  1. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-07-24/harmony-gold-sues-hasbro-for-copyright-infringement-over-toy HG's demands remind me of the LG and Sony patent lawsuit a couple of years ago where the former wanted ban all PS3 sales in the US and Europe. The demands there also sounded totally unreasonable:
  2. IGN is basing this story on a report from a website called Latino Review that noted it for a Star Wars piece. Does anyone find it strange that a lot of breaking news about Robotech these days are coming from news sources and websites that most people would never know existed if someone else wasn't informed beforehand? For example, Love Live Alive got some exclusive coverage from some random Austrailian anime website but barely anything from sites that traditionally kept track of anything Robotech years ago like The Anime News Network. Some confirmation of this would be good before SOMEONE prematurely milks it for all it's worth (again).
  3. If they only put as much effort in everything else in their franchise as they do threatening legal action against anyone they perceive as infringing on their legal rights... Getting back on topic, it looks like a decent toy, but not something I would sue over.
  4. They should sue Northrop Grumman while they're at it, just to be sure!
  5. Hmm, dat Yuzuki Eba. For the MC's sake, I hope she's worth the trouble. Thank God there's no intergalactic war happening in the background.
  6. The warning signs were always out there many years in advance, that's all I need to say. Anything game-changing happen in it?
  7. The MC in this show is just an idiot, not some sociopath like Makoto. The rage comes from readers because of the MC's, and to be honest the writer's too, dumb decisions with the love triangle. With 200+ chapters, we'd be lucky if it did end in a Nice Boat. The manga was done by the same guy that did Suzuka, if it means anything.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=qc453Z_U1Vk Macekre confirmed.
  9. I don't I will ever think ill of HIkaru or Alto when it comes to their love lives ever again after discovering that there is an anime adaptation of Kimi no Iru Machi launched this Summer. On the internet, it's also called The Town Where You RAGE, for having one of the most frustrating love triangles ever. How frustrating is it? I'll let ExecutiveOtaku explain: http://www.thatanimeblog.com/index.php/2012/04/kimi-no-iru-machi-chapters-1-10-hopping-on-the-ragewagon/
  10. It totally has nothing to do with his Speed Racer comic prematurely ending, which he was working on while he was supposedly also working on Robotech Love Live Alive.
  11. Comics are an exception to the rule since they're considered merchandise or something. Tommy Yune did comics using the likeness of the Macross cast in the early 2000's.
  12. For all we know, this is just another convenient distraction to cover up Robotech's problems behind the scenes on all fronts (again).
  13. The article hints that Dynamite might be doing more than just a crossover in the future. Then again, there was supposed to be a new animated chapter to the series to be told since 2007, and look where that's gone. Man, in hindsight Exosquad sure dodged a screwed up situation when that Robotech crossover fell through.
  14. Super Robot Wars: Mackere Edition! Shouldn't someone finish That Shadow Saga thing before, apparently, going nuts?
  15. My God... It's... Too... Manly...! Well, maybe I'll try it just cuz.
  16. I wondered what happened to this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8To-6VIJZRE Did that developers thing ever work out?
  17. I think Gundam already did something close to this premise before. MS Saga: A New Dawn Also, Gundam: The Origin, "sometime between 2014 and 2015." http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-07-02/gundam-the-origin-anime-and-tomino-latest-slated-for-2014-2015
  18. Great show in the end. I really think there's a lot of potential to have sequel or the beginnings of a franchise. But knowing who's behind it, maybe not. Also...
  19. As a lot of people know about me, I've been curious for a while which studios were going to be responsible for the new animation for LLA. If IMDB is accurate, at least info is starting to become public about this aspect. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2906190/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm#cast http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2906190/companycredits?ref_=tt_dt_co At least one of them is Big Star Enterprise, who previously worked on the Dante's Inferno anime and Tales of the Black Freighter full length feature from Watchman. It looks like they do in-between animation in the same vain as DR Movie.
  20. Sorry, I just had to do it after the last episode.
