I believe so... Yamato has a good tradition of separately selling the extra eqs... 1/60 Folder pack for YF-19/21... M0 Ghosts... 1/48 and 1/60 SSP... EXCEPT for 1/48 TV Super parts. I am not worried though; probably they'll sell a bundled version, but the individual package will come. I bet on my whole Macross collection on this.

Yes it did for 1 second or 2.. It was also a 1J. The color is different from the TV version IIRC... So we can expect Yamato to milk the mold again.

Given that Max and Milia's names are already on the sticker sheet for the VF-22S, I firmly believe that Yamato has the M7 license. Therefore, I would skip the VF100 VF-19 Kai... I never like it enough. And definitely not enough to get 2 versions of it. (my love for Yamato toys may make me get a Y 1/60 version though)

"The False Songstress" isn't a very good translation; I think "Fabricated" is closer to the meaning but then again not entirely correct. The kanji there, in my own comprehension, means more like "a songstress in an empty dimension", and in a sense also "a songstress conjured out of nothing". (it takes multiple meanings to be a good subtitle right?) It would then be more descriptive on the situation of Sheryl. And american idols too. Ranka is a bit different. In the show she is helped and supported, not manipulated. But don't ask me to draw the line between those!

I just double-checked the product desc for you; the VF-1D VR does come with the standard gunpod and missiles. There seems to be none for the VE-1 though.

I really can't choose. But if I can only keep one valk, I'll keep my 1/48 Focker VF-1S. Lately I am fond of my model Kit VF-25S Armored. In fact I love the whole VF-25 sqaud models. The 1/60v2 is nice, but it does't impress me as the towering 1/48. But then, they are really, really nice. It's the first time I have a whole Vermillion squad! I am in love with the 1/60 VF-0S too. It has the big size of 1/48 with the newer technology (and mine is the 2nd version with intact arms, tocuh wood). The DX 25s... Once you are in super mode, you can't pose. Still they look good in certain angles. I am a Macross freak.

Thanks for the advice. In fact that is what I plan to do (tapes bought). But I don't trust myself very well in tape-masking the embossed SMS characters. It is so difficult to me!

While basically I trust HLJ with their info, but somehow I doubt if the "modified movie version" super parts are all about color changes. And yes, damn Bandai for not painting the stands in the first run of the DXs. I plan to paint them myself, but my modelling skills (including air-brushing and painting) are horrible. I would even miss when piss, not to mention delicate model-painting.

I agree with Killer Robot that Sheryl did not undergo a personality change from an empty idol into an artist with a heart. She acted kindly to Ranka very early in the series. She just wished to encourage Ranka, who had the passion to sing, to sing. And she did love singing, and it is not just a business to her. A scene that she sang along with Ranka in the hospital reminds me that both of them enjoyed it enough to act like that. VFTF1 mentioned that "Sheryl just happened to mix up in something bigger", and I basically agree with that. So was Minmay and Ranka; they just loved to sing, and wished to touch people or encourage people with music. So was Basara. The more I read in this thread, the more I get clear about one thing: I don't really hate Basara (he is just a reckless jerk who loved singing; we have a lot of reckless jerks and singers in the Macross universe), I hate M7's story settings. The magical world of music. Humanoid that flies around freely in space (without any life-supporting eq, of course). Sucking of human spirit energy. Music expelling monsters (and the bigger the speaker the more powerful it is). It's more like a Sailor Moon style story to me. Yeah I don't know better than the producers (they can say Sailor Moon is Minmay's personal friend and declare it canon), but I can voice my opinion, right?

I preordered mine in a local shop at US$173. Don't know if it's a smart move... Depends on demand the price may shoot up or fall down substantially. But the price is right so at least I save some trouble.

Yes.. The TV pilot suit is blue-grey... But the suit design in the toy photo is still DYRL style (though in gray now).

If it's your gf in your portrait, get rid of all toys. Who neeeds them now? Seriously, I think you have a good collection there. You may be out of display space, but in terms of storage space you can pack 8 valks quite compactly. Someday you'll miss them if you sell them... And in fact I doubt if the selling price for 2nd hands would be good enough to worth the trouble these days. One question though... You said a low vis with S head?? You customized it yourself?

Yes, they mean swapable hands for the VF-25. For the Q-rea; it mentions things like swapable knees too...
