Finally there is something from the DX series that I deem better than the model kit: The reactive missiles won't fit on the armored pack - I know no one said they would, just my wish - but the missile mount is just different according to this ghost set and my 1/72 Armored 25S model. Don't feel like to shoot the fold booster set.

I've made 2 1/72 model kits (1 plain, 1 armored) and bought 1 VF100 on the VF-25S during the wait. It's been one year! At least the neck is longer.

Old crotch for the 1A The later valks don't have a tight crotch joint as my 1S and 1J... So it's actually okay to me for the old crotch.

Per set comes with one Ghost only. Yeah, Bandai is cheap. My sets would be arriving tomorrow... But I would be out of town until Monday!

Saw the VF-1J and the Max/ Kakizaki 1As previously; and I only saw one shop carrying them thus far.

Me too, I'm going to grab the VF-1S, but that's it. They are simply too expensive - and not worth the price IMHO - and on top of that, to collect the variations, you need to pay extra for the exclusive ones. Namely the Kakizaki 1A thus far.

The VF-1A CF is still on the July issue list, but there isn't a fixed date yet. No Yammies at all in July!... Oh, there was the VF-22S. But that was July 1! I hope they are improving the manufacturing and the products. New crotch from now on maybe? EDIT in the afternoon: Yay! So it is released!

They claim this to be a TV version 1S. However, the arrows on the head are in yellow, not black. That's very disappointing.

Clear or not (not sure how it would look with the inner parts of the toy design), the arcade version would be a collector's dream. Milk the mold, damn it!

The joints are loose, that's a fact. Popping off... There's one part keep popping off from the Armored 25F; that's the shoulder missile box thing. Maybe I didn't attach it right, it fell off a couple of times last night.

MHO on my experiences with all 4 VF100s: For the first 3, they are all plain valks; no super or armor parts. I found them fun to pose and nice looking enough. Esepcially the VF-25S; the 25F face paintwork is sometimes bad, and the 25G eye piece looks too dull. 25S is the best one to me. For the Armored 25F; it's a different game. Because of the design, the backpack is so heavy it can't stand on itself. Similar problems exist that it's now more a display piece than a fun toy as I experienced with the plain valks. It looks nice, it can do some nice poses with a good stand (the one that comes with the set is not good enough for battroid mode at all), but it's not something you can watch tv and play with (just like the 3 plain vf100s). P.S. It's around US$48 to buy it locally, so it's not as difficult a decision to make for me.

Look under the arm armor thing... It's a bit difficult to spot with the light color background.

Yes... I must admit that discussion of M7 always stirs up my emotion and I feel like to voice out my opinion. It's interesting perceptions can be that different for people too.

It does come with a VF-1J with the gray visor. No uncertainty there. I am pretty sure they will release the armor parts separately. Many of us would need more than one set obviously. The bundled set just helps to sell more 1J units to losers like me.

Thanks alot Graham! Hmm... I do not like the VF100 25F head script a lot, so I planned to display it in fighter/ gerwalk mode all along. But I usd to like to fiddle with the VF100 as toys. Now the armored 25F is not a play toy...? That's a tough decision now. In fact, I would buy it like a zombie when it drops to HK$320, and I believe it will in due time.
