plain with almost no painting. It already looks good with the decals/ stickers on with panel lining. For the chest armor and the shoulders, it's easier as you only need to remove the plates quite easier. You need to actually disassemble the groin and the hips to put on the super parts. So keep this in mind if you plan to get a super part for Luca!
  21. Just finished my Super VF-25F with the SMS stand: More pics here: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-88849-1-1.html
  22. I am worried... To get a Super S, get the old S. To get an Armored S, get the new S. Won't be surprised if Bandai actually pull this off...
  23. Would you please show me the link? Cuz what I can search from their site are the Super packs for F and S...
  24. In the center of the "poster", the "POINTS" are - 3-mode perfect transformation - Armor equip/unequipable - New detail design I am wondering: - whether the "new detail design" includes the neck? - whether the upcoming VF-25S DX super part fits for it if they have a "new detail design"? I guess so, but it's just a guess..
