  1. That would not be wise. Most people can't afford 4 or 5 valks all at once! And it's not good to business when things get sit on the shelf and turn cold.
  2. I don't know. While I agree with your argument, I am not sure about the evidence - besides the M&M, they have already released/ announced almost everything in canon color. I think Yamato wants to sell more valks while the MF is still a hit (the movie has yet to come); and I kind of bet that they have the M7 license. Therefore they have something to keep the fire going, so to speak.
  3. I think it's already out in Japan... The time is not when it would be on the shelf, but how long it would take to drop to my target price level... P.S. VF-25S is now as cheap as US$28 (HK$218) now!
  4. I have a strong feeling that the Double Nut looks like a Max DYRL Custom. I know it's not, but the paint style is the same...
  5. Update: According to the official site, DYRL 1A is not delayed to June; scheduled on May 30 I doubt how popular this one will be though... Personally, this is my least-wanted VF thus far...
  6. A little bit off topic... For my 1/72 MF model RVF-25 Luca is in fighter mode and it will remain so.
  7. It's one of the best three if you ask me.
  8. I preordered the BoP, and kind of wondering at the NutNut... Nay, I have enough blue units already (mainly Max Customs). And I didn't buy the YF-21 because it is blue and NOT a Max. Blue is for Max (and Michael) damn it!
  9. The model has a neck component that pushes up in battroid mode to hold the head higher. Excuse me if I don't explain it well enough; but there are ways to do it and definitely not involving rocket science.
  10. It will come with the glove hands, just like the TV Max/ Kakizaki 1As.
  11. I wondered why they chose to complicate the matter in the 1/60 on day 1. The 1/48 mechanism looks clean and natural enough (essentially plug and play); and in the 1/60 pushing out the leg joint thing with "just the right amount of force" is difficult. It's very tight on some of my valks (and some of them are fine) and I risk scratching something.

    1/48 vs 1/60 v.2

And make that Roy 1S with Strike Parts. These 4 are symbolic to the Macross Universe! In MF, they should have a VF-1J or 1S on the roof of the academy. Not the 1A.
  13. I won't argue with the floppiness. Or the paint job. It was the face paint that shunned me from getting it for occasions (until I come by a cheap and relatively clean one). I don't agree that Bandai toy departments. As Graham mentioned before, it is obvious that they copied from the DX department. > Was it so damn difficult to use the Cad model of the plastic kit, scale it down and use reinforced metal hinges? I really want that to happen! But they don't even care to do that for the DX, much less the VF100. With all the negative things... I still kind of like it. I think the 25S is better in a few areas, that helps the VF100 to grow on me. Better face script, the grey color makes it look slimmer, etc.

    1/48 vs 1/60 v.2

Come on... You don't buy the Millia VF-1J for her boobs do you? I'd say it's a bargain to get it the dirt-cheap 1/48 M&M now. If I can only have ONE valk out of the pool (1/48 + 1/60v2), I'll get a 1/48 for sure. If I have to pick one line (1/48 or 1/60), that's a difficult question. The 1/48s are big and look menancing. The 1/60 come with more possibilities (Destroids, possibily enemy mechs). They both look beautiful in my eyes. The 1/60 has improvements here and there; but the 1/48 size cannot be beaten. The 1/48s are in line with the 1/60 M0, M+ and MF valks in terms of physical size. The 1/60s are in line with the 1/60s in terms of scale. If you ask me... I've got them both.
  15. You caught me again.
  16. Hmm... Come to think of it... Why would a retcon vehicle need to be transformable? Obviously I think too much.
  17. You make me feeling like I killed him...
  18. VE-1 is coming out by Sept... From Yamato offical site.

  20. Yes, I live in Hong Kong - and HLJ had it on May 21 already.
  21. It really depends on personal taste and preference, but I just want to put in my opinion. The 25G looks good in some poses and angles, but sometimes I don't like it for the loosing crouch piece, floppy armor parts, short neck (not a problem to some I know, but to me they are too short to look good), and on some units they have different shade of blues. I generally have no complaints on the 1J, it looks crispy and sweet to me. I am not too excited about the Super Parts though... The 1J is already beautiful in its plain mode. P.S. Usually you buy both at the end. So don't think too hard.
  22. An update: I've finally read from another source; the swapable part is the neck joint. I've seen extendable necks for 25S on sale on Yahoo JP auction; and Bandai doesn't care enough to do that. Just swapped parts... No I am not surprised. Yeah I know I should be thankful for the hard lasers and swapable neck.
  23. Let me try to translate: "The DX Armored Ozma Custom, scheduled this summer, ...the body... modifications... (can't read over the edge and don't understand a certain phrase ). This includes the barrels of the head laser would be in hard plastic parts, and in Battroid mode the proportion can be adjusted by swapping a part of the (??? can't read over the edge again!) joint." Darn! I think the swappable thing is crucial. If we can swap the crouch part and the leg connection joints can be lowered as in the model, along with a longer neck, straight cannons, I don't know what to complain this time.
  24. The most left-over 1/48 valks are, in order, AB, Kakizaki and LV2 in my city.
