Any decently sized 7200RPM hard drive will do fine, is what I think. As for DDR3 RAM, from what I hear, the higher speed RAM seems pointless at the moment... Go for DDR3-1600 I suppose? Azrael and Mikeszekely can offer better input. -

I believe Macs can now boot into either Windows and OSX with Bootcamp. Windows 7 and Snow Leopard shouldn't be any different. I don't know much about the best motherboards and soundcards unfortunately... but, for CPU, Core i7 975 Extreme is the most powerful CPU you can buy... though it cost a grand. On the other hand, the Core i7 920 is a cheaper alternative that can easily overclock to higher speeds. For Graphics, From ATI, it's either the Radeon HD4890 or the HD4870x2. From Nvidia, Geforce GTX 285. For optical drives, I've never even heard of a Blu-Ray drive being able to play HD-DVD discs (who'd want HD-DVDs nowadays?) until I saw this. Unfortunately, it's no longer available. Let's not forget RAM, hard drive, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and monitor -
That was CG? I thought they had a really awesome makeup artist...

I've never really regarded Highlander as science-fiction...

I was under the impression that whatever a PC has, a Mac can use too... A Mac now uses Intel CPUs, and they've been using ATI and Nvidia chipsets for a while, a disc drive is a disc drive, etc... Also, Snow Leopard is the newest OS released for the Mac. Not to mention, it's a very, very, elusive cat that lives in the mountains of Central Asia. -

You know, that is the next best description of Code Geass I ever heard. You made my day. -

Bakemonogatari <3 Interestingly, the atmosphere feels almost exactly like Persona 3. It's a fabulous trainwreck. If you start watching, you won't be able to take your eyes away from it. First season's worth a watch... Second--I guess it is too. -
I wonder if this dick move will do more harm to HG than good...

Sometimes it pays not to cheat. :3 In the words of my brother in the voice of the Kool-Aid Guy, "OH YEAH! MORAL HIGH ROAD!" Anyway, it's very nice to see companies have a sense of humor while supporting their games. Although it does suck for the players who did lose their items. -

Finished Lost Memories of Xam'd just earlier, I enjoyed it. First time in a while where I feel happy for the characters (most of them) and feel empty at the same time... Thanks for taking me on an adventure. -
Other than animated themes, I'm not exactly swooning over Ver. 3.0. Also, I wish Sony would let us upload our own avatars instead of using what's available... Premium avatars? Yuck.

Lots of Japanese text, with mostly English menus. You'll won't have too much of a problem. I wish Play-Asia would extend that 20% off everything promo to preorders as well...

Strangely, I feel the 360 controller works pretty well for fighters... D-pad is, of course, horrible as hell, but I found myself using the analog stick with ease. The only trouble I might still have is doing a dash or a shoryuken-type attack... -

So kinda pointless if the performance I get isn't enough... I guess I'll give it a try and see. Thanks Azrael. [edit]I found something interesting while searching, http://www.dailytech.com/Windows+7+to+Offe...rticle15150.htm http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=100814725 -

So, a single-core with hyper-threading can actually take advantage of the multi-core option? Ahah, drivers from the Dell site are like several years old, I'm stuck with those really. =\ -

A couple questions guys, I have a P4 w/ Hyper-Threading, so of course Windows sees my CPU as two cores instead of one. So my question is will I get any benefit enabling multi-core support in some programs? Like for examples, the PS3 Media Server and Source games like Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead? Also, I have a Dell laptop with the specs: 1.6 Ghz Core Duo (T2050) 2 GB DDR2-5400 (dunno what timings at the moment) 160 GB 5400 Hard Drive ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 (256MB) Win XP SP2 Now for some odd reason, whether I visit a site that uses flash or when I do something a bit more intensive like viewing 720p movies or play games, my entire computer seizes up after some time and becomes unresponsive for like 5-10 minutes before returning back to normal. Reformatted too, and it still happens. Closed TrendMicro and other non-essential processes, no dice. Closed Explorer and started up Team Fortress 2 or Warcraft III, I'll still run into the problem at some point. Whether or not I have one tab open or 30 tabs open, if I run Flash or HD stuff, I'll have enough time to make myself some tea and come back when the problem hits. I put my finger on the CPU being the culprit, but anybody have a clue to why this happens and if there are any solutions to this? -

Isn't the Joker being playable exclusive only to the PS3 version at the moment? -
@anime52K8: The more I think about it, the more I feel you guys are right, minus one tiny bit: I guess I had to ask myself what would I have done if I were in each of those same situations...

I finally saw the movie last night. My brother and I thought it was great. One thing bugged me though:

Out of curiousity, since the PS2 has a magnet holding onto the disc for reading, how common are magnets used in CD/DVD/etc drives in the same manner?
