  1. I think it says nose art version...? Gee. I'll get it for sure!
  2. Besides a tighter shoulder... It feels the same to me.
  3. Bad lighting, but I like the poses:
  4. w/ natural light; much better!
  5. Thanks everyone for watching... I hate the lighting of this batch of pics. I was so lazy to use the table lamp... and wasn't aware the problem till I went back to the computer. I don't have the original color YF-19... Only the 25th anni one. The shoulders are better (my black YF-19 sometimes can't hold up a gun too high), but overall it's the same. I do not know if it is (a) a known problem (is it?); (b) the factory worker didn't transform it properly when packing it. I have yet to investigate the problem again... My 25th anni YF-19 doesn't have this problem. Will do!
  6. It's my fault on the lighting (and maybe also JPG compression). The pictures look so yellow; in reality it is pretty white.
  7. How far would I go purely for the love of Macross...? Hmm... I plan to complete watching Macross 7. (still in episode thirty something) Time is the most precious thing a man can spare...
  8. I pulled the cannons sideways GENTLY and repeatedly. And then I have kept it in Battroid mode since then. I know there are MWers who have broken the cannons with this practice... So it's not recommended to try at all.

    Latest custom.

What a sight to behold! I know it's not very likely to happen; still I wish for both Minmay guards in either the 1/60 or the 1/48 (Macross Chronicle exclusive if you will).
  10. This time they skipped the box flip, like the 22S. The box size is the same as the old YF-19 though. Well... The contents are the same. I actually like the flip thing because I don't have to open the box to check at the shop.
  11. I like the original color much better. This Klan Klan looks like coming from a 70's porno movie with a sex-in-space setting. And darn that they'll have the whole ichiban prize set "revised"! Some of them would be merely with new colors... So far I am happy with the original colors... But who knows, I am a weak-minded fool!
  12. I have the exact thought! It's nice, but not something I would hunt or pay a hefty amount for.
  13. That is a very good price. It's about the same as I picked them up/ preordered them without paying any (really) inflated amount.
  14. I remember reading from this board that it's non-transformable... And also it's written on the box if I have not mistaken the words (because they are so small in the pic).
  15. And the metallic painting; and that it would be glued and untransformable.
  16. The VF-11B has the coolest transformation design I have seen. The small contractible armor covers here and there are something I had only seen in the 80s animes. Now they are in a toy! Sometimes I think it's an excellent design "wasted" on a less-popular valk. The VF-1 series could use some ideas of those designs! (esepcially we have no side covers in the 1/60, at least they tried in 1/48)
  17. While many toys have it, some don't... Is it because of different materials to be used, or some other firms would take a procedure to clean it? And they don't have to clean it before painting it/ applying tampos? Would that make the paint less durable? Just want to learn more about the process. Thanks!
  18. I worry about the fold hinge too to support the heavy armor backpack too. Therefore my 25S is wearing the super parts instead. I'll probably display it in fighter mode if I want it armored. (the model has the sweetest battroid mode!)
  19. The arms break easier than desired, true. The arms do not break "just sitting in a coach", according to your example which exaggerated the case. That's my point. In fact I have not heard any broken arms report from another local forum. According to your regional-QC-discrimination theory, only the Japanese stocks are suffering so that is not a problem maybe?
  20. Yes of course! Your unit would be counted as "from Japan". My previous point was that, we have a lot of reports from Hong Kong while fewer ones from other places as of yet. So it is too soon to conclude that "only the HK stocks are having the QC problem". And do I remember correctly that you too suffer from some paint chips problem?
  21. Which toy is so delicate that it would break while just sitting there? If none, that is a meaningless example.
  22. Yes, all QC issues are from Hong Kong thus far. On the other hand, how many reports (both with and without problems) we have outside Hong Kong to date? In either cases, those are still officially from Bandai. Not qc-failed ones. "Bad factory" is not a reason to consumers. I won't hold my breath too even if I order from HLJ which implies they are from Japan.
  23. I agree on (1) and (2)! Don't know enough to comment on (3). Also, it's Bandai. I mean, I've mentioned in another occasion (on TD) that if it's from CMS with the same quality and price, I would probably applaud and cheer. But we all know what Bandai is capable of, and so the expectation is different. And after multiple negative comments, I still want to express that the Armored 25S toy is nice itself, QC problems apart. I like the armor design, the fighter mode looks great, and given the inherited DX chunky body, the battroid mode looks good from some angle after some meddling.
