  1. Oh ok, I thought they were the non-transformable ones from before. So the only advantages to these toys are that they're "cheap," "legal," and new?
  2. What took them so long? I got Hikaru's DYRL Revoltech Valkyrie at a convention for $19.99 like a year or two ago. HG might be a bit too late to capitalize on even those who didn't want to go against their legal right to buy stuff. And who actually follows that logic these days? This isn't the 80s, 90s, or early 00s, since everything is fair game online if you know where to look for stuff at affordable prices without some business bullying you otherwise.
  3. Was it just me, or was The movie was good. I especially liked Tony's suicidal and alcoholic moments of suck for some reason.
  4. Hmm, it's been a long time since I've seen Alf. He definitely needs to come back.
  5. a.k.a. They are still acting as the middleman for other, successful products rather than maintaining their own franchise which they claim to own.
  6. I see they have also sent their posse to the site too to prove something very obscure. Hopefully, they do not set their focus on the site as the next topic for their shows. There's also Grace's version of Aimo and Do You Remember Love.
  7. I think it's because she had more screen time than the actual robots in Transformers. That's not the franchise was all about, even in G1.
  8. Wow, I actually got farther in Google Pac-Man than I ever did with regular Pac-Man. It must have been the hiding places in the G and E. Happy birthday! Edit: There are 5 power pellets.
  9. Just preempting for everything that's going to be coming out of the RobotechEspanol and affiliated/synergistic podcasts from now on for everyone.
  10. I would like to congratulate Juan, Memo, and everyone else in their Robotech cartel for officially taking Chris Meadow's place as the primer free publicity machine for Harmony Gold on the Internet. And no, that's not a compliment.
  11. Guess that's one of the reasons why they never maintained partnerships with a single animation company to seriously keep this franchise going. Of course, there's Tatsunoko, but they get residual payments from HG for maintaining it and do nothing else.
  12. I can understand. Most of the time Spike looked like he never had a love life and had more fun with Bumblebee. You know, back when they were treated like equals rather than a car-master relationship.
  13. I want to say it's something feral, but when we actually see what the heck is Super 8, it will be a cute furry alien thing. Something powerful yet sympathetic, unlike Stitch from Lelo & Stitch.
  14. Yeah, she's only another useless human in a movie that's supposed to focus to the giant robots kicking the crap out of each other. This just makes her collateral damage for the main attraction. ...We might get Carly in the next movie.
  15. It needs more Protoculture this and Robotechnology that, not actual human drama.
  16. Megan Fox, fired. http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=500755&gt1=28101 '> http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=500755&gt1=28101
  17. Wasn't this back when HG thought they had the rights to everything Macross? Also, and I might be missing the point of a conceptual drawing, what's so important about that bay, to focus on how big and menacing the entire thing could be? From combining the various pictures we could predict that one of the the big ships they were eluding to was another Macross-class one, like in II, but more sophisticated. Everything, not just the fighters, could have been placeholders from Macross to demonstrate something no one has a clear concept on. Oh, and how the fighters were being deployed for flight in space, the pic in chrisk's post, is similar to how they did it in DYRL.
  18. Actually, the FAST packs on the ships do look like Macross II inspired. Pictures of the robot forklifts are also in the site, as well as a robot that may have inspired Janice in Shadow Chronicles before she became fan service bait.
  19. That's reasonable. How about Tommy Yune's input in that piece?
  20. That was not my point. Contrary to what people know, especially from what's been said in official material like the Robotech Artbooks, people actually liked it and the guy who "made" it had some pride from his work. That is, unless the "That's the way it always is," was meant to be more condescending about the audience at the time. What's disturbing is that stories of questionable accuracy about Carl Macek's career like these have probably been circulating to various mainstream outlets putting a positive spin on his life and not in anime centric ones. Worse is that the same old crew from HG and other close associates may be hamming it up a bit much from reality.
  21. I need a fact check on this, especially the quoted part. The 'Robotech' master And here I thought an audience in Texas thought differently. So much so that certain people disowned it. I swear, it almost sounds like a whole industry conspiracy.
  22. This is an attention-whore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvHvC8GhndY&feature=channel '> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvHvC8GhndY&feature=channel doug's just a loser. Where's Tommy and co. to vindicate him these days? Has the 25th anniversary lost its relevance?
  23. I hope there's a bonus for having a Portable Ops save in your memory card.
  24. I understand the premise, but I just want a concrete answer what the heck The Prize is. Knowledge, mortality, reproduction, whatever.
  25. Don't dwell too much on whatever he says or does. It's all a continuation of the embarrassing job doug gave himself for Robotech for the last 4 years or so.
