I can only assume that maybe the Spacy used some sort of amalgamation of ranks from the other branches.
-
Yeah, like I said, the Bandai 19 Advanced is much easier to obtain than the extremely limited T-Rex set.
-
I don't see the super boosters add ons there. Only the actual YF-19 toys. edit: just to be clear, I'm talking about these:
-
To have the super boosters and other shoulder armor parts for the 19 perhaps? The ones released for the Arcadia version are far harder to come by.

Don't forget his cousin, Maj. Malfunction

It would be great if Arcadia did a reissue. PF or non-PF. I need a second 0S.

How about a Captain Morgan who's in charge of guarding Alaska Base's rum reserves. Or Captain Obvious

Doesn't seem to me like there's some sort of censor bot. The common attribute I saw among the files that errored out in your video were that they were of a rather large size (5.3, 16.4, 3.7MB). The ones that succeeded were 1.8 MB or smaller. Try resizing your files and then upload again. There is likely a file size limit. Edit: I just got some time to test it myself. I uploaded a large file and got the -200 error as well. So you just need to shrink down the image size. I believe the limit is because storage and bandwidth can become expensive and Shawn is paying for this site out of his own pocket so it's reasonable to put a limit on things. If you want to link images without the limits or compression artifacts ruining your image quality, you can do what many members do like uploading to Flickr or Imgur and then linking the image here. This saves storage space and bandwidth for the site and you get to have larger, higher quality images, so it's a win-win.

And he has a custom valkyrie that he calls the Kuro Paru, but everyone keeps stealing it from him.

Don't give Bandai any ideas!
-
I think Bandai must have based the DX VF-1 gunpod size off that since it's huge too. Also, there's something seriously wrong going on with the knees there.
-
Oh right, it did appear in Frontier and Delta. Only as a model on top of the school in Frontier though I think. It did transform in Delta.

Actually, the VF-0 still does utilize some anime magic. Like where did those side parts come from? Same as the VF-1. Technically, they did CGI the VF-1 in the Macross pachinko where they remade the intro and did some fight scenes. Also the Sega Saturn DYRL intro, but you never see them transform in that. But yeah, overall, the Zero just fits together better overall having the benefit of hindsight and CAD.

Arcadia 1/60 VF-4A ‘Flashback 2012’ Premium Finish & Regular Release
MacrossJunkie replied to no3Ljm's topic in Toys
Or the PF 0D they showed to the actual. Or the non-PF VF-0S, they showed a bunch of markings including the modex printed on the nose and wing and U.N Spacy on the legs and the toy had none of that. To be fair, stuff like the skull emblem on the heat shield and tail fins are obviously stickers, but they did tampo print those on the actual toy at least. Heck, the non-PF VF-4A might have none of the markings they showed either for all we know. Their pictures can be extremely misleading.- 1113 replies

I didn't even know Mirage got her own Draken. I had to look it up. That paint scheme isn't bad at all. I'd like to see the movie but I'm not willing to pay $90 for a blu-ray. Japanese shows and movies are stupidly expensive.

Arcadia 1/60 VF-4A ‘Flashback 2012’ Premium Finish & Regular Release
MacrossJunkie replied to no3Ljm's topic in Toys
But it looks like it's pretty much up to the edge there as well. On the toy, it's set a lot further back. Okay, they must have that marking in various positions on the same toy or they are taking pictures of different toy. This is pretty far: But this is like the animation or pretty close enough that I find it acceptable:- 1113 replies

Was it just because it was a "bad guy" VF or because the transformation was overly complicated?

Arcadia 1/60 VF-4A ‘Flashback 2012’ Premium Finish & Regular Release
MacrossJunkie replied to no3Ljm's topic in Toys
Oh yeah, they are set pretty far back from the edge of the intakes, aren't they? I wonder why. It's not a technical limitation. They were able to print them right to the edge on the VF-0's.- 1113 replies

Arcadia 1/60 VF-4A ‘Flashback 2012’ Premium Finish & Regular Release
MacrossJunkie replied to no3Ljm's topic in Toys
That can be a tough call, but in the end, only you can say which choice is worth it for you. Personally, it was an easy choice for me. I'd rather save some money and decal up the 4A myself, which would be mostly the No Step's, BoB's, and some other standard small print stuff since all the major markings appear to already be included on the regular version. I can probably do a better job doing the panel lining than some random factory worker also. I wasn't satisfied with either the panel lining or the weathering on the PF 0D and wished it just came with all the tampo printing instead.- 1113 replies

I take it the 262Hs didn't sell too well? I was really hoping for a 262Ba also. I think the Draken III is such a great looking design and the paint scheme is gorgeous.

Right. My PF 0D had no problems. My original release 0D was a floppy mess.
-
The 0S seems pretty good over all. I haven't really found complaints on it. The A and D seem to have some leg falling off issues on some. My D just had super loose legs that I had to disassemble in order to tighten, but no cracks found. The 0A on the other hand had a split in one of the shoulder hinges.

Even for past Yamato releases where they didn't but in the numbers or insignias, they at least left the space blank. Putting the black stripe straight through and then giving a white backed sticker for the modex that didn't even color match was a lazy half assed attempt. I doubt it would have been hard to have just left an empty space instead. Here's mine after removing a part of the stripe and putting the modex on. I'm not happy with the stickers so I'm going to take these off and put decals on when I get them, which sounds to me will be mid October or something Hmm, after seeing this so magnified, it seems I need to clean up the black stripe a bit more.

@Lolicon Looks great! The stickers and decals added really help and the weathering touches on it look nice.
