For what it is, I'm loving how it looks so far. Can't wait for it to be released. Also, does it look like it's been revised since that prototype was shown months ago?

Have a look at the middle of the "back" of the fighter and the number of antenna/lasers shown. That's the biggest difference. The other standout is the VF-31E, which has a blunt end bit between the engines/feet, where all the rest have a point. That part is the "weapon canister" that the YF-30 introduced. On the VF-31E, it folds out (we think) into the rotating dish the electronic warfare versions of Valks sport.

Macross Δ (Delta) - NYE Special Talkback - READ 1st POST
mickyg replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Nice! I had seen that before but completely forgot about it. It's quite prominent, too. I also like how the thing that we're all assuming is some sort of gunpod, actually aims the right direction when the "multi purpose pod" is stowed in fighter mode. It's a much more streamlined representation of that which we're all so familiar with in all Macross Valks. -
She's hilarious! Any quick and dirty summaries of what is said here?

From the White Reminiscences writings, I believe it was a research outpost, intent on working out how to make mars liveable.

Glad I was able to help direct your attention in the right direction. And no, I knew you were being friendly. It's great to see folks support these endeavours the way they do here. I know I've got far too many projects on the go and many would never make it to completion if it weren't for the friendly reminders of like minded individuals here.

Ah yes, that would be an issue when trying to depict the whole thing like you are. I completely forgot about it being only the part that sticks out of the nose.

This is quite incredible! Claude Grant, you do know he's updating the first post, right? I didn't catch that until I saw this and looked at the original post: GW, it might just be me, but I prefer seeing build/progress threads actually get pics posted within the thread. I completely forget to look at the first post if it's a thread I'm already following (and I definitely am following this one!). Keep up the great work!

So Yeti, I may have missed it, but does this mean you've got the laser cutter now?

Which also looks an awful lot like the RA for the Zero, definitely. Love the lineage in those designs.

From the main Delta discussion, regarding how (and perhaps why) the VF-31A makes an appearance in Delta at all:

Macross Δ (Delta) Mecha/Technology Thread - READ 1st POST
mickyg replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
That, or going back to Macross 30 and the toys themselves, perhaps Bandai and the Game concept overall only used the YF-30 on the proviso that Delta would use enough of the design to make a toy a viable investment. I know the YF and the VF (A type) still have their differences, but perhaps there's enough there that a complete retooling of the molds wasn't necessary? Wish I knew more about the decision making that goes into merchandising and story development. I find it all fascinating. EDIT: Probably a discussion best put into the VF-31 thread... -
That master model stuff is awesome! I think I bought one of their items for the GAU-8 in an A-10 that I still plan to build at some point. Even in 1/72 scale, it's a work of art!

Loving it Yeti! Very nice evolution on the original!

And what an achievement this will all be once you finish it! Love the progress so far. And great tips about the dremel - been there, done that a few times!

Yep, gonna agree with Spanner here, don't like the Tornado parts at all. But those photos look awesome! And since I own the parts for the 25G, I'm actually tempted to take them out of their box and mess with them now. Mission accomplished, Saburo! -
It does, thanks Noel!

I know this has been covered before but it was WAAAAaaaaay back when the Yamato one was out - Are there any differences between this one and the FB 2012 variant other than paint scheme? I think this variant had a gunpod in the game, but are there differences in the head sculpt or anything else?

Macross Δ (Delta) Mecha/Technology Thread - READ 1st POST

Very cool news with the A type. Also, with that bottom view, it's obvious there are doors under the nose for what looks like landing gear. But none in the legs where you'd expect them for main landing gear. However, there appears to be something door shaped in the wing root area. Possible the gear store in the wings? -
Very nice work lolicon! Nice to see the bandai old frontier kits didn't totally ruin your creativity. Keep em coming!

That is incredible, Xigfrid! Looks very good with the '19.

Awesome! This definitely needed its own thread. Glad to see you starting it here on its own. This will be very impressive! So you're scratch building the Valkyrie?
