Thanks for the advice. I just leave them a message that I wish to cancel my order. My order is still "preparation in progress". I think some of MWers have their status changed to "Shipped", but still not received a tracking number or something. Am I safe to grab a unit from other sources now? Or I should wait for their cancel confirmation?

Me too. I have also upgraded to FedEx... And I have seen it in local brick and mortar shops at a cheaper price... That adds to my misery. *scream and smash*

I am surprised about what happened in Hobbyfan. Given the current price and availability in Yahoo JP, I can't see how scarce these RVF are. My NY order is still under preparation...

I checked my previous NY orders, and it is not uncommon for them to take 3 days to change from Preparation in Progress to Shipped.

Me too. Thus I deem it worthwhile to pay for the extra, at least with a method with tracking. Peace of mind is expensive.

I wonder people would rather have a gray Recon valk with John Doe as the pilot, or a customized light green painted valk piloted by a genius teenager with pink cheeks.

I've heard so many cancelling/ abandoning preorders for the Luca valk. He just inherits the place of Kakizaki very well, doesn't he?

Nope, should be the Spartan and Phalanx combo package.

There are some problems with the search engine with Otacute to look up the Macross DXs. I am a bit concerned whether they can carry through. I do not blame them if they can't fill my order, but I am wondering.

What percentage of your Bandai Valks are scratched?
ff95gj replied to Lupin The Third's topic in Toys
Agree! I hate the loosen joints much worse. How tight the joints are is random out of the box. I have a YF-29 whose crotch couldn't lock well at all so it would collapse in B mode. Another YF-29 is just fine. I like how the DX looks, but I am too scared to pose them. The joints would get loosen further. -
Just my personal opinion... It's the worst paint job I've seen on a valk. I am happy to know that Arcadia is going to continue the Macross line (to some degrees at least). I would still buy this 30th Anni Valk as a sign of support of the Yamato Macross heritage, but certain not for the design. SPARTAN! PHALANX!!!

Yes, preorder will start on 14 June!

Honestly I do not like the Arcadia 30th 1J. It is ugly and expensive. How difficult it is to secure the license to make the Minmay Guards? And the Thunder Hammer (ok, this requires new mold) And also I want an Alaska Base 1A...

I was chatting with a small shop owner last week. He mainly sells Kamen Rider products. If anyone has been following the SHF line, the Rider X was released last week. To me, it is quite a popular character as it was from the first generation. However, the price dropped almost right away upon its release, and not because of its quality. According to the shop owner, owing to the bad Japan economy, they ship out most of the stock to overseas. The ample supply drives down the price -- and he expects it to go even lower. I suspect it is a similar case with the VF-171 canon fodder. While I am happy to get my toys cheap, this is not a healthy sign in the long run. The Japan market is half dead if this is true. Bad sales lead to lower R&D budgets. We may not see many side-kick characters along the toy lines. Spartan! Phalanx!

Apology on behalf of my friend. He didn't think this prank would go international.

I believe it is a mistyped price copied from the 16590 yen of the Arcadia 1/60 30th VF-1J. That post is from another friend playing along.
-
Sorry to spoil your fun, but the original modeller thinks he needs to clarify: it is custom made by a buddy (my friend!!!!) in Toysdaily. I hope Arcadia sees this post and notices how we hunger for a Minmay Guard. Or two.

Sad to hear that. Reliable and good price. Otacute, you'll be missed!

Where is my Spartan?
