  1. Does the finale count as a reset button ending? It started out 150,000 years ago and moves on to today at a critical turning point with no known outcome. Plus, no time travel.
  2. Yeah, I hate when that happens. Like in the last episode, one thing I didn't get at first was that they brought back most of the cast that was still alive except Number Three. Then, I learn from the podcast that she was serious about staying on the real Earth and died alone a while back. The whole time I thought they kept her off screen to save money from bringing in Lucy Lawless.
  3. It was probably for the best that they didn't explain a lot about the spiritual stuff about the series at the end. Who would want to see the writers explain what "God" is and etc. without offending anyone?
  4. I'm starting to like those two security guards. I'll feel sorry for David if all of this is eventually corrupts him in the end.
  5. I now know how every other anime/manga based Hollywood movie is going to turn out. They learned nothing from Joel Schumacher.
  6. I had to sleep to ponder the finale, then I remembered, "All of this has happened before...:" It was okay, I had fears that the ending would be something between
  7. The first announcements for Macross Frontier and the Robotech live film came out near the same time in 2007. It may be a coincidence, but you think this was HG's attempt to stop Macross/Big West following Shadow Chronicles and Rising?
  8. People are still crazy about Robotech brand toys and RPG books, unless they're selling/doing anything else that's generating mad money for them at the moment. Still, you're right about their business strategy, unless they're serious about making Shadow Rising and the live movie it's wasteful spending.
  9. Yeah, I'd probably do the course if I had the chance. I'd train for a while before doing it, but it might be fun.
  10. I'd like to see what kind of mecha they can come up with without help. They've shown they're somewhat terrible making new characters and storylines these days, so wowing people with cool looking mecha and explosions are all they have left. No wonder they're leaving the future up to Hollywood.
  11. I understand the eye candy girl getting sent there, but not the nerd/tool sent with her.
  12. You make it sound like HG's been panicking for years now.
  13. Gosh, just found out they sent Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira were sent to one of the contests. Who thought that was a good idea?
  14. Didn't G4 try to promote the series by making their own mock up of the show and get fans to do some of those stunts for prizes?
  15. Does anybody know the exact death toll of characters killed in the franchise up to now?
  16. Reviews for the show have been good but the ratings tanked? WTF? http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/03/kings-nbc-p...re-ratings.html
  17. G4's still showing stuff like that? Actually, G4 still exists?
  18. Guess this isn't a surprise by now, but the reviews for the film are coming out. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dragonball-evolution
  19. For a story adapted from the Bible, it already looks interesting.
  20. Welcome to the forum. I've been to your blog a couple of times before and thought you were a member here already.
  21. Good memories these past 30 years, mostly for the mecha. Yoshiyuki Tomino's killed a lot of people since then too.
  22. Awesome, hope they bring it out on DVD in the States. I also like the range of emotions this Spider-Man has.
  23. I probably won't miss them since there are other detailed sources about those topics.
  24. A question about the future: Can Robotech go on without Rick Hunter? Most of the Macross cast were killed off in Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles or prior to it. Would it be a huge shock after all these years if they decided to send him off in the Shadow Rising or other future entry?
  25. They did Planetarian Chiisana Hoshi no Yume, Little Busters!, and others after Clannad. They probably bring on the wet works too. Alto Tomoya goes through so much it's painful sometimes.
