Just remind me of that I lately read about 2 complaints on their Soul of Chogokin series. Broken leg out of the box for one (God Mars), and the other one has right-hand components on both arms (GX-59). Personally I had several SICs which had broken joints out of the box (notorious on 555, Blade, Ryuki and Hibiki series). They are nowhere like CMS, but not good enough to be proud of.

Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie (v2.0)

Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie (v2.0)
ff95gj replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Hmm... Both. I like the original YF-19 over the VF-19, and the not-as-accurate proportion (slimmer) of the toy makes it look better to my taste too. I believe the VF-19F and VF-19S will change my view. Or even when I lay my hands on the VF-19 Kai. -
Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie (v2.0)

With all reports of quality improvement and new-generation engineering in the VF-19, I still like the look of YF-19 better. Even though it is floppy and things don't lock together, I really like its look. Sorry if I sound like a jerk in a VF-19 thread. Maybe I will change my religion when I get mine. -

The owner also said that his photos can't do the real thing justice in terms of the color and the proportion. He is also impressed by the transformation mechanism. -

I hope the VF-17 gets the same love from Yamato. -
I won't argue about a VF-19 versus a Destroid (though I certain would choose the latter without blinking eyes). But isn't it a risky investment to produce the Sound Booster? My thinking was that if the Sound Booster is an acceptable risk, the Destroids are more doable. I believe.
-
I am sorry to raise this question again and again; yet when I see that Yamato goes to the length to make the huge and expensive Sound Booster for VF-19, I was wondering if this is Macross love misplaced. I appreciate for Yamato to make the things fans dream of, and I plan to get the Sound Booster too myself. But given how reluctant Yamato was whenever they are to make new molds, I was thinking which would sell better, a Destroid or a Sound Booster, given that they have the same price range? Isn't that it is a greater risk to make the SB than a Phalanx? Bottom-line: please give me the Phalanx and the Spartan!

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force

I thought it was top secret so we are not allowed to discuss it. We might have known already too much. I watch over my shoulders from time to time these few days. -
Strike A Pose! V.4 - The Macross Mech Pose Thread

Nice! -
Well said. This time I am buying for a Yamato toy, not a valk. Too I like the YF-19 design better. But I believe VF-19Kai would be a better toy hands down.

I am happy to know that VF-17D, VF-17S and VF-17S (M) are on the way. Personally, I do not care much for the VF-19Kai. -
As this is a "Market Research" post, I want to take this opportunity to yell for - PHALANX (you owe me this one Yamato) - SPARTAN (ditto to a lesser extent) - SDF TV version (I believe the SDF DYRL has been doing well) - Niche item I believe, but I don't mind an 1/60 DYRL cannon fodder VF-1A - VF-1S Minmay Guards (both) (One can always hope) - Reactive Armor (I don't mind to get an extra VF-0S if they decide to make it a combo... Bandai did this for VF-25S Armored) And I believe if they make GNU Regult and Glaug, they would sell okay.

Basically the same thing as the VF-1S... Haven't had chance to take shots for them yet...

Strike A Pose! V.4 - The Macross Mech Pose Thread
ff95gj replied to JCSaves's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Great poses! That doesn't mean the things don't get floppy after a while though. Your poses do hide many of the shortcomings successfully, bad hip placement, limited articulation and chunkiness. P.S. I don't regard myself a Bandai hater because I buy a dozen of their toys every month in the past year. I love most of them. -
Argh. That's why! I remembered vaguely it should be there for a few months when I frequent the shop I got the other 2 Regults. I hope the Glaug will get released. PLEASE.
-
I've already got mine! No need to wait till 5/5.
-
Darn! I am fallen too. I'll get one.

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
ff95gj replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That's my feeling. Small waist and the clean design. I am not talking about sex organs on a machine... Just the tone of the design. Well, I still believe that Kawamori didn't call it Valkyries for no reason. P.S. Bruce Lee practiced the Kung Fu (Wing Chun) that was practically suitable for women. -

Hmm.. Strange. I happen to think that the VF-1 design has a feminine tone. I even thought that was obvious. Not feminine as the Sailor Moon Gundam, but feminine in the sense of modern military. Slim, nimble, versatile. Can't say the same for YF-19 and YF-21 though. -

As the name indicates, valks are female. And I too agree that the VF-25 series look quite insect-like. Personally I like the valks slim. As 1/1 LowViz Lurker said, valks are supposed to be nimble, quick and high-maneuver mechas. If there's a need for durability and firepower, that's why there is the armored mode. The more I look at the slim design of the VF-25, the more I like it. -

In advance: I haven't watched the Wings of Goodbye and avoided any spoils as much as possible. I just notice that the YF-29 is marked "Alto Custom". Does that mean... -
They are not bootlegs (I believe)... The shop I usually get my Yammies carry this one, from the same distributor as other Yammies. The chance that the same distributor carries both official products and bootlegs is non-existent. So no worries, place the order! I've ordered from them a couple of times. So far no complaints.
-
I am utterly confused. From CyberGundam's blog, he wrote that the package only includes the parts. But in one of his images, it says "The kit consists of the entire SDF-1 and bonus resin parts". I've asked one of the shops, and the shopowner said that the distributor said "parts only". I've asked one of the web shops, and they replied "please refer to the images of our site". And they have that "The kit consists of the entire SDF-1 and bonus resin parts" image in the product profile. Graham, would you please confirm?

That's bad. I appreciate that they helped with the replacement of my valk parts. That was really nice.
