Apparently, it's not in China. Then again, Astro Plan, meh.

They should really be doing something for a change with those kinds of numbers. Oh wait, they're just an licensee, not actual creators of a franchise.

Translation: "Welcome to robo-tech.com and robo-techx.com. I'm the mod. STFU."
-
I'll still call it Robo-tech from now on in honor of certain people in the "biz" wasting so much of people's time because they couldn't understand context and the use of a damn lower case r and a slash to justify hours of rants on forums and talkshoe. And if it turns out to be called an elaborate April Fools Day prank in the future, it was too early by a couple of weeks to be one. Besides, they pull too much BS like this on a regular basis to actually make it funny anymore, both fanboys and the official talent running the franchise alike.

So what point was Mckeever trying to make? Is Robo-tech going to unexpectedly come around like a phoenix and find success in this situation? The LAM is in development hell, probably not coming to take advantage of this slump he's suggesting in time, and the only thing HG is offering is a potential side story that people may or may not like want at this time and production-wise may or may not even be done by this year. In fact, what does anything happening in Hollywood have to do with McKeever at this time? His only concern/sphere of influence is Robo-tech. He's not in MGM, Fox, Paramount, etc. He's in Harmony freakin' Gold. Person in the biz: "Harmony What?" Einherjar: "Exactly."

All Things Video Games Thread: II

Geez, it's like the problems I'm having with Far Cry 2 at the moment. I tell you, it's hard being a newcomer to multiplayer when all the hardcore people have most of the upgrades and tend to stick together to mop the floor with noobs in ranked matches. -
Actually, they turned Asian (ironic)... or Communist... or Anti-UN (in universe), I'm not sure. Anyway, who cares? It's going to turn back to the ghost town website its always been tomorrow.

Red vs Blue is returning for season 9 this Summer. However, I think the machinima phase of the series is coming to an end. Red vs. Blue Season 9 Trailer -
Are they ever going to resolve that storyline(s) within our lifetime? It only had an ending in the novels. But now that HG doesn't recognize it (beyond $$$, and now available in ebook form, btw) and the continuation/conclusion of the Shadow Saga hasn't gone anywhere (5 years going), where is the story driving towards these days? Off a cliff?

He he he. Gundam Unicorn, Full Frontal, wtf? I haven't been keeping track of this one, yet that's the only thing I know about it. And he's the Char knockoff for the show.- 3606 replies

Afraid of Monsters It sounds like this movie without the drugs.

I hope they're not hinting that they're actually the ones doing the animation work for their current projects. Not the Japanese, not South Korea, but a couple of people in HG using some retail animation program and then passing it off as professional work and/or anime. Take for instance: Anime Studio Debut 7 What other use would a company need with that, let alone make a post about it? Taxes?

Didn't HG put out various editions of Robotech (or Robo-tech, or whatever you spell it these days) over the years, VHS, DVD, etc., with various prices up until the Protoculture Collection? And people kept buying them despite having the same 85 episodes on them? And now people are talking/thinking about a Blu-Ray edition to top off the previous ones, and people are again willing to buy it? Oh yeah, I think there's a significant population who would import, if only to get something different after 25 years for just $500.

The second batch of the season 6 episodes will start in June on Comedy Central. Prepare to laugh, cry, and throw up apparently this summer. Hope you have a strong stomach for this. Also, more good news everyone! The voice actors have been hinting that the series has been picked up for additional seasons, but today I think it's becoming more likely. My advice: just stop. This can only end one way. Just accept it, it's much easier.

AKIRA LIVE ACTION MOVIE = Life Support?
Einherjar replied to Macross007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Robert Pattinson is too pretty and emo for Tetsuo. Whoever wrote the script knows the two leads are supposed to be punk bikers, right? -
I sympathize with him/her, but he's/she's talking about Robotech. It's entire history, or at least the last few years, should have given a hint that it's not as wholesome as many, many people thought it was in the first place. Valid concerns and opposing opinions are pretty much unwanted these days.

Since the movie is going to split between reality and fantasy of the main character, I'm not sure the story will end well. I'm reminded of Afraid of Monsters from the premise. I might like the fantasy world better than what actually happens in the story. Anyway, the animated shorts are pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQNS9Llhy5Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM96TDja_Jo&feature=related

Actually, I meant the people trying to break the news (a.k.a., trying to make a connection that probably isn't there, perhaps intentionally) that Cary Fukunaga was loosely involved with Robotech at one point. At least one of them is a mod; they could get away with it anyway. Remember, titles to shows and whatnot are usually capitalized at the beginning and also italicized or underlined when you type it. Also, don't forget that restricted sign since this is Robotech.

7-11 has Killzone 3 and Little Big Planet 2 promotions on their site, but it's been going on since the beginning of February so I don't know how long it will last. http://www.slurpee.com/rewards/ViewItemType.aspx?sItemType=Products&sCategory=All '> http://www.slurpee.com/rewards/ViewItemType.aspx?sItemType=Products&sCategory=All Basically, you buy Slurpee drinks, enter the codes on the site for points and then redeem them for stuff and DLC. Right now there's map packs and DLC for Killzone 3 and Playstation Home there. I'm more interested with the Sack Boy plushie and bookends. -
Cary Fukunaga dice no a Robotech (Cary Fukunaga says no to Robotech) Just let it burn, all of it, I say. Also, they too scared to say any of this on the official Robotech site?
-
I do not think this is news, but I still think it needs to be brought out because of how unnecessarily harsh it is. Apparently, another person has been identified being involved in the Robotech LAM named Cary Fukunaga. Or at least he may have been thought to be getting involved at one time until he passed on it, or whoever was reading it misinterpreted a dash between "robo" and "tech." Another reminder of how generic the name Robotech is today? An unfortunate coincidence from Googling the various forms of "robo" and "tech?" Who knows, but again, it isn't real news until someone more reliable confirms it. CARY FUKUNAGA APPROACHED TO DIRECT ROBOTECH LAM...TURNS IT DOWN
