  1. I quite agree with you. The gray is darker than it looks on the photos...
  2. I'll try later... An exam coming this weekend (yet I spent last night taking pics which makes it worse)... Sorry. Hope you get yours soon!
  3. I shot my guess in another thread... But the left hand told me that it's a DX. VF100 doesn't carry an open hand like that (but the DX does). The hip definitely is not that of a 1/72 model kit.
  4. I am pretty sure that it is a DX because the fixed left hand is that of the DX style. The VF100 doesn't have a hand like that. Now I am pretty curious how big the VF-19 is...
  5. If anyone is interested... The VF-1S LV is released. I'll pick up mine tonight!! I'm always a big fan of Focker!
  6. PLEASE, this is just personal opinion. No flames please. Or if you really want to, do it in a funny way. It's dangerous to say something negative on the winner. The VF-2SS battoid looks like a Chinese or Korean bootleg toy to me. It looks so much alike to a VF-1, but the design is meddled here and there (in an inferior way) to make it look different yet similar. On the other hand, while I voted for VF-4... When I look at the battroid mode, my thought was "what are they thinking?!" I like the VF-4 fighter mode a lot though.
  7. Me too. That would be stressing and scratching the parts with no reason.
  8. I never worry about the VF-17 and VF-19... How is it possbile that they would skip them? They both allow mold milking, and they are the "main" hero mechs for M7. Unless Yamato is only dribbling on M7 (stops at the 22S and the 11C), otherwise they are doing it for sure...
  9. The armor will heighten Alto by a large margin... So it would be more accurate to compare the "naked" figure.
  10. It depends on how you look at it... I only see a couple of dozen of active users around. And 200 votes! Wow! P.S. I've just pulled a few votes from TD (that HK toy forum). They registered some time ago but just not very active.
  11. But from M3 it says the battroid height is only 15.XX metres: http://www.new-un-spacy.com/macross7/vf-19custom.htm So 1/100 is around 15 cm.
  12. Exactly. It's a hero mech too in this sense. P.S. I need the rod/ club thing as an accessory.
  13. I am not as optimistic... From what Graham said last time, it seems that they don't have a plan for the Spartan because it does not really share much with the mold of the other Destroids. I hate to see things incomplete. I hate to see a Destroid missing out of the four! And a melee mech is fun.
  14. BTW, Millia is scheduled in Nov and Max in Dec. I doubt things will stick to the schedule though... On the list before Dec, Yamato owes us the VF-1S LV, VE-1, VF-1D VR, M&M VF-1J, GBP VF-1J, 1/48 Kakizaki TV 1A... Can they really deliver a Millia 22S in Nov?
  15. You're correct... That's not reasonable for that armored fighter to fly around in non-vacuum. Still I stand by my argument on the VF-25 design that's it's feasible without concerns for real technologies involved. We all know those kinds of alloy and fusion reactor do not exist... But can heads and arms and legs of those size can fold and transform into a fighter? Yes. Why does the DX toy look so weird in the proportions? I don't know.
  16. Damn it, I am actually interested!
  17. I was just thinking if this is not about VF, but only Macross goods, I would vote for a Spartan.
  18. That's surely an extreme case with a 1mm tether. I'd rather go into the practical example that the model transforms well and all (forget the decal rubbing! it's not the point in this discussion). It doesn't collapse. A problem is that it cannot stand on itself in armored battroid mode - but we know that in the anime the super or armored parts have to be ejected under atmosphere/ gravity, so the design is actually reasonable and well thought.
  19. Let's not discuss how durable the model kit is; we are just talking about the feasibility of the design. What makes you think a design is not well thought if it can be done in a model kit (which proves it actually works)? Why the 1/60 toy looks far inferior in terms of proportion? It was discussed here before some time ago. Some said lousy work and half-assed effort, some said it's outsourced to a Chinese inexperienced team. Some said it's to abide by some safety rules and sacrifice for durability. Take your pick. My point was though, if the transformation works in the model, the idea is proven. Whether the idea is executed well on another product is a second story.
  20. I am just curious; the size is comparable to the Yamato 1/60 VF-1 you mean? Cuz I think the size of a VF-19 is around the size of a VF-25; and I thought VF100 means 1/100 (and it's approximately so for the VF100 VF-25s). If the size is close to a 1/60 VF-1, then it's a decent deal. Thanks anime52k8 for clarifying my comment to lechuck.
  21. 7000+ yen for a VF100? That's even more than the price of the Armored VF-25F (and it is armored), and close to that of the 1/72 VF-25 Armored model kit. I'll rather wait for a Yamato release. If it doesn't come, I can live with it. Never really like the Mouth Valk.
