  1. More holes? That would be a cheesy piece!
  2. You mean extra holes for the web exclusive armor parts? Doesn't it mean a different mold? And then even if it's web exclusive, I do not expect Bandai adding anything extra to it. Why not putting it in the 25S Armor part too if you have the mold already and think it would help to sell? It's not like Alto's part needs more whistles and bells to draw attention. Well, we'll know soon when the preorder begins!
  3. I doubt they would have 2 molds for Alto and Ozma.
  4. I remember seeing photos with DX on these stands. They were in battroid mode. Can't answer further...
  5. Last time I think about the build-to-order thing, I was thinking about the Yamato 1/48 Max (and Kakizaki) TV 1A. They are surely niche products. But Macross Frontier... Now I am not sure. I think it's a big hit in Japan, or just because I am a MWer. Would someone living in Japan shred some light? Does MF ever get close to Gundam 00?
  6. And not to mention that for general toys, the shops do not charge for the full recommended price. With web exclusive thing, they charge for every penny, I mean, yen. So I am charged double of what I would pay if I live in Japan. I am already in Asia; and I think most other MWers suffer even more.
  7. Was talking on another forum (TD actually) that whether Bandai will continue with "everything" in the VF100 series. It seems that it's not very well received, at least from what I see in the market. The price drops very quickly, and it is still dropping (around US$35 now).
  8. Thanks for the tip! I would certainly follow that if I am to tear the pages out. BTW, so one binder would hold 10 issues? More binders with the plastic cover...
  9. Thanks for telling. That's certainly curse-worthy.
  10. I understand that the Super Edition sucks... But the second editions are welcome as it's years after v1. Do you wish a third edition WITH VAST IMPROVEMENT in 7 years? I certainly do. Although at this point, I can't think of enough things for 1/60 v2 to improve to qualify for a v3. Just the same if Bandai is issuing a new line of 1/55 VF-1s, but not just re-issue of the chunky monkeys, I doubt anyone would complain. (YF-19 bundle.. we can buy the fold pack separately... Or is there an old YF-19 that we can't?)
  11. Cuz I have been talking to m0n5t3r (and he knows I live in Hong Kong), so I talked in HK$ wihtout knowing it... And that's the DX VF-25S super parts. Sorry for the confusion.
  12. I am sorry if this has been asked a dozen times... But I choose to be splitted on rather than going through 34 pages in the other thread. I am unsure what I should do now: should I remove the pages and file them into the Macross binder? I like the way it now looks, just like a set of nicely printed magazines. However, it is difficult to read as one article (say, the VF-1S) is scattered in multiple issues. The binder looks nice. The binder is so expensive, and it takes more than one eventually (if not already).
  13. It is so nice to be able to feedback to something we plan to buy!!! Thanks to Graham for making MWing more worthwhile. Otherwise we would be mere critters.
  14. I am so weird. Ever since I know it's small, I want it more, while the price remains the same. * Resisting on collecting M+ models... Although I have a 25th YF-19, that doesn't count! *
  15. Web exclusive means nothing to Japanese; but a big excuse to importers. YIKES! I ordered the super part for VF-25S at $450, but what else can I do (except wait)?!
  16. It's true... most of the times... But... For the 1/72 kits, the total cost is the same whether it's bundled or not. For the VF-25S, the armor pack worths... 18000-12000 = 6000 yen We'll know once the Alto armor pack price is out!
  17. Isn't it that it's web-exclusive to be curse-worthy? I think standalone packs are better than bundled sets... The VF-25S will be the only DX I am getting. For the forseeable future (and I am short-sighted). I am hoping that with the movie coming, Bandai gets an excuse to issue new VF-25's so we have a better mold. "If a man does not dream, he is not different from a salty fish."
  18. - The super parts would fit on all VF-25. Unsure about the armor pack though. - The Ghost set and the Ranka sets are 2 sets. Ghost set (Luca set): ghost plus missiles stuffs; the Fold (Michael) set is the one with the fold booster, Ranka and fold speakers.
  19. I own the M&M Q-raus and I love them. They are not good to play with, but good to be looked at IMO. Calculated the scale, and think they are around... 1/57 or so. Can't remember exactly now.
  20. O just sell it now! The 2nd hand market of these 2 is still quite strong. Probably not everyone knows that there is a v1.5 coming. And also that not everyone is planning to put the new equipments onto their DX. If I have a 25F, being able to wear the Super Parts is okay.
  21. I'll buy at least 2.
  22. My fault... always think about the Macross 1/60 series as the same line...
  23. 25mm x 60 = 150cm, so it's the right size... And I just measured the height of the maintenance crew figures of the 1/60 Defender, and they are around 2.8-3.0 cm. So it seems to be fine. Didn't measure the pilots (difficu... okay, lazy), but they look in the right scale too. Maybe except Mr. Tomahawk pilot...
  24. I don't know if this is brought up before (sorry if it did), at first fromthe price I presumed that the size of the VF-11B would be revised to match the YF birds. But I just checked the package size from the Yamato site, the dimension of the package is in fact almost the same as the VF-1 SSP packages, only 1cm thicker. So I think too much... It's simply expensive! Or technical difficult to produce/ design. Not because it's bigger.
  25. While 1/60 is the common scale across the M0, M+ and SDF lines, personally I would put together the larger models (1/48, M0, M+) together and regard them as of the same scale. I found that it feels more natural (to me) to look at the 1/60 VF-0S standing aside the 1/48 VF-1S, then the 1/60 VF-0S with 1/60 VF-1S. I would treat the SDF/DYRL 1/60 line of toys as a separate set.
