  1. Can you imagine paying $7 as a digital download or up to $30 as a DVD for this?
  2. I just realized with all the "excitement" for the upcoming Robotech side story, there hasn't been much information on who actually worked on the piece of animation that HG is planning to show off at this year's convention tour. HG proabaly didn't do it and paid some other company/studio to work on it like Shadow Chronicles. But since they're in the animation/anime business (debatable at this point, course), isn't that an important thing for people to know besides the fact that it's a new Robotech production? Again, remember that HG normally doesn't create anime by themselves.
  3. Meh, must be the tiger blood and Adonis DNA talking. Whatever they're trying to do, they better move along with it since people have other crap to do. The Macross 30th anniversary is coming, and you know what they say about timing. This side story might actually be competing with something vastly superior if and when it gets released.
  4. I'm predicting a very potential spoiler alert for anyone interested in this production. It's so big it pretty much spoils whatever happens in the finished product Spoilers, do not open if you do not want to know what happens. Among other things, I can't believe the Mechwarrior revival was derailed for this and similar potential stuff.
  5. I consider them long gone exceptions to this (a.k.a. whipped). I'm talking about all the genuine people who believe in Robotech who don't have open connections with the powers that be in HG, certain privileges in the most official circles, or have a talkshoe podcast who keep eating it up this "news." You know, the rational people.
  6. Guess someone has money to burn. Bring on the trainwreck!
  7. Vagrant Story is now available in the Playstation Store: Vagrant Story Brings A Riot To The PlayStation Store This Week I think it was the most frustrating PS1 game from Square I ever played. All that equipment stat grinding and the hard bosses you had to face if you didn't prepare well, well, well in advance.
  8. Imagine being one of the people who keeps falling for it every single time, and maybe video tapes it for the Internet. After 5+ years since Shadow Chronicles left people hanging and nothing, please get a clue guys. I understand dedication, but it's crazyville proportions now.
  9. The trailer gives me the impression that most of the sci-fi elements from the original has been taken out. No spaceship, vehicles, or anything resembling the high tech base the original cast made. Magic maybe?
  10. Would you believe this got a Blu-ray release? Blu-ray?
  11. Depends, is going backwards and to the side with an overall story in order to tell an inconsequential filler tale considered lucky?
  12. Hmm, it got my attention. Looks pretty good. Just like with War for Cybertron, I really like the serious tone they took the remake.
  13. Birdemic. Bird-freakin'-demic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgAbVfh6WYg Yes, it's real.
  14. This was exactly what I was thinking when I first heard of this: An American Live-Action Star Blazers? Why not just release the Japanese one here?
  15. Someone wants to do that with Firefly right now. Nathan Fillion's 'Firefly' comments lead to petition concerning show's rights
  16. Sounds kind of awkward. How will this work with the new Yamato movie that just came out?
  17. But this is the Internet age, don't they risk doing just that with certain people spreading news (accurate or not, and heavily speculating) from convention panels every so often?
  18. Man, I'd love to watch something that wasn't trailers and Testers in the Home theater. Sweet, brings back memories.
  19. Why show footage of this new production only at convention panels when they could post it online for promotion purposes like everyone else?
  20. More importantly, is "Rick Hunter" in it?
  21. Looking back on it now, that's what happens when you base your franchise on a Macekre. Long term success is hard to come by. Oh God, here we go again. http://twitpic.com/41jlvn '> http://twitpic.com/41jlvn Bread and circuses for Robotech!
  22. Hell, look where Robotech has been in the last few years. They crushed more than HG's dreams of making big money on toys.
  23. Toynami apparently still has a use for the Robotech name even when promoting visibly marked Macross toys. Toynami booth at Toy Fair 2011. Totally classy.
  24. A modern interpretation.
