Oh yeah, if anyone doesn't know, you don't need the Mektek X file. Once you finish downloading the torrent for the game, just rename the extension to .zip and extract it. It's playable right away.

All Things Video Games Thread: II

I thought it was intriguing at first but when I laid eyes on the gameplay, I was turned off by it. It's too ridiculous for me . It's one copy that works on both. Like the Blizzard games. I do what I must because I can: Yeah, I know Macs can "right-click", but I still find this very funny. -
Should just be like Portable Ops, I'm pretty sure you can do both.

I'm too cheap to pay a monthly subscription for antivirus/firewall updates. I'm glad Microsoft came up with Security Essentials. So often times, whatever bundled security suite I had would expire after some time. Then if I get hit, I just backup my stuff and do a factory reset and I get to restart my trial again . Sometimes, just rolling back to previous state using System Restore would do the job fine. But if not, might as well start over with a reformat. I hardly find those fixes provided by Norton, McAfee, etc to be useful at all. They're kinda like band-aids, they'll probably get rid of the offending infection but the damage has been done already. The things that I have been hit with are: Some weird crap installed in Program Files, Windows, or System folders that refused to be uninstalled or deleted Some weird file that replicates itself Constant errors Computer slowing down due to too many bogus processes Restarting every x minutes (sometimes with countdown timer) Windows Infected with trojans, viruses, and spyware? Installing (without permission) "Windows Antispyware" for you now! And oftentimes it happen when I'm not even in the scary part of the netborhood. At one point, I actually got infected by LAFToys.com. =\ Now that I think about it, alot of the times that I have been infected were from looking up a site through a search engine (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc). Oftentimes when you want get a question answered, or looking up general search terms, you'll get sites that look as if it does pertain to your search but are totally suspicious sites; on the first pages no less. I don't trust some of the sponsored links on top or on the side of the listings either, though nowadays I think they (Google, MS, Yahoo...) gotten stricter with the sponsors. -
Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
shiroikaze replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
It be funny if they're starting up talks again for a US release of the blu-ray since the US and Japan are in the same region code. Here's hoping Bandai does put English subtitling on the blu-ray for the hell of it. -
Ehh, I don't think that Rei statue needs cast off parts (I realized I seen this figure before except with bandages). I was really never a big fan of Shunya Yamashita's figures but the ones you linked look exceptionally good.

While using images from Hitman and Tomb Raider in their slideshow. They're not "RPGs" but they fit their description

Adding onto the accuracy comment, if there is a mistake, fansubbers usually make a newer version or patch the original file. Not to mention, the majority of fansubs nowadays are soft-subbed so if you have the right (free) tools and some basic know-how, you can change the subtitles yourself. If you buy a DVD and find mistakes in it--even how uncommon they are--you're stuck with it. Though with the advent of BD-Live, that might change. ...though the average anime watcher doesn't care about accuracy.

Looks like Mechwarrior 4 is already up for grabs. Unfortunately the site's inaccesible now, probably getting hammered. [edit] Looks like someone on Slickdeals posted a couple of alternate downloads that were posted on Anandtech: Might need a redownload, or patch, but that's something to start on.

Wouldn't flickr be a better alternative? Anyway, here's my stuff. Not much of a collection but I like what I got. The miscellaneous figures. There's Saber, Rukia, and Rei. The Galaxy Angel figurines came with Volume 1, probably wasn't my wisest purchase. The Kenshin set was from a friend; I never bothered opening them because of those encases, I hate those kind of boxes so much... The Figmas and Revoltechs. The VF-1S that I bought from Spiderman. (Great thanks to you!) Yeah, I know you guys are tired of me bringing up Kos-Mos, but while I'm at it, it seems like Volks is making another one of her. She's HUGE! And lastly... The Roadroller Twins of Vocaloid fame. Along with three Tako Luka trinkets and little shy Toeto hiding behind Len's leg. I have a Black Rock Shooter coming in July. I'll snap some pictures of her when she does get here. Hopefully Good Smile will release more Vocaloid Figmas and stuff.

....This is kinda neat. If only there was a way to get it hassle-free. Ugh. http://www.moetron.com/2010/04/23/hatsune-...y-theater-info/

You know, Crisis Core wasn't that fun... There's also: Katamari Damacy Macross Ace/Ultimate Frontier & Project Diva (If you're into Vocaloid and rhythm games) I haven't tried Monster Hunter, but I guess you should try that. I hear alot of people like it. -
Indeed. Also, According to ANN, there will be Blu-Rays as well! But we still don't know when .

It's kinda funny how Microsoft likes to add and remove There is a noticeable difference. But if you're not going to put all your programs on the SSD, I don't think it really makes a difference. (Though my 500GB Samsung loads plenty fast for me really ) ^this video shows some decent examples. -

At the top of my head... Forced Unleashed: Same reasons as everyone stated. Also, it wasn't the same game that the devs touted as... Gripshift: It came with the PSP we bought from Fry's while they were still doing the BS bundle sales. A racing game, unremarkable. But it had a really good level editor. Mortal Kombat (Trilogy): I have the N64 version. Robotech Battlecry: Some of the most uneven difficulty I ever played... It was still pretty fun. The Bouncer: It wasn't that good, but it was my first PS2 game and I had fond memories of it. Also, physics in that game was hilarious. The moment you get hit and ragdoll, you hurt yourself and everyone you bump into--Damage amounts carry over too. Seriously, managed to KO three other characters (all with full health) at the same time with one punch. Untold Legends Brotherhood of the Blade: Same reason as Gripshift, also an unremarkable Diablo clone. I found myself still pushing on for no special reason other than ubering your character. If you're a packrat, you'll hate this game. Godhand: I'm not quite sure why it was labeled a "bad game" but I think this game's great.

Emma Granger, I believe that's her name. She's your operator in the PS2 SDF Macross game. http://macross.anime.net/wiki/Emma_Granger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_Dim...ation_2_game%29 A nameplay on Emma Watson + Hermione Granger... -
My PS2 can't play black/blue discs and is scratching them. I'll play backups or use the HD loader on the good ol' PS2, but I enjoy my PS1/PS2 games on my PS3 now.

Pretty much. Shiroi Kaze You can catch me mostly playing Team Fortress 2 with my little brother and/or with his clanmates/friends/common server-goers, but I pop up occasionally in Left 4 Dead and Age of Chivalry. -
