I might've ended up with 2 from HLJ. Didn't get an email confirmation on first order and panicked. Then placed second one and made sure I'd gone through everything correctly. Still no email so I'm no longer worried.

HLJ is gone? That's a really good sign. Maybe this time they've got real numbers to work with. Very promising.

Very nice! I love my iwata. Totally agree about ease of cleaning. Great results from a very well made tool.

Chyll, that seam comes from the spring action of the landing gear, I believe. The toys have that as well and to the best of my knowledge, no glue is used here on "the real thing" right out of the box. Good luck completely getting rid of it as I believe it's a design feature.To test this, fold up the front gear and the seam should lesson or disappear.

I think the reason for that gap has something to do with the hinge that the nose folds over on. I think there's a little bit of play from side to side. It's possible that attempting to shift it to one side or the other will close this gap.

Yeah, not looking forward to PO madness. I missed out on a 25F and a 25S from HLJ, even though I "successfully" added them to my cart. Me thinks I should look at ordering from another store this time.

Definitely "cool" paint, vallejo. The promodeller wash is also about as "cool" as you can get. I think its clay based, if I'm not mistaken and is mixed with water to apply it. I know of nothing that you'd hurt by applying it.
