  1. With all improvements here and there, the 1/60 v2 still can't best the 1/48 to me. IMHO, the 1/48 has the optimized size as a big toy - it looks big and cool, and further bigger would render it unwieldy. I don't have any complaints except for the chicken hands.
  2. YES! I want the bridge in 1/60!!! More than a 1/2000 SDF. I will pay US$500 for it.
  3. From what I've heard (and personally agree), the 1/48 fighter mode looks better for its longer nose cone and overall scale. But frankly, while I love the 1/48 probably more, it may be better to get the 1/60 v2 for general audience.
  4. v2 started July 19, 2008. And about which one looks the most accurate to the lineart; why don't you look at the gallery posts and decide yourself? The only thing I am sure is: everyone has his own standard and points of particular interests, thus a different answer.
  5. May I ask how big you 1-room apartment is? 1-room can still be big... What is the typical apartment size in urban areas of Japan? Thanks!
  6. Finally the release date is fixed on June 25. The 1J CF, I mean.
  7. Heh. You cannot take the MW population seriously, we are all hopeless Macross freaks. Statistics are skewed, from "how big you want the SDF toy be" to "will you sell your first-born for this valk".
  8. While a 1/2000 SDF would be cool and something to be admired with, I wonder how many people can afford to house one at home in Japan. Would someone living in Japan shred us some light? I wish they release a 1/1200 SDF, just like the 2m tall Gundam/ Zaku you see in stores. I can visit it when I feel like to, and it's too big and expensive for me to even consider buying it. And still, if you are THAT determined you still can order one.
  9. I am just speaking on behalf of a community with a small home... I would have wished for a 1/2000 if I am still living in North America (studied university there), a whole basement to be filled up. But now as a poor soul living in a crowded city (Tokyo, Hong Kong) I find a 1/2000 SDF appealing but difficult. No flames please!
  10. This is difficult. I for one think 1/2000 is too big to keep or display. On the other hand, the 1/2000 size is fking massive and impressive that it would wow anyone who sees it. But then I think many people would give up because it's too big (difficult to justify with wives or parents). I agree that 1/3000 would be nice enough and more "easy" to buy.
  11. I always like the Full Ammo Attack scene. It's like throwing flying knives and bullets and grenades and rockets at someone who is chained to a wall and cannot run. Seriously, this together with the salute scene, has become classic in my little mind. They are so ingenious. No wonder they are repeated in MF.
  12. Thanks! I was just curious on the status.
  13. The Yammies are too complicated for an 8-yr old... What about getting another VF-25 to match with your 25G and satisfy his appetite? Be ready to see it scratched and get floppy though...
  14. This is a pic of the model kit: And personally, I do think this looks the best out of the 3.
  15. Frankly speaking, I am not wowed by any of the 3 versions. But well, official pics do not do justice to the final products. Particularly, for the VF100 and the DX. The thing in the offical pics are not appealing to me (sometimes crappy) but the actual thing is a lot nicer when you know how to pose it. I suppose it is easier for the VF100 and the model kit to look more anime-accurate. VF100 is a part-former, and for the model kit the armor pieces are not removable (if the design is similar to that of the super parts) but you swap new parts to it. So they can afford to be less chunky than the DX if wanted be. Personally, I still believe the model kit would look the best among the three. It's just done by the right department! And another note: I too think the Armored valk is a bit bland. But when I checked again, the armored Messiah does have fewer markings (and thus "details") than the super Messiah. That's probably why Bandai has all those decals provided...
  16. Yea! This is something I dared not to ask, after seeing how others are excited and I don't have an idea.
  17. Without the panels and the such, it looks like an electric chair to me.
  18. From the official site, the height and the width would be the same as the current v2 boxes, but they would be thicker.
  19. Hmm... I don't have very high regards for Guld. He can't even keep his sanity in check.
  20. What do you mean by "even"? Sheryl would be the best seller!
  21. We are just talking about 3 valks, right? Get them all. Believe me (us); you'll get none, or all. Once it starts, it keeps going. They are just that good.
  22. Any news? My 1/48s are itchy for their new hands...
  23. Yes, it (still) says late July on the Tamashii web.
