Macross World Podcast - feedback & comments
Einherjar replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
I thought it was cool that all this time someone possibly has been influencing the entire course of the franchise up to now with few people actually knowing. Lady M may have outdone Grace in playing shadow games behind the scenes.- 1147 replies

I'd like to see how Hayate would do piloting a Zentradi battle suit. It seems like a better match to his frequent use of battroid mode in air combat than a Valk. -

I was wrong. The triangle shape is also on the backside of Delta squad's flight suits. -

There's been some weird things I've started to notice this late into the series regarding the Zentradi. I could have sworn that that Tochiro, ANN or Crunchyroll mentioned a promotional event where you could turn yourself into a Zentradi that happened last year. Then there was episode 0.89 where fans had to translate the Zentradi alphabet in order to find out the voice cast for the show. But when the shows begins they are only featured prominently for two episodes, and with a new Regult variant, and then we're left with Mirage, Ernest and deculture being used once in a while. What was the point of any of that if they have little to no involvement in the plot? The Hory Froating Head has planned something maybe. -

Just some rambling, but wasn't there a promotional event for Delta where you could turn yourself into a Zentradi last year?- 1147 replies

Lewd! I still wonder how Wright's pendant fits into the Revolution. If he had the same abilities as Hayate, he could have also been immune to any proto-Var the Windermerians developed. Taking it further, Arad may have seen Wright pilot under the pendent's influence before, which helps explain why he wasn't surprised when his son was able down Borgue. But it's just Fold Quartz though. It must not have any significance to the Windermerians if it didn't set off any alarm bells for the Knights, even the older ones, or Roid, the kingdom's Protoculture expert, in their face to face encounter with Hayate. Also, anyone else wondering where all of the Zentradi have gone from this part of the galaxy? We've been left with just Mirage, Ernest, and possibly Reina long before all of them were completely Var'ed.- 1147 replies

Up to now it was always portrayed as a good thing. This time it looked pretty ominous compared to 7 and the other times Hayate received it. Mirage is totally ready for the Immelman. -

Out of respect for Big Boss and Jon Snow, I think of him more as Most Dangerous Keith; little to no personality besides a-hole and no redeeming qualities beyond emo, his brother Heinz, and bromance with Roid. Give that b*****d a football uniform and he's set. Not sure if the character development for the Knights made an impression at all to me. Except for Borgue, all I could think of for their part in the episode is "rich boy problems." For all the bad things that Windermere has gone through, perceived or actual, it doesn't change the fact that as part of the nobility they are probably more well off than a huge chunk of the populace. Of course most of them would agree to perpetual warfare. Also helps that either a random Terran, their late king, or some other secretive party literally killed the concept of chivalry for the whole kingdom. I'd like to know more of how life for the commoners are like by comparison. So far Freyja has been their only representation, and it's concerning that she desperately wanted to get off the planet and her only procession of note was contraband technology. What if she's not the only one with the same story? Might need to see Freyja's manga to be sure. -
