  2. I'm not a fan of sloppy seconds. Just saying.
  3. The Kool-Aid people have been drinking is a hell of a drug.
  4. Damn you Ireland for your early season 2 airings.
  5. These days, I'd question the integrity of people like Greg Snegoff and Carl Macek as well as your trust in their words because, at the end of the day, like it or not, Robotech was deeply rooted in three different TV shows staffed by completely different people prior to 1985. It's something that really can't be avoided anyone. They, along with other people involved in the franchise, only have careers and the reputations they have now because of those people who continue to be marginalized as stuff like the Greg Snegoff interview might be interpreted.
  6. ...so welcome to the disenfranchised club?
  7. I think you're expecting too much from a company that essentially cheated its way to creating a franchise in the first place.
  8. Look at the bright side, the EP of "It's You" is no longer going to be just a cruel joke now. It will be an actual one.
  9. Is any of that actually true though? I ask because it seems like from what I read everyone else was treated as Carl Macek's scapegoat for the problems with Robotech after the original only 85. In fact, that's what Tommy Yune does too these days.
  10. Remember the days when Robotech Love Live Alive was just some cruel joke people here and other places made fun of before it became a real cruel joke? LLA may actually make that a legitimate strategy (again!). If only one of the guys who actually worked on The Macross Saga before it was given that name wasn't doing just that in a new comic book manga under its real title...
  11. And people think all of that is perfectly normal for a franchise. Or just this franchise since it's an exemption.
  12. Too many lawyers on the field?
  13. Pacing problems while trying to tell a romantic story (or a secondary thread in a plotline) makes it bad. Blame the storyteller. Also, Shakespeare was a badass storyteller.
  14. I thought the lack of chunky mechanical designs and Superman-esque character proportions (aka just good enough for comic books) should've made that obvious.
  15. Guess who's back? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3HdWpqmtp4
  16. The breaking point with the aid of the Internet if it existed back then.
  17. There's still a lot of unlicensed anime out there that they can use if their standards are still so low compared to everyone elses. After all, the franchise's best work came from second hand use of animation no matter what people say. After the fourth or fifth time why stop?
  18. Well, I was wrong, knowing the distributor for their crap is more important than who is doing the new animation for their crap now.
  19. Funimation Discontinues 4 DVD, Blu-ray Titles
  20. The writer isn't going to be happy with the final product (if and whenever that comes around). It would be easier to get used to watching subs.
  21. I hope he isn't referring to Love Live Alive. Also, be careful what you wish for.
  22. Thank God someone had the good idea to make an actual franchise based on The Macross Saga.
