I am unsure how difficult to get the figure alone; but if you try to buy the whole Macross Collection Part 3 I believe it would be much easier. It was just re-issued earlier this year.

Isn't it since M0 the designs are already done (or at least verified) with CAD? I think I've heard it somewhere... And have you tried assembling a VF-25 model kit? A VF-25 is certainly feasible in 3D with good proportion.

While I voted for VF-4, I am not excited about the VF-4 battroid mode...

Just to me personally; Gamlin 22S and the YF-21 are not even close to my interests in the M&M customs. We are talking the top 2 aces at the time, if not in the whole Macross timeline. Do I get bored by another M&M custom? Absolutely not. Spam me by doing the arcade VF-1As!

Yes I understand... Just that sometimes when I think "what if" Yamato can make it... What would it look like... I hope to see it happen in 8 years.

I am surprised by the votes for the VF-19; I think there are lots of Basara supporters out there. It seems that we have a few very active Basara fans in stead. BTW, if there is an option for Yamato to make VF-25, I may vote on that one.

I always assumed that Yamato i s going to release the VF-17 (S, D, Ray's Custom), 19 (existing mold and some changes...? Also the S and F) and 11 (existing mold, C, Millia)... All of these have multiple molds they can recycle. I hope they would do that sooner or later... So I'll cast my vote for something else. It's a struggle between VF-0D and VF-4 for me... And my love for the original SDF wins. VF-4 it is! P.S. I would actually buy all of them. P.P.S. The VF-19Kai is my least interested one.

The Yamato Q-Rau is not the best toy in the world, but I love it for its size and decent look. Surely if you LOVE Max, you've got to get his Q-Rau too! Especially the price has gone this cheap lately (around US$31 around my living area). That's a no brainer. Not to mention that it would look awesome along the upcoming VF-22S - the 22S borrows a lot of design from the Q-Rau. Can't wait!!!!!

Is it the color? The battroid mode looks taller than gamlin or the yf-21 to me. I believe it is the same mold as gamlin, so it's either the color or the photoshooting.

One thing I don't like about Basara is his stage costume... It reminds me of the pilot suit of Kouji Kabuto from Mazinger. Although it's quite appropriate for someone who pilots a mech with a mouth. Don't worry... Non-Macross-lovers would not care, or just skipped the show altogether.

I mean, a main character and in a love triangle. Cuz originally I put Focker in as a protagonist of M0, but then felt unsure whether he is one. Then I noticed the patterns of the others (all involved in some affairs) and decided to define that way. I chose Basara and Sara Nome... Shin is boring, but Basara is irritating. And you only see Shin for several episodes and you get to see Basara for 49+. Basically I hate no female lead characters in Macross. So just to state the one I like the least, I would choose Sara. Never liked anyone too religious (no offense to anyone...), and she is a boring character. Myung would be the second boring one. BTW, come to think of it, I feel pretty much the same between Hikaru and Alto - they are not really boring, but kind of bland when compared to people around them. Focker/ Ozma, Max/ Michael, etc. The girls around them also overshadow them in some way... Edit: Wow. I didn't know Mylene is so hated. May I ask what in particular people hate her?

My definition of protagonist is that they have to be caught in some love triangle. As simple as that. I didn't watch M II so please correct me if I listed the wrong characters here!

I agree for both. Max is obviously above everyone by a good margin (except Millia). And also that Gamlin deserves a seat in the candidate list. He is a protagonist too after all. And he is considered an ace in his time.

I like such discusssions because someone can frame the idea very nicely! That's also something I have felt but never formulated into words. Yes, SDF take the songs as, songs. They heard the music and felt it's a little bit funny the feeling inside. It's culture. In MF, the Vajras are bugs and they just heard something happened they thought they understood (mating call) and responded. It's an instinct thing. But they really don't have a complicated culture thing, because they can communicate SO effectively already. A culture is an aggregated behavior of a social community I would say; but the Vajras have the best communication among each other that they are one. They don't need to aggregate anything. In M7, they try to explain why music can do this and that and things get worsened. You get a lot of explanation on song energy, the song energy becomes AT field, you see the song enery shoots around. The flying elves don't help either. The proto-monsters are too Mazinger-styled to fit into Macross IMHO. I can't agree more it would be easier for me if they just keep at "passionate songs" and "culture", and of course please no song shields and song beams.
