  1. Yes, that works well, but requires some planning and patience. Here's one process: http://www.finescale.com/online-extras/how-to/2017/11/in-the-past-it-was-future
  2. Not sure if you were the one asking for pictures yesterday in two of the main Macross groups on Facebook, but someone came back with this:
  3. I managed to get a 1/60 SF-3A Lancer II. Completed my order in the first minute of the sale. Sold out a few minutes later.
  4. Much appreciated. I missed that piece of information. It looks like Arcadia posted it on the opening day of the sale, right when everyone (including me) was focused on repeatedly hitting the F5 key in the hopes of snagging an item....
  5. Seriously thinking about it. Right now, though, I’m wondering if anyone who scored an order during the Arcadia sale last Friday has received a shipping notification. It’s been radio silence for me....
  6. It's this kind of price difference between the regular and premium finish that has me considering making more supplemental decal sets for collectors who want to turn their regular finish valks into premium ones on their own. I certainly can't justify dropping $500 plus shipping on this. That's equal to two DX valks....
  7. I've already received a few PMs about the set and will respond to those, along with putting together a list based on who has expressed interest via posts in this thread. Price per set will likely be $10 plus shipping, given that they are twice the size of the DX sets, but I need to run the numbers. Stay tuned.
  8. I managed to snag the SF-3A Lancer II during the first minute of the sale. It was sold out a few minutes after that. A lot of items went FAST.
  9. Test print successful. Those slimelight-like markings in the lower right aren't as dark as they appear in the image. Not the best lighting right now.
  10. Interesting idea. I just saw the ¥51,750 price tag for it on HLJ. That's nuts. These days I mainly create sets to correct injustices for collectors, like the missing and incorrect markings on the Bandai DX line, so I might have to expand that include making up the difference between regular and premium finishes for the Arcadia line.
  11. This looks to be a decent print layout for the set. I can get several of them on a single sheet of decal paper.
  12. Thank you for checking! Yes, my Tenso address is in Tokyo and Arcadia only ships to Japanese addresses, so this might actually work out.
  13. Added the SDF-018 and SDF-01B markings to the sheet. I measured the open area under the black portion of the upper stabilizer and it's roughly 25mm x 5mm, and based on the line art, the text should be about half the height of the open area, so the markings are roughly 12mm x 2.5mm. I went with the font used for the existing MEGAROAD-01 markings, for consistency.
  14. I'm somewhat nervously waiting to see what Arcadia does with my order for the Lancer. It's my first time ordering directly from them. Did they charge you any additional fees, like for shipping? My order confirmation looks like this (auto-translated): I'm shipping to my Tenso address, which should work, but they only charged me for the Lancer. They do have a FAQ section on their site, but it doesn't talk about shipping fees, just the method: I guess we'll see what happens next week.
  15. I managed to snag an SF-3A Lancer II during the opening minute of the event. Theoretically. The transaction went through and I have an email notification saying the same thing, but I won't believe it until it ships to my Tenso address. Their ordering system was a bit weird. Even though I had a credit card on file, I had to re-enter all of the information. And there was a dropdown menu asking for the specific date when I wanted the item delivered, which I ignored in the interest of time, and ignoring it didn't stop my order from going through. I'd never seen a menu like that before and I didn't want to stop and look at a calendar. Maybe that decision will cause them to cancel my order. I hope not.
  16. The site went live at exactly 1900 JST: https://arcadia.ac/user_data/special2021 They indeed sold out of some stuff FAST. By the time I finished the purchase of an SF-3A Lancer II, the regular versions of the VF-0A and VF-0S were gone. In the time that it took me to write this post, the Lancer sold out, too. Going back to bed now....
  17. To my knowledge, no news since they were revealed at the Tamashii Nations event this past November

Once you start on the HMR line, you end up with the entire HMR line....
  19. Initial drafting complete. Was able to perfectly match all of the fonts except for the ones used on the ejection seat triangles and rescue arrows. Visibly similar substitutes had to be used for those. This was a much-needed diversion for a few hours. The designs are simple compared to some of the more complex commissioned projects I'm chipping away at, as I have time. Next steps are to change the layout a bit, to conserve paper and ink during printing, and do a test print to see how everything looks. The slightly darker yellow used in many places is always a headache, and it won't be a perfect match, but I will do what I can. I'm also not sure how those slime light markings are going to turn out. I also have to add in the SDF-01B and SDF-018 markings, which will require making some measurements on the upper stabilizers.
  20. Okay, I put both of those back in. Not sure about 32. I had the same question.
  21. Yes, they are waterslide. No, you don't need to apply a gloss coat first, but I would highly recommend using a setting solution, doing so carefully so you don't damage the plastic. Mark Setter and Mark Softer are harsher than Micro Set and Micro Sol, so it's good to dilute them a bit first. Otherwise you'll dissolve the decals. You can use them at full strength on most commercial decals, but I use a thinner film so the designs look painted on and conform better to curved surfaces. If you have any spare plastic model kit parts lying around that have a similar finish to these toys, I'd practice on those with some designs you don't plan to use, or even just an unprinted portion of the decal film.
  22. Using @Lolicon's list, the close-up shots of the PF that were posted by @tekering, and some eyeballing of my own, these look to be the parts of the sticker sheet that I have to worry about (on the right): That's not too bad. I'll fix the KEEP CREAN text and add SDF-01B and SDF-018 for the upper stabilizers
  23. From what I can see, all of the extra pre-applied markings on the PF are on the sticker sheet that comes with the regular version. Since there really isn't a sticker placement guide for that version, I think the PF will have to serve a reference for where those extra markings go.
  24. Sounds like DHL is adjusting their shipping rates for stuff leaving Japan. Just got this notice from Tenso: "Comparing with current shipping fee rate, new DHL shipping fee released on March 10, 2021 1:00 p.m. JST is around 5% higher."
