Tire? Is that you?

When I hear Anne Hathaway being Selina Kyle, I strangely think back to the Batman: The Animated Series version of the character. I really don't know why. Also, it might be interesting because, from what I know, she had no connections with the mob or any secret organizations in the verse. She's just a thief who works independently. Bane, however, could be connected to the mob as a hitman to take out Batman, like in TAS. Also, he might give Batman the beating of his life before the end of the movie as part of Batman's redemption and calling to keep going with his duty.

It's an incomplete movie/story left hanging like the original too.

Like other fan works before it, I think HG can still shut this down if they want to a couple of months down the line if something about it doesn't appeal to them or their legal team.
-
Yup, I felt The Fountain vibe from the trailer. I don't know, ads for that movie fooled me. Is it going to be a very long music video then?

Sam Raimi Is Using "Earth Defense Force" In An Upcoming Movie Also, the comments from users from this page suggest the phrase "Earth Defense Force" seems pretty common in other works to the point of almost being generic. Do you know how easy it is to speculate that any movie/game/story/work that has a a small detail that can be related to Robotech really is a Robotech production when it really isn't?
-
Man, the wait for February 19-20, the beginning of the yearly Macross gravy train, for a whole new year of real Robotech news is just depressing. This is especially true when gossip is the only news around.
-
Hmm, I figured that out as early as 2008 when I first came here and everything that was supposed to come along from HG came to a screeching halt. Well, at least the stuff that people really cared for like animation and a continuing story stopped, but merchandising was still going on, hit or miss. Also, all that talk from Tommy should be reserved for those who actually work in the industry/industries they say they work in. Until that new, vague Robotech production is revealed, he there hasn't been proof that he's worked on animation since Shadow Chronicles, which was like 2006 or something.

Inception was nominated for a Golden Globe. Fortunately/unfortunately, I only found out through this site. http://celebs.icanhascheezburger.com/celebrity-pictures-futurama-golden-globe-nominees/ '> http://celebs.icanhascheezburger.com/celebrity-pictures-futurama-golden-globe-nominees/

Hmm, funny jokes aside, did some of these movies deserve to be nominated for Golden Globes out of all the those released this year? “Futurama” Reviews Golden Globe-Nominated Films Seriously, Alice in Wonderland, Red, and Social Network?

Wow, what an emblem. No seriously, what an emblem, because it's probably the most expensive part of the wallet and what people are really paying for. You can buy other adult designer wallets and still keep your dignity with prices like that. I know merchandising like this is common, but Shadow Chronicles definitely doesn't deserve it, especially when it literally went nowhere x years afterward (whenever it came out and still mattered).

I can only think of two good things that happened this year: -The Hills finally ended -We got back Futurama Man, what a crappy year. Dunka-doo-balls indeed. I imagine the scanner whipping in front of the eye sounds like it would hurt, and I remember he flipped it back and forth a couple of times in the movie.

Will there be a Wayans brother involved in this? I thought Marlon did okay for the first one.

Hmm, I don't know. I liked the first one, with some reservations.

You know, compared to animation you have liberty of cutting a lot of corners when making the transition to novels, comics, RPG books, etc. Let the fans' imaginations run wild with open ended and general descriptions about stuff, and then let their expectations get so high that it never compares to what is created over time. That's especially important when the company behind said stuff is lacking in some/many ways.

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time

I couldn't take The Village seriously while in the theater once they mentioned magic stones protecting one of the girl leads. Me and two guys in front of me busted out laughing all of a sudden. -

All Things Video Games Thread: II

Just like in real life, please be careful with fire. -
I really liked this movie. It was certainly better than the last one I saw in theaters (Prince of Persia). The soundtrack by Daft Punk was pretty good too.

Man, remember when all of this was supposed to be about Rick Hunter and not Internet gossipers/pundit wannabees defending the establishment (or in this case, the '"establishment"' that replaced the old "establishment") while embarrassing themselves for a cartoon show?
-
It's been done oh so many times before.

I don't know, Tommy seems to be always stuck promoting another person's material thanks to the nature of the franchise, whether it being Carl Macek or going even further to the original talent that made the shows that turned into Robotech. Only insiders, or very obsessed fans, really care about his contributions so far. And that's understandable, considering his latest chapter in the saga has been left hanging for 3+ years and the other things he's done really doesn't contribute much except filler (and Jack Archer). Maybe he really was an opportunist this whole time. And yeah, why should anyone care about some obsessed fan (I'd rather not speak of his name anymore since he doesn't matter) who is sounding more and more creepy and submissive? This is all he really does and he loves it, but there's not much to him besides that. Like those other guys that just go on and on without real substance on the usual Robotech talkshoe shows.

"Fine, I'll go build my OWN Macross and hookers. In fact, forget the Macross and the blackjack. Ah screw the whole thing."

Stop talking about people like MEMO and LSC like they're actually important to Robotech or anything. This is *shudder* Tommy Yune's franchise, the rest are useless except for doing shallow Internet troll games.
