Here's my YF-29 Ozma custom. I was going to redo the canopy and fold crystals with a different paint, but my airbrush head somehow sheared off with a piece still stuck in the main body while I was disassembling it for cleaning and Badger has not responded to my email sent almost a week ago. So I decided to keep it as is for now. Using smaller thumbnails again due to number of pics. Click to get larger image. Fighter: Fighter with super pack: GERWALK: Super GERWALK: Battroid: -

I don't believe so. Even in the line art renders, it isn't equipped with them. -
+2 The wings on mine were so loose, they flopped around all over the place.

I thought there was a waist swivel too when I first saw pics of this thing because if you look right above the label where you mark "indent" in the first pic, you can see how the piece that the legs and cod piece are attached to is separate from the torso by that horizontal line. However I just don't know how it would actually turn due to the way the 19's transform. You've got that whole spine thing that folds up and over the cockpit and holds the upper chest, arms and head. They would have to somehow allow that whole assembly to rotate independently as well in order to have a functional waist swivel. I guess I can think of one way to accomplish that, but I'm not sure if that is how it's done on the toy. Edit: After studying the pics more, I think how I think it would be done matches how the toy does it. The part that connects to the legs and codpiece is likely smaller piece with a rounded back that swivels within a housing so that it can be independent of the spine attachment point. It probably has enough gap to allow it to swivel 10-15 degrees either way. By the look of the pics, if I'm interpreting what I'm seeing correctly, the waist is already swiveled as far left as it can go relative to the torso.

I was binge watching season 4 of Walking Dead recently and it caused me to be confused by your comment for a little while until I realized you were talking about the stand. Nice. At least it can still be displayed without the extra stand legs if one should choose to. -

What happened to the nose joint on yours and are you considering getting the Bandai VF-19 Advanced instead? -
Personally, I prefer the Arcadia version as far as proportions go based on the pics available. I like the bulkier look of the hand drawn line art version that the Arcadia version is based on compared to the presumably slimmer version of the CG based model, similar to how the VB-6 was updated to be more proportionally consistent in the CG model vs the hand drawn line art version.

This looks awesome. I can't wait to see fighter mode. It's interesting comparing it to the Arcadia one and seeing the differences in implementation and proportions. It looks like the canards fold back instead of having to pull them out and flip them around. The gap in between the top of the chest and the nose cone is must smaller. It seems like the intake lip is reduced as well. The back of the thigh looks like a solid piece and the inner section of the leg looks like it can fold in... or open. It kind of looks like there is plug in the underside of the wing glove section that could be pulled out for something to be inserted. I wonder what. Just another weapon hardpoint? So many other differences. I had to do a lot of work to get my Arcadia YF-19 to look how it does, so this Bandai release should be great for people who don't want to go through stickering, decaling, and painting just to make it look good. I'll still get one of these anyway since it includes the super parts and it's a different implementation of the design.

Mine shipped out pretty quickly this time. Took registered airmail since I don't need it that quickly. Still working through the stuff I have already. Any other photos of this floating out on the web somewhere? I want to see if other images of it also had the same green. -

Is it just those photos or is the green wrong on that toy and not the wintergreen that it should be? Also, just got the preparation in progress notice about an hour ago. We'll see how long it actually takes N-Y to ship this time. -
I don't think the Yamato/Arcadia missiles will fit since the center peg is too big on those, so you're pretty much limited to the missiles from the two 171 super parts sets. If you want to get really ridiculous with it, you can plug the gigantic MDE bombs or reaction missiles into the forearm hardpoints

I would guess there's a pretty good chance they include the ghosts again if they release a super parts set for the RVF-171 for the people who didn't get the RVF-25 super parts. It would also be a good excuse for them to jack up the price. -

You can't. At least not without modifications. I believe it's just placed on top there.

They should tweak the design of the old mighty block stands a bit so they aren't so floppy and sell those. They had a much smaller footprint. These things pretty much needlessly take up half the space on a detolf shelf.

Dang... that's the first time I've heard of that happening regarding those pieces that fell off. That's also the worst case of paint rub I've seen for the shoulder. I've only seen and had the Yamato made ones so I don't know if there's anything different with the paint or something else on the Arcadia versions. The only thing I could possibly think of to help is after you've fixed it is to try clear coating the shoulder parts. A semi-gloss black and masking tape should do the trick if you want to fully fix the black painted area. I would just be careful pulling the arms out from fighter mode or pushing them back into position for fighter from then on.

Thanks! I agree with you guys. That particular shot came out well. Here are a few more I meant to take but was too tired to set up at the time. Yamato and Arcadia versions: VF and YF-19s: Isamu's valks: Based on the "This Is Animation Special" cover (really wish I had some standing figs of Isamu, Myung, and Guld) Edit: Re-shot the TIAS pic. The port side vertical stabilizer was crooked and it was driving me nuts. -
Okay, that "nose art" is just underwhelming. It's essentially photos of the two in the outfits they were wearing at the end of the previous movie posted on the nose...

Oh no! It's a "chocking" hazard! You might find this placed in front of your car wheels preventing you from moving forward!

Well, the gunpod is pretty hard to mess up. I say give it a try! Here's my gunpod in use after I finished weathering and clearcoating it. More pics here in another thread.

I took a bunch of pics today after finishing up the gunpod. I guess I have more pics than I'm allowed to have in a single post.
