Anime does count as imported material, maybe explaining the price. -
Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time II: The Quickening
Einherjar replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
When watching The Village in a movie theater, once the blind girl mentioned that some magic stones would protect them from the "monsters," me and a couple of guys behind me just burst out laughing and couldn't take the film seriously anymore.- 854 replies

I wonder how long it will take them to implement the immersive features they've been promoting for Dust? I've been stockpiling ISK for a couple of months now.- 6756 replies

Tommy Yune has said LLA was the last production Carl Macek had been planning for some time for the franchise before his death, and he and co. were following through with it as a final tribute. However, I don't think any of that is actually true. They might be stalling because of money/production problems and maybe from that supposed leaked Shadow Rising script debacle that happened a couple of years ago.

I think a picture of Slenderman would be more appropriate in this case.

MOSPEADA IS BACK... by proxy! ... Sorry DarrinG. Like I said in the Mospeada thread, there's still an interest in the show, but just not in the way people want it to be treated.

The lack of publicity for this up to now really says a lot, especially considering the build up to Shadow Chronicles. Yeah, I've seen the official press release sent out to most sites, but does that count? From what I've seen at least, it's weird that it's been getting the most attention in Austrailia for some reason, maybe coinciding with the Robotech documentary that was shown at the film festival Tochiro talked about back in April. http://www.geekofoz.com/2013/04/robotech-associate-producer-steve-yun.html http://www.capsulecomputers.com.au/2013/05/interview-with-steve-yun/ Also, considering that for quite some time HG has been using the annual convention tour to promote it as well, has the reception not been so warm or have I been missing something? I think the tabletop kickstarter got more attention up to now.

Man of Steel - Superman movie has a director

Someone gave me a ticket to the early bird first showing of the film tonight, and after watching it I can honestly say that Superman Returns can go to hell. This is how you do a Superman movie.- 442 replies

If only the actual series, and the Rebuild movies especially, was like that. It would be more satisfying and easier to understand than what we actually got. -

I think Capcom is forgetting the entire point of the Dead Rising games. http://kotaku.com/dead-rising-3-explores-a-grittier-sort-of-zombie-apocal-512508469 It's not supposed to be like The Walking Dead, Dead Island, or Resident Evil.- 6756 replies

I've found using Amazon for buying used games usually has venders selling them at more competitive prices compared to stores like GameStop, even with shipping and state mandated taxes applied. I get that Microsoft is trying to help out developers in the second hand market, it's just being more restrictive about the process for the consumer. Maybe it can give gamers a little more incentive to think about what they're buying and not trade in games so quickly to these stores.- 6756 replies

I want to say that companies still have a vested interest in Mospeada. Unfortunately, from what I've seen recently, it's not in a way a lot of people want it to be treated.
