That shot seems to make the difference in canopies fairly obvious. I can't say I'd noticed that before.

Unbelievable! Absolutely amazing work, my friend. Truly an inspirational build! If they could cast something and mass produce a kit like this, you'd be a very popular man.

Good point, Duymon. I enjoyed my experience putting it together and actually liked the whole process of painting and decalling too. Just didn't like the way it held together in the end. If they've fixed some of those issues, I may very well bite.

Bring it!

I have to say I've been jaded by many projects that I read about that start well in the ideas/planning stages but then fizzle when it comes to implementation. I can't tell you how great it is to see that not happening in this case! Lovely build so far and a huge undertaking, to say the least. Very nice job so far! Back to that jaded, comment, this community has consistently not let me down on that one - I think we get more "hey guys, check out what I'm working on" to finished product threads than most I frequent. We've got some true visionaries here.

...Or Romanian? Seriously though, interesting that they threw that bit in there. Certainly makes you think there's some influence there. -
Thanks! Hadn't seen any offering free shipping before. Unfortunately, it's still too much as in aud, it works out to be $65 to my door. Since the 3 of us are all here on this side of the world, I didn't think to specify. Mintox, sorry to derail! Love seeing the build progress from a "local" fan. and also wanted to highlight the fact this is a somewhat expensive kit that you're doing a fantastic job building.

It looks great! I'm still on the lookout for one of these and can't believe the premium they're commanding on the second-hand market. There's nowhere I can get one for less than 60 or so and I just can't stomach that price.

I like the beefiness of the arms in this version. Very nice!

Even the presentation image on the screen displays a seriously low care factor.

Am I understanding this correctly? The Aerial Knights are operating from Windermere? And there's this Fold barrier thing happening? What exactly does a Fold barrier prevent then? I thought it would prohibit craft coming in and out. Is it not Windermere that has been shown as their base? Slightly confused....- 273 replies

I seem to recall that the forearm "tubes" are borrowed from the Armored pack for the VF-25 and as I recall, serve the same purpose: Chaff or flare dispensers. Where that came from, I can't recall and it may very well be totally incorrect.

I'd love to know how you go with the fit of the boosters on the RVF - specifically the backpack part. The DX toy actually uses a modified part here, as the spine on the RVF has the third leg of the radome mount here. It may foul on the backpack but should be easy to sort out with a file.

Sure is! You can just make it out in the pictures at the bottom of the box image.

Glorious! Makes me wish I could add half the details you're putting on it to my little Cosmo Fleet SDF-1. Maybe I'll try in the future. The shape and colour look amazing!

I use these for the quilted pattern on the sides of the cockpit of most aircraft - this is a great idea for other areas that I'm not sure I'd have thought of! Nice work!

Seto, if the HM-R line included a VF-11, I'd vote HM-R without hesitation. But like the others have said, it's a gamble. Also like Lorinder said, a VF-11 of any sort, is stupid expensive. If you want 1/60 size, you'd need to wait till Arcadia reissues the VF-11 toys that they may (or may not) have acquired from Yamato. Again, a gamble. That or hope someone with a spare VF-11 here on the boards realises the huge contribution you've made to this community and makes you a smashing deal. If I had one, I'd be tempted to do just that. Love your work!

Doh! I didn't look closely enough at the price - that would have been a dead giveaway. Thanks for clearing that up. -

Looks excellent! Request (and this can be a quick and simple shot - from anyone): Can a front on pic of the fighter mode, all strike'd up be shown? One thing I've always been slightly annoyed by with the 1/60 Yammy/Arcadia offerings is the slightly lopsided super/strike mounting method. It has to do with the way the parts rest against the folded tailfins. I think the Bandai HM-R toys don't have this problem but wanted to see it front on, to be sure. -

Are those VF-1 variants in the first two pics? -
My thoughts exactly. I was looking for any/all signs of an unfinished prototype and aside from some less than smooth paint apps on a few places, the 262 looks ready to start shipping to me. Very odd that the 31 is actually the one that doesn't appear to be ready yet.

Any thoughts on the team's discussion about var, and specifically what they said about how they didn't think every outbreak was caused by Heinz's song? I thought that was interesting and a bit of a puzzler. Enjoying the various threads running in the series so far. The history, the way cultures have been changed, and the character relationships are all a very nice way to weave the story at this early stage. I like it!- 273 replies

That is very cool! I wanted it to have working internal compressor parts and wasn't sure if it did or not, based on the video alone.
