I thought the DYRL 1S is already light gray... no?
-
I want the Millia 1A, too. I am such a M&M sucker...

Hmmm... I'll have to double-check too. But I remember it's not just a peg like the VF-1s. Otherwise I won't pull them side ways. -
I am not sure... But in the pics it didn't mention the price for 2 models... And when I preordered in a shop, the shop owner didn't ask me which version either. Safely assume the uniform is removable...

I don't quite understand your question... The head lasers are ball joints inserted into the slots of the head... In terms of basic design, I believe it has been the same since the old version. But did they adjust in minor ways such as angle alignment, etc... I have no idea because I don't have an old one for comparison. Sorry! P.S. I pulled them sideways a dozen times just to "angle-out" the lasers, if I misled you to something else before. -
I don't think they would include both heads; then hopefully it's the same Max blue so I can swap my Max 1A TV onto it.
-
True. I've seen this one...
-
On the contrary, I only know of the difference in the head (and the glove hands of course), if not counting for the super parts. The TV 1S has black arrows on the sides, and DRYL 1S has yellow ones.
-
Thanks for all the sharing. I am still struggling with the VF-11B. The fighter mode looks great, but I've seen some not-so-good ones for the battroid mode. As a B mode guy, I am waiting for more pics...

TV VF-1S! Graham, please make sure AT LEAST they come with a TV Focker pilot, if not both Focker and Hikaru. I've some spare Hikaru, but never a TV Focker. And regarding the VF-1D, I don't know what head it has, but the old 1/72 model kit said VF-1D. Maybe it's natural... if it's a 2 seater, it's a 1D.

Thanks for your reply... But my original intention was to loosen it so it won't wear out as fast. The current state is unnecessarily tight... That means unnecessary fictions in place... And unnecessary wear-offs. If I can loosen it like the 1/60 VF-1, I can lessen the case, and also I can tighten it a bit later when it naturally wears away. The problem is, I don't know how to remove the shoulder cap thing for the VF-25 (if I am not told by some MWer that I can just slip if off for the VF-1, I dared not to try too). Anyone tried that? Thanks again! -

The 25G is a looser. The groin and leg intakes are easier to fall off than the 25F. Luca's... I can't remember now; didn't pose him often as I like him in fighter mode better. -
One thing that turns me off for the 25F is that the face paint work is a mess. At least out of the 10 boxes I picked up and checked, none of them pass my QC standard. I am not a perfectionists given the current price point, but still I put them down everytime. The 25S is a different story. I see nothing wrong with it so far, and I have a strange affection for the S type. I would get a plain 25S to display its skull tatoo (in fighter/ gerwalk mode), where in super/ armored mode it would be partially hidden by the extra tail booster. After reading the video above, I've got a taste about the part-forming. It's tedious for sure, but I am not someone who transform it everyday (or even weekly). And I think my experience with building the 4 model kits would help with the engineering design... The small size also makes it perfect for office display. Although I saw a DX Vf-25G once in an office of IT support team. Yeah I may have splited and kicked the VF100, but when I want to buy it, I can come up with reasons.

I've pressed the shoulders inwards as far as I could so it would look less chunky, and I am kind of satisifed in the plain mode. The super mode... I think the problem is in the chest and legs (?). For the head cannons... They were angled in too in the box. I've pulled them sideways a dozen of times before I shot the pics; and I hope it will stay that way for a while. To m0n5t3r: there are still lots of stocks, but because it has been around just for a few days. The price has dropped to ~US$108 now here. Anyone can answer my question regarding loosening the shoulders please? -
Still waiting for the price to drop. The cheapest I've seen is HK$250 on auction. HK$26X in a shop... Come on, HK$23X and I'm in... If it turns out nice, I'll buy a whole squad of them in super mode.

Quick shots: I like the plain mode better than the super mode. The super mode is too bulky in the chest, and the legs have no curve/ shape and don't look good. The super parts attach well on the 25F, and the joints are tight. But some of them are too tight to my taste... Anyone knows how to lossen the shoulder joint, like the case for the Yamato 1/60? -
I agree to some extent; but if I have one VF100, I expect I would store the spare parts in a pile too. If I have to sort out everything nicely before transforming, now that is also tedious. The demonstration is clear in the sense that I know which parts are to be removed and put back. It's tedious in the design, not because he is not organized, etc IMHO.
-
May I ask who are the orange ones on the left and right? Also the one wedding Max is kicking... The one with a purple helmet. Who is that?
-
I take the review seriously; this really shows how... user-unfriendly the VF100 design is. This is major message of the review; I don't think this review would cause any misconception with the clear demonstration? Even though we know it's not a PTer (I wonder why people use PT for Perfect Transformation; it really confuses me the first time when I think it means Partial Transformation), it is another issue on how tedious and how "imperfect" the transformation process is. Personally I don't mind the part-forming. But it's too expensive for what it's made of, and I am waiting for the price to drop.
-
Thanks! I just wish to confirm; how tall it is in battroid mode?
-
Oh... You mean you got a not-so-hot one underneath.
-
Wow! It works! Seriously, I have to check the price first. This bird would cost double of a VF-1 bird.

Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? Buy or not buy? I'll repeat chanting this till I leave office.
