I thought they already did with... what's the full list of people that have been associated with the Robotech LAM now? At least one of them was paid to write something like a script/screenplay. You got Spider-Man who's moving on to more serious material, the Star Wars person who just left without warning, the Smallville writers either tweening it up or going back to the show for a TENTH(!) season, the crime drama novelist that came out of nowhere, and this new guy who's recent film might be seen more critically by certain people for another subject, if quality still matters to them. Plus, WB may have paid HG something in order to get the rights to make a LAM.
-
At this point, they'd hype up anyone who becomes associated with Robotech over the years. And I mean ANYONE that gets approached, even Uwe Boll. Imagine them giving more credit to House of the Dead, Far Cry, and In the Name of the King then they really should get because he's working on Robotech.
-
I bet there wasn't a script, just a wad of cash and goading about the career opportunities for it. Like the trend of people getting involved in adaptations, they were "fans" of the originals.
-
I didn't know they made a third "I know What You Did Last Summer." Oh well, milk this as far you can usual suspects. I'll help you out. http://www.latinoreview.com/news/reader-re...the-losers-9182

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time

Most of what's been featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000, but one I was reminded recently was Puma Man. -
The career of Sylvian White, for those interested: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1234893/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvain_White Is it just me, or does his work experience seem small?

Another name to add to the Robotech LAM bandwagon: Sylvain White. http://iesb.net/index.php?option=com_conte...&Itemid=171 Robotech is saved!
-
It needs a Mr. T cameo, at least.

Are you sure HG did not sell out Robotech for some of WB's money and resources?
-
I don't think those 30-40 year old have gotten it yet, even after 3-4 years.

When it comes to this, sorry, I'm not amused. Everyday seems to be like an April Fools joke when it comes to this topic, that April 1st looks like a normal day.
-
Oh yeah, April 1st. It would be pretty crappy if it was either situation. It would be in bad taste too since UEG really did get a C&D. Because it didn't happen to Señor Chang. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc3ttMqZ6Dk

Holy crap. http://www.robotechx.com/ EDIT: Doesn't need exclamation marks.

The trailer showing Matthew McConaughey leaping to hit the dragon with an axe looked cool, until you saw the movie. -
A modern fighter already costs a huge chunk of cash. We would need a significant improvement in technology and etc. just to make that more practical in the post Cold War era. That's another thing too, these days something like a Valkyrie might be overkill anyway, just as recent military craft already is against some forces because they were designed to fight Communism and etc. But if we were only lucky enough to get an alien spaceship to crash somewhere in the Pacific.

I find it funny that for the good "official" Robotech art, they can't really attribute them to anyone or don't give credit to the people who made them. They're made or trademarked by a company, Harmony gold, rather than a person, leading to some of the misunderstandings that continue to this day. But for Tommy Yune's work, they can credit him directly somewhere in the work.

What the heck was this guy thinking? ]http://kotaku.com/5505341/suspected-game-code-thief-on-the-lam-%5Bupdate%5D For his sake, the game he stole better not end up sucking. -
In retrospect, I should have said I believe Nenad was invited to try to defend UEG's situation from what HG did because the show was really a trap.
-
I agree azrael, that's the kind of people all that talk was for. The whole thing works on people's ignorance about a lot of things, especially about the entertainment that's available to them. So let me guess, Nenad was invited to defend UEG's situation from what HG did and MEMO, no idea, was invited to give people his views on why HG's was right to act? It feels too convenient.
-
I find it suspicious that this podcast, which MEMO is apparently a part of, was able to get a hold of someone from UEG in such short notice. And since I can't translate it at the moment, what was the intent of the host, MEMO, and Nenad for the entire show?
-
Of course it doesn't, we're not the intended audience. It's supposed to be for those who can't or don't want to take the time to analyze its context for various reasons. For instance, its less important than getting to meet Carl Macek in the flesh, which is a big deal to some people, and getting another reminder that Harmony Gold will continue to commit to Robotech and maybe Macross in some capacity. They were vague about it, but that's probably enough to get people psyched for a couple of months about it.

I may have a bad memory, but have I brought up The Fountain before in a thread like this? I feel like I'm repeating myself at times. Though, you could think that the film was that bad for me. -
The user that uploaded that video was MEMO, notice the title and description. He believes that runaround is definitive proof of HG's authority.

The Fountain, staring Hugh Jackman. It was a case of Never Trust a Trailer for me. I was expecting this epic story about a couple gaining immortality and going through trials and tribulations in their love while something separated them. Also, Hugh Jackman being a bad ass in some war scenes. Instead, it was about three somewhat connected stories about the Fountain of Youth with Hugh Jackman as the protagonists with a Gainex ending. And the war scene I was expecting? Only Jackman dressed as a Conquistador alone vs. a bunch of Mayans in the beginning out of nowhere, and he lost. You heard me, Wolverine got beat by Mayans in this film.
