  1. No argument there. Everything is fine for the model kit until you put on the super pack. The wings get floppy and it can't stand well. Let's see how the super DX goes though; as I wonder if the heavier weight of the bigger backpack would behave the same... As a side note, super packs are not meant to be used within the atmosphere, so I suppose we cannot blame that the VFs can't stand well on mother Earth.
  2. Hmm... In fact I don't know enough about 2 out of the 3 words to make a better judgement. Sorry for being ignorant. But whatever material the model kit is made of, it is not breaking easily with normal handling.
  3. I see your points; but I don't think the 1/72 kit is fragile... except for decal chipping. A couple more metal parts for the 1/72 model (the shoulders in particular) I would actually say it's sturdy.
  4. Yeap, the desc on the left said that the Armor parts are made by some modeller. In case someone gets confused; the photo on the left is a custom-made armor part for the 1/72 kit, and the uncolor parts on the right is the prototype for the DX. The DX armor looks pretty accurate to me already. (Of course, I expect the model kit to be more so.)
  5. I agree that the short neck of 25S ticks me off. But I am looking forward to a fix for the neck; it's not just an empty hope, because on the official site they said they are looking into the problem along with the head cannons. BTW, that photo is a custom made of the Armor parts, not a sample from the model kit if I read correctly.
  6. Salute to whom has a BIG collection and has to pay for shipping. P.S. I love your reviews too!
  7. Wow. I thought I paid too much already when a local shop asked for US$64...
  8. The scale of the armor parts looks good!
  9. Good that I've decided to skip weathered versions of the 1/60 line! They are not as appealing to me as the 1/48 VF-1S too for some reason.
  10. The Super Part for VF-25S is web shop exclusive. Some online shops may carry them... Not sure... BTW, the VF-2G is released. Selling at US$173~186 in Hong Kong so far.
  11. Been told by a shop that VF-25G and RVF-25 arrived at Hong Kong. Not sure, haven't seen it, but it's about time! Edit: Received Overdrive newsletter that they would be there on March 21.
  12. It's already HK$239 (US$31) in Hong Kong. Not good, I am afraid... But it is now cheap enough to be tempting. Edit on March 20: someone bought it in Japan at 2000 yen.
  13. Shouldn't be VF-25 considerably taller?
  14. They just changed it yesterday! http://www.yamato-toys.com/after/index.html I don't know if it is a good thing or not. I spent a lot for deposits this month.... Kakizaki TV-1A, VF-25S AP, VF-25S Super Parts... And also I got several MF model kits.
  15. The Max 1S has been delayed to April.
  16. Hmm... Interesting. I am 100% certain that it wasn't there in March 12 afternoon (I checked before going to pre-order at a local shop), and kind of remember (not sure for this) that it wasn't there too in March 13 evening (think I checked again out of boring). And the order deadline is March 14... However, I must say that I bought from them a few times, their service is excellent, in terms of speed and careful handling. The price is right often. I would like to buy from them again.
  17. I've seen HK$279 (US$35. last week, so things are grim for the VF100. It doesn't mean Bandai should stop this series IMHO; but that they should justify the purchase, price- or quality-wise. It's still a good idea to have a collection of valkyries across series.
  18. Thanks again for the advices. Hmm... I should strat to read them in a way that it would tend to fall apart itself.
  19. BTW, Alto more than once awed at what Ozma can do (in terms of mobility) with that kind of heavy equipment on his VF-25S. I have pre-ordered my VF-25S AP too, at approximately US$167. That may be the start of my DX collection... When the price comes down, I may get the full squad... Who knows!
  20. My wife always asked me "you buy a new toy again?" everything she looks at my units in display (I have VERY limited display space), to the extent that I think she is bluffing me. Therefore, except once in a while I proactive confess that "Honey I've got a new toy" like once in every 5-8 toys I get, I always bluff her back that it was there weeks ago and sound annoyed.
  21. Many thanks for everyone who throw in their thoughts. I would most probably do the job when all issues are released. The articles are not complete now anyways, well-filed or otherwise. It seems to be a long way to go though. Anyone has an updated number on the total issues?
  22. That's very bad that they simply forget to include the TV hands. For Kakizaki TV 1A, they did mention the TV hands in the desc. (good! I don't have too many spare TV hands myself)
  23. It's so cool!! It happens that there was this same idea on TD yesterday!! You said you aren't good at modelling, you liar.
  24. Best news I have heard lately!
  25. Reason #1 is very appealing... But checking it again, what I am missing is mainly the M7 mechs (assuming VF-27 and VF-171 would be issued, which I am not worried). And I have no love in them anyways.
