Happy 10 year anniversary Playstation 2. http://kotaku.com/5484669/my-10-years-with-the-playstation-2 ... Oh, and Robotech. Guess people are going to be celebrating like people did a year or two ago for something else.

It's going to feature a Matthew Mcconaughey look alike? -
So, is a railgun safe to use so close to a glass or plastic equivalent reinforced canopy?
-
Once again, thanks MEMO. At least in Southern Cross the mecha exposed the pilot in only one form. This is just absolutely dangerous. It didn't work when they did it in the Matrix or Avatar, it definitely won't work here. Also, I hope that big gun above the pilot seat acts like a mortar or something. I would not be comfortable using it to take out a target directly in front of me.

If that's the Silverback I've been hearing about, it's a liability type, prone to sniper rifles/campers or punches to the face.

But what will happen to -
It both does and doesn't make sense at the same time. Memo likes Doug's show over JT's by default because he doesn't call him out for the crazy things he does, for the good of the franchise, and Doug lashes out at JT and others for petty crap, for the good of the franchise. Hopefully, Memo stops by this post, because I know for a fact Doug has also said many unflattering things about him as well over the years, especially about that tuna fish hat. The person he's defending has had no problem tearing him a new one many times over the years for the same petty crap. If it still matters at this point, he might want to fact check this for himself. But I guess here, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Or at least, the closest thing to competition to this guy, no matter the quality, is better than the one criticizing me at the moment by default.

They're not offering it at all in the U.S., at least in my branch, just pencil holders. But even then, it would suck to be anyone interested not living in California, Nevada (Las Vegas), or New York (New York City), the only places in the country that have restaurants.
-
Hmm, even better. I'm just glad it didn't just appear in Zero suddenly like the other concepts introduced there, that's all.
-
Who knows? This could all be a test market scenario with very little risk, but high returns. Then it will appear in the other branches.

It's like the Filipino McDonalds with a giant bee as the Mascot.
-
I guess their choices were limited, Pizza Hut sponsored Macross and Code Geass in the past, which probably marks off KFC and Taco Bell as well. Not to belittle Jollibee or fellow Filipinos, but what does that say about Harmony Gold, if that actually does say anything? Honestly, I'm confused.
-
From the Movies and TV forum, Robotech anniversary fever is in fast food restaurants... in the Philippines. http://cybertronphils.proboards.com/index....0195&page=1 Et tu, Jollibee? There's a branch in my town in the U.S., I'll check if the promotion is here as well.
-
No way, et tu Jollibee? http://cybertronphils.proboards.com/index....0195&page=1 It's a fast food restaurant based in the Philippines. It's in America too, even one in my town. I better check just in case.

All I see is, "Screw the rules, I'm a mod, and I have the moral high ground. Get a life." My response, "You're expendable."
-
I'll go further into it; they have no real story in Robotech to talk about anymore, and the whole franchise is there purely for money these days. Dangling Rick Hunter, nostalgia, legalities, etc. are just the means to an end, and they welcome people's obsessiveness, but only on their terms and conditions.
-
I like the design for the Defender EX in Macross II. The arm (laser?) cannons look menacing. And from the description from Mr. March's site they're fast too because of rollers. Oh, so that's where they got the idea for the Destroids with wheels.
-
To me, it's always surprising just how low people will go to defend this. Apparently, there is no bottom, that's all. And there's very little to show for it on any level except urging people to stay patient, keep thinking about positive hypothetical situations for the franchise, and buy paraphernalia.
-
I think MEMO and Maverick are just plain useless for anything in that situation. Though, I have to applaud them for helping bring down their own franchise because of their obsessiveness. I doubt they really know the full consequences of a lot of their actions as long as they keep a certain someone happy. And I'm seeing more of this "fandom politics" day after day. Sounds as corrupt as regular politics (sorry, I know the rules, but still).
-
I'd say you're ripe for banning.
-
Besides grandstanding, isn't that the only real function those guys have left until HG throws them a bone or something? It's hard to even have a serious conversation with them about Robotech.
-
I must be missing something, but whenever something like a compromised moderator speaks, what does it actually mean? Robotech is still in the same position it was before he said it, and the whole thing from that perspective starts over again without real results. It makes a lot of it useless except to piss people off and ruin their own credibility in the long run. Because let's face it, no one in Harmony Gold or Warner Brothers ever pays attention to that crap except for thinking about the "children" who go there. Patting yourself on the back for something you really liked 25 years ago on a regular basis doesn't really make sense if that thing constantly refuses to show life beyond merchandise and convention panels.

Grandia was good, the voice acting was okay. Don't marathon it though, you learn very quick that you won't be able to backtrack to certain areas throughout the game.
-
You will get used to it. They've been doing this for literally years with very little results. That's my response to everything they do now. Years.
-
Ok, fine. No one wins when it comes to Robotech, not even HG. Aww, dammit, I did it again.
