  1. Robotech theme song just before it starts? What the hell?
  2. It's gonna suck to be in Sony Picture's shoes for the foreseeable future.
  3. Make your own conclusions about this one.
  4. I think there is a fourth pillar of Macross that isn't talked about like the main three that might play a big part in Delta; subversion, or a theme of going against expectations. Also, Swedish variable fighters?
  5. Bad news everyone, another delay into October, but rescheduled to around the time of the Delta event.
  6. They've been in the slot machine business for a decade already. It shocked me the first time I saw a Metal Gear themed one in Vegas.
  7. Snow and White with the Red Hair episode 10
  8. I should have said I don't think it really should have taken him so long to come up with that conclusion regardless of how loyal he is, or was, to the franchise.
  9. Did he only come to that conclusion after buying all the issues?
  10. That's a selfish way of supporting someone, Mommar.
  11. Too bad the second season/conclusion of Ledo's story was cancelled. I wonder if it was because Gen Urobuchi wanted to live up to his reputation after subverting it?
  12. A lot of time has passed for backer motivations for the Kickstarter to change, especially after the honeymoon period ended and backers got a real look at what exactly they got themselves into and who they collectively gave their money to. And it's probably a bigger portion of the backers than anyone wants to admit that this point. But at least you still have a use for it instead of, apparently, chucking it in the closet and forgetting it like a lot of people have been saying here. Even more so with the "Shut up and take my money" people that pop up these days, everyone is in the same boat now. I think it's relevant since Kevin Siembieda has mentioned them as part of their process for official products even before the Kickstarter and implicitly spreading the blame for the schedule delays and quality troubles here. Granted though, they're apparently taking down everybody who ever worked with them for this project.
  13. I had this whole analytical thing I wanted to write, but it's getting late. The important parts though were, I thought save for, I guess, true believers people like cypherxv and VF-0RC, everyone was trying to take advantage of everyone else in the fundraising phase for their own uses for the the figures outside of Palladium's original intent (Battletech conversions, personal collections, etc.). It contributed to a ridiculous ending with overblown expectations, and in the actual development and delivery phase it ended up screwing everyone and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. It all sounds vaguely familiar. After seeing what kind products HG approved for using their trademarks recently, now more than ever do I not think they are a reliable source of quality control in general. Skate boards, people! Their involvement here could have been just rubber stamping whatever came their way. But let me guess, this is how Kevin Siembieda or someone affiliated with him/Palladium explained the process?
  14. Did anyone here back the project to actually support the wargame/RPG these figures were intended to be used for?
  15. Nice edit at the end Tochiro.
  16. Slowly getting back into anime with Snow White with the Red Hair. Has probably the most colorful and detailed art I've seen in anime for a while. Though, before the first season ends I hope they stop with the foreplay and give the Shojo money shot everyone is waiting for. Plus, for me it's a Snow White who actually shows emotions for a change.
  17. You should've been around when the other Robotech Kickstarter was happening. For all the crap Palladium gets for this project, at least they had a plan.
  18. Just like a majority of Kickstarter projects. And that's the reason I posted the sandwich video years ago. It's played out just as it predicted.
  19. To those more used to how Kickstarters work; how much time and effort do creators usually spend on writing up project updates? Are they ever as lengthy as the more recent ones this project had?
  20. Whatever influence Idolmaster, if all things, had on the creator a few years ago, or over the years.
  21. Never forget the trials and tribulations of Berserk's schedule slips.
  22. Anyone remember the kill counter in Hot Shots! Part Deux?
  23. I remember watching the trailer for Jupiter Ascending in the theater and not giving it a second thought. After briefly Googling it, I am very surprised that it was not based on a young adult book series. Now that I think back to it, I am even more surprised that it was not in fact an American adaptation to a Shoujo manga, because that trailer made the film feel like something from that genre.
