  1. In this case, I'd argue that there is an interest outside of Japan but somehow bad ideas take legal precidence over quality work all the time.
  2. Look carefully. http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Constellation_class_model
  3. Oh well, maybe if only more effort was put into Ascension. http://io9.com/heres-a-twist-syfy-confirms-that-ascension-is-dead-1690682353
  4. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/02/on-kickstarter-everyone-is-peter-molyneux/ Not really related, I know, but I'd keep bugging Palladium about that Wave 2 and whatever else they should have delivered over one year after their original estimated release date.
  5. With threads like this, I think they've "conveniently" forgot a whole lot of stuff over the last 30 years than just music. For instance, I thought I remembered someone who worked on Star Wars getting involved in this movie. The name I forget (please don't remind me, I'm trying to make a point), but it's not like he really matters anymore. Same goes for that guy who played the first Spider-Man on the big screen who got the ball rolling, way back when he was the only Spider-Man on the big screen. Remember how long ago those people came and went and suddenly replaced by other people who suddently came and went.
  6. Where were you during the last few years of media blitzes that happened around this time for this? A lot of people have come and gone as possible the directors and other positions for this film over the years.
  7. I think the Andrew Garfield era is coming to an end already. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/spider-man-swings-marvel-studios-772127
  8. I swear, at first I thought from the trailer that this was a sequel to Real Steel because of the robot and Hugh Jackman.
  9. Now I remember. Justy did the RDF Underground podcast, and was probably one of the more rational ones talking about the franchise online way back when, or was at least more down to earth about it than others. More importantly, I think he knew when things were going to hell and to just walk away from it.
  10. Scary to see Robotech Master (aka Justy Yuki?) formally from the Space Station Liberty podcast still trying to defend this after all these years, seemingly popping up whenever the franchise is mentioned online.
  11. Exactly. And a happy dubious milestone celebration for everyone while we're at it.
  12. With all due respect, that is not real news. It's just more people for a certain deranged old guy to cyberstalk in 2015. In fact, from the previous posts on this page of the thread, we went through this almost a year ago with the last not news. And apparantly, again a year before that one when the thread started!
  13. The Evangelion manga finally came to an end after over 15 years, even going on between the end of the original series and into the Rebuild movies. After the new conclusion Sadamoto made for the story, the very last chapter had an unexpected development which may have huge implications if it wasn't just a shout out or some trolling. I highly suggest reading it before going further below.
  14. If any Playstation Network / Qriocity / Sony Online Entertainment users have been getting unusual e-mails about a settlement claim process they should go through, it's not a hoax. Looks like Sony is trying to bring closure to the 2011 hack they experienced. http://kotaku.com/if-you-had-a-psn-account-in-2011-heres-how-to-get-fre-1681419487
  15. I don't know. To me it looks like gritty, Battlestar Galactica-like adaptations with all the anime influences toned way down if not purged outright. It's pretty much something HG would also want to do from a legal perspective under the guise of a "reinterpretation."
  16. Maybe because the Kickstarter happened? But before seriously thinking about that, look at how Voltron was treated. http://www.dynamite.com/htmlfiles/viewProduct.html?CAT=DF-Voltron
  17. Hell, apparently it's that kind of thinking that helps Dynamite Entertainment make money.
  18. On a whim, I took some time looking at the Dynamite Comics website and at some of the material they've released recently. I may have found a very unusual trend in part of their business. Notice a pattern? Sherlock Holmes vs Harry Houdini Django / Zorro Masks The Shadow / Green Hornet: Dark Nights Terminator / Robocop: Kill Human Lady Rawhide / Lady Zorro Witchblade / Red Sonja Dark Shadows / Vampirella Army of Darkness / Xena Now, taking this into account, think back on Robotech x Voltron.
  19. I was impressed with the this week's fight scene between Archer and Conway (Revenge Rampage!). Was it just me, or did the production values go up for it? It really looked different compared to past seasons.
  20. Honestly Captain, why would you expect anything deeper in 5 issues than what was presented? Some holdout from the franchise's "epic" days? https://sdf5x.wordpress.com/2015/01/09/robotechvoltron-4-5-dynamite-comics/
  21. This is the real future of the franchise.
  22. Those Facebook groups really need something better to argue about after 30 years.
