Revy Batman is a candidate? Are they serious?
-
Darn! It means that they are only considering the VF-17, not the Phalanx! I need the Phalanx, while VF-17 is nice to have. I would be happy to know I am wrong.
-
I thought hard about it, but decided I might regret if I sell it. Sorry man. I've planned, in years to come, when finally Yamato gets a license to make MF valks, I would display the DX in fighter mode and the Yammies in Battroid mode.
-
I don't like it enough, but I do have one.

Favorite VF pilot? (not necessarily the best)

Blah. He is not even a real man. -
I've heard the same thing on the first day of release, from the shop-owner from whom I bought 90% of my Yammies. There weren't many stocks around to last; there were only 40 or so left in the warehouse for Hong Kong on day 1 (I believe he got at least a dozen thereafter). I don't know about the Japan side.

It's not a problem for me either... But I suspect some people may want the cannon for an uncanon Super Strike VF-1A. Or VF-1J.
-
*sigh* The Phalanx was meant to release in autumn 2010. I NEED THE PHALANX AND THE SPARTAN, DAMN IT! I'll get the alt color too.

I totally agree. That's why while I like Ozma, I don't even consider casting my vote for him. He is meant to be a Roy-clone, and a good one he is. On the other hand, while Michael and Klan are counterparts of Max and Millia, this couple have developed differently enough to be on their own. -

Damn. I am torn between Roy and Max. Roy is the definition of a man. A senpai. A Skull leader. Max is a genius who doesn't get old and married an alien chick (and managed to get rid of her too). He is that kind of feminie-designed character who doesn't look sissy. Maybe I should vote for Sheryl. I would not buy as many figures for Roy and Max as for Sheryl. -
And Max turns out to be a Newtype... or Prototype.

They just announced the VF-1 DYRL Super Parts for preorder in Tamashii shop. And yes, it's only Super Parts, not Super and Strike Parts.

I am a freak and a sinner. I don't like the DX VF-27 enough, and this time, neither the Hi-Metal series. The Hi-Metal series is okay, but can't say I am impressed. My VF-19 Kai gets floppy quickly after a few transformation, but I'm told I'm the only one with the problem. I'll continue to buy though. So sales figure doesn't mean anything!
-
You've read my mind.
-
Do you mean the 1J or 1S? The feet of my 1J is okay, but the 1S got footloose during transformation. And I am a gentle guy, mind you.
-
The 1/60 is more accurate at least in the Skull logo position.
-
As far as I can tell... Besides the base stand, there is nothing I can remove/detach.
-
That's my post. I didn't get the Misa space suit...

It looks much better than the official pictures! Though the Megahouse/1kuji products are superior IMHO. The price is surely different though.

A short reproduction of episode 12 too on Toysdaily: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-144538-1-1.html

Keep on buying everyone!
-
HK$860... Will take some pics tonight or tomorrow. P.S. I even bought one extra Max 1A to wear it. That 1A was at discount though.
-
I've got it too yesterday... Bloody expensive.

My view about how we get used to paying more and more for toys: The first reason, being apparent, is the high Yen. The second one, is that toy companies manufacture more and more limited products these days. This becomes a common practice that whenever something is not a hot-cake product, it will go to the limited sales channel. We foreigners have to pay extra to get those. Most of us have fallen to some limited goods we would have died for. The third reason, IMHO, is small companies producing niche products. The product runs are small, so they have to sell at a higher price to justify the cost. Yamato falls in this category I believe, so is CMS and WAVE, etc. Some of the items are so niched that you won't see it in another product line in another 20 years, if ever. So people would curse and then bite the bullet. So for us toy collectors, we have got used to paying more than before to get the same quality of products. It was difficult for me to justify buying an inflated price SHF in early 2010; these days I don't even blink. Also on the contrary, I find those non-inflated-priced, mass-produced goods cheap to buy. The fourth: big companies are not stupid. They know you've lowered your expectation after you have bought several high-priced, lower quality product (CMS comes into mind, and the bad QC of certain Yamato valks too). They know it when you would accept some medicore work and pay a hefty price and they still can get away. This forms a feedback loop that next time a lame product is released, it is more or less on par with such products. The cycle continues. P.S. At least I think the Yamato works are nice and worth my support.
