  1. Thanks (?)
  2. They could, but I deprioritized that set since Hasegawa released their own armored Minmay Guard model and the option decal set with the basic Minmay Guard markings. If there's enough interest I'll make the 1/72 set as well. Don't worry, I've got you down for the 1/72 Blue Roses set.
  3. The thin black lines you see are guides for cutting the larger decals into smaller parts to account for the Yamato transformation process. And here's what the original Hasegawa model looks like:
  4. For those of you who have been following this project for almost a year, the wait is almost over. I was hell-bent on finishing at least one of the Minmay Guard sets this week. I chose the 1/60 because it was the most difficult. The 1/55 and 1/48 sets will be a walk in the park by comparison and I should have those done before the end of the month. I haven't had a chance to test drive these yet, but will do so this weekend. I'll most likely just print out a sticker set and slap 'em on a sacrificial Max 1A I have lying around. I will definitely post pictures. In the interim, here's what the set looks like so far. I took care of all the specialty stuff today (Minmay, "tire treads", lettering, etc.) and will put together the basic details and markings stuff tomorrow. I'm afraid you'll still have to paint the rear section of the gunpod and the nosecone, but everything else is taken care of. PLEASE DO NOT PM ME ABOUT THIS SET. MY INBOX IS VERY FULL AT PRESENT DUE TO THE MASSIVE AMOUNT OF DECAL/STICKER ORDERS I HAVE RECEIVED THIS WEEK. I WILL POST A THREAD IN THE FOR SALE FORUM WHEN I AM READY TO SELL THESE SETS.
  5. Nice job! Very original, Shan. Glad to see that those custom stickers I made worked out so well. B)
  6. I'm back from vacation and ready to take orders for those who are interested. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=9&t=1967
  7. Yes, I can help you. I've done many custom orders before. I was on vacation this past week (needed some time away from decals/stickers) and am now ready to take orders again. Please PM me with exactly what you need and I am sure we can work something out.
  8. Don't worry, at the request of several MW members I will be making a Low Vis version as well. It will have booster versions of the Squadrons from my optional Squadron Set, too.
  9. Yes, they can be printed as either waterslide decals or stickers. These are specifically designed for the Yamato 1/48 FAST Packs. I have separate 1/55 sets that are designed to fit the Bandai valks.
  10. I've done sheets like the ones you are looking for on an individual basis. A few customizers have asked for them and I'm happy to help out.
  11. You know, that's the one thing I forgot to do. Thanks! I'll get that fixed here in minute.
  12. Thought y'all would like to see my latest creation. I just finished it up this morning. As with all of my other sets, this one is based on the Hasegawa 1/72 kits. I've included many details that Yamato overlooked. Note the white triangles for the RMS-1 "Angel of Death" nukes, for example. I will not be making this available for purchase until after October 5th. I am taking a mini-vacation from decals, life, etc. until then. DO NOT SEND ME A PM OR EMAIL ABOUT THIS SET. IT WILL BE IGNORED. I will post a thread in the For Sale forum when I am ready to accept orders. Your continued patience on this is very much appreciated.
  13. WOW!!! Hopefully mine will look somewhat as good once I finish applying the decals. I haven't finished the FAST Pack sets yet, but seeing my work in action on your valk is quite inspirational. For those of you still waiting for your decal and sticker sets to show up, the last batch is shipping out tomorrow and Saturday. I had a ton of orders (each sheet takes about an hour, and over 90 sheets were purchased), my paper supplier screwed up my order a few times, and I came down with what I think was West Nile Virus. All of that caused a few delays but I spent all of today finishing up orders, packaging them, etc. They should be arriving in your mailboxes very soon. That is one beautiful valk, William.

    1/48 decals

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ct=ST&f=9&t=214 I won't be taking orders for about another month--I'm still filling the last batch of orders.....
  15. The best stuff I have found (and I have tried them all) is made by a company called Hemmi Papilio Supplies (HPS). Here's their website: http://www.papilio.com/ The ALPS decal paper is listed under "laser decal paper" and carries the name "Papilio Aqua Slide (PAS)". It's A LOT more expensive than other brands, but they have awesome QC and customer service. I've never had a problem printing on their paper. Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM BELDECAL.COM. They are the worst company to deal with and their paper sucks. One thing about HPS is that you shouldn't be in a hurry when you order. Sometimes it can take up to 2-3 weeks for your shipment to arrive. They also make awesome (and again, expensive) vinyl sticker paper, which is what I use for my custom sticker sets. Due to a shipping screw-up with HPS, I have a ton of inkjet decal paper instead of the PAS I ordered (~30 sheets). Their inkjet paper is incredible, but I don't need it. Anyone want to buy it off me cheap? I am still planning on making a "how to" thread with step by step instructions for those of you who want to make your own decals. I was thinking of doing it wm cheng style as I put together the 1/60 Ostrich and Elint sets....
  16. Yes, ALPS printers are the way to go, but they are indeed no longer made. However, you can still find them on eBay and they're not terribly expensive. Where the real cost comes in is the ink cartridges, which don't last very long but cost $9 each. After printing your designs, you will want to give them a protective clear coating. I've been making custom decals and stickers for MW members for about two years now. I think I've tried everything at least once and it's taken me a long time (and a lot of $$$) to develop the methods and processes I use now. I've been debating whether or not I should do a "how-to" thread so no one else here has to reinvent the wheel. Any thoughts?
