    I disagree. Having a tendency to over-analyze things, I think there are enough hints scattered throughout this episode that that point to some shady things happening behind the scenes, but probably not Frontier levels of scheming (yet). Damn, RedWolf beat me to it. Totally agree with what was said. On a side note, hope Delta finishes the job Macross 30 started and goes full Norse on us this Spring.

    I followed bloggers like Crusader, Kurogane, ghostlightning and the Random Curiosity people back in the day. They made Frontier sound like it was both a heavy hitter and a legitimate mecha show for guys.

    Was anyone here followers of anibloggers back in 2008? With all the build up for Delta over the past few months, for me there's been a persistent reminder that a lot of them have moved on and their blogs have all but disappeared from the Internet.

    I thought people were obsessing about something involving a rabbit recently. Not that I can criticize; per the recommendation of Anime World Order, I'm watching Goku Midnight Eye. Cool ending theme though.

    As in every mecha show the character designs/color schemes for the Delta Squadron may roughly match the corresponding Siegfried they will be piloting based on the first promotional image. Mirage is the violet, Chuck is yellow, Hayate is the main blue one. The last two may emphasize black and a different tone of blue/sickly green in their designs?

    Thank you Amazon! This took two weeks to ship while both Macross 30 and five volumes of The First will take a month. There should be no excuses these days.

    See? Always bet on the secret faction/Independents, now the Delta Squadron. The Knights should be called Clamp Squadron for all I care now. I've learned to accept that it was just a very minor Internet meme all those years ago, but I really hope there's still a chance a Machida will get their chance in the spotlight. If the Jenius family can come back, anything is possible.

    What if it ends up being subtle hint of what's really happening in the show's setting? Showcasing these cute girls and pretty boys could all be a distraction to something bigger.

    How about in this context; despite the supplemental material making it a trivial thing at this point, all of the characters so far appear to be human. Also, their descriptions make them sound pretty well adjusted despite the Var Syndrome wrecking havoc on the galaxy. Then again, the same can be said for most of the people onboard the original Macross throughout most of the show. Except for Kaifun.

    That is trivial In the post Alto Saotome and Bobby Margot galaxy we are in. Aside from the huge amount of fangirls the Aerial Knights might generate, in the context of the show I have doubts people should be really rooting for them. In fact, with all of the promotional material focused on either the Walküre and Aerial Knights so far, I have a feeling the staff has been keeping a third group, maybe whoever pilots the 31s, a secret because it would be a twist game changer in the setting. He and the Zolan girl from the preview may be part of it.

    I should have said genuine manliness. The characters posing with the Drakens sure don't project that.

    What matters is that Kawamori has been and will always be working in television, video games, mechanical design, etc. refining his craft(s) while the emulators imitators will blatantly pretend to be in convention panels all across America with very little to show for it. And spending a year name dropping doesn't count.

    Hope they're not saving this guy for last. Sure, he might be just the male lead, but I have a feeling there's something more to him besides GAR-ness.

    This was posted in another part of the forum, but relative here as well. It's probably the biggest non-endorsement for the movie people can get at this point. Shoji Kawamori, The Creator Hollywood Copies But Never Credits They won't.

    What a puny god-killer, taken out like a chump in less than two hours because he is part of Lex Luthor's anti-Superman scheme number 001. That's not a spoiler either at this point.
