  1. Since this does relate to anime so I'll just toss this in here: http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/08/21/e...-style-changes/ (nsfw site of course.) There are three videos featuring a multitude of manga, presenting a before-and-after change and comparison in art styles. These videos are very motivating/inpiring in a way. By the way, try to ignore the japanese comments flying across the videos, the videos are from Niconico Douga after all. [edit]So I missed the comic thread that also convered manga... I fail. Well, what's done is done.
  2. I like Sony stuff alot but I wouldn't have bought any PS3 that wasn't backwards compatible. When I heard that Sony was phasing out all the BC-capable consoles and that the MGS4 bundle was going to be last SKU to be backwards compatible, I was kinda miffed since either I will be dropping half-a-grand on a console or I totally missed out on BC. Luckily Ebay (and *cough* shitty Walmart) were running their respective promos at the time, so I was able to get backwards compatible PS3 for less . Anyway, I still play a lot of PS2 games on my PS3. My old PS2 can no longer play CD-based games and is having trouble playing DVD games as is, now I just run an exploit on it and play whenever and whatever games I could never get anymore. Also, I never liked the idea of buying multiples of the same thing, Especially for games, movies, software, and music... It fees like a waste. If the rumor of Sony bringing back BC at some point is true, kudos to them.
  3. Well, it was at Gamescon at Germany. http://kotaku.com/5340516/jet+pack-flying-...ooper-for-reals Some great pictures linked in the comments below.
  4. Still no PS2 emulation whaargh! D: Hmm, honestly prefer the original design over the slim. At least the slim'll attract less dust. I always wondered how the interior of the PS3 and slim looks like...
  5. I'm totally digging Tears to Tiara. It's like Utawarerumono except it's a European-esque setting and no repeated animation so far . I have, the anime has some nice twists spread throughout the series. There soon will be a spin-off series airing soon.
  6. @Cent: Awesome pictures of your VF-25G. I noticed that the intakes are flush and there are hardly any big gaps. Did you use magnets? What sizes were they if you did?
  7. Totally nothing new really. Cordyceps are pretty interesting (and creepy) in that they only target certain species. In this case, ants. RE4 also made references to cordyceps and such. Here's a clip from BBC's Planet Earth documentary: I would love to say that the Planet Earth series is a must-buy in HD, however, both the US and UK versions are gimped of different features unlike the DVD versions. > Here's another semi-related lip from another documentary,
  8. Forum settings changed to have more posts per page? Still pretty tasteless... Post-its!
  9. I wonder what was going on in that designer's head when designing this...
  10. Whoops, my PSN ID is "Shiroi_Kaze" with an underscore... though I don't play Wipeout HD unfortunately. From what I read from SankakuComplex, seems like Sony will be bring back PS2 emulation on the PS3 somehow... From George Foreman Grill to... a Vacuum? I'll stick to my regular PS3 thank you very much.
  11. I just realize you have to put these things together. Pretty pricey too. http://tokyohunter.blogspot.com/search/lab...mension%20Diver
  12. If it's like any downloadable game/content on PSN, the games should be tied to your account and can be downloaded multiple (limited ) times.
  13. It does get interesting a bit later on. But I admit that the anime doesn't seem that appealing, especially for a Gainax title.
  14. Now that's the world's greatest example of "Another man's trash is another man's treasure" except it's all one guy You have me blown away good sir.
  15. Well, I know that. I just thought they just gave Bandai just one copy of the episodes and Bandai arranged the episodes in both orders to be released. I guess that's not true...
  16. How is that so over an R1 release?
  17. The demo made me feel giddy throughout the playthrough, probably the best Batman game ever to grace consoles (is there a pc version too?). I hope the full game has more aces up its sleeves. I do have a nitpick, mainly the hand-to-hand combat gameplay. The good thing is, Batman does not move like a tank (I'm so thankful for that). The bad thing (sorta) is that the combat feels too simple and automatic, I want to be more engaged and more in control of what Batman does and can do. I may have to go through another playthrough though to see everything... Hopefully the full game will give us a more robust repetoire of moves to use. I wished they did this ingame, I would love to hear some jovial music playing in the background sometimes whenever the Joker's presence takes center stage like in the animated series. Or rather give each villain their own theme throughout the game. I do wish I can map my own buttons sometimes...
  18. I'd say back to bits of season 1 before we get anything new
  19. What's wrong with Studio Deen? They've done a pretty good job on some of their well-known animes. I'm so gay for GARcher.
  20. Becaues EU always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to gaming and they're tired of it?
  21. Can't wait huh? Strangely, some of the games I played that come with a firmware update higher than my hacked PSP somehow plays fine for some odd reason. Either the dev or Sony is getting lazy.
  22. Although the disc read errors was pretty rampant, I think the PS2's failure rate was lower than the 360's, and MS did acknowledge the failure rates after they were sued as well. Both Sony and Microsoft did offer to fix the consoles for free, though I think MS probably handled it better... I thought the game is still chewing bubblegum since another dev/pub decided to pick it up?
  23. how about dabbing or pressing with a sponge or piece of flat paper?
  24. Can't you do all that on a hacked system anyway?
