  1. I dont like the new look of the packs. It really gives me an 80's vibe.
  2. I got a GN Dou YF-19, VF-11 and Revoltech YF-21 waiting for me at the post office.
  3. What kind of logic is that?
  4. Oh man, that must have been the plot twist right?
  5. No wonder Sentinels was retconned. The entire thing is a stable time loop.
  6. Sort of like how X-Files turned out, right? X-Files was notorious for shoddy story arcs because it was made up as the went along. I would say the same affliction is exhibited by Robotech continuity.
  7. Just consolidate it all , like I did. It doesnt have to make sense.
  8. Im wondering, what market were they targeting when they made those Minmei and Lisa dolls? Girls who probably never heard of Robotech or boys who arent ashamed of girly dolls?
  9. Ah man, those things make the Dragon Ball Evolution toys look like engineering marvels.
  10. As a matter of fact, Heavy Gear is heavily influenced by VOTOMS. The mecha and character designs share a lot of the same characteristics.
  11. Its like Rob Liefeld drew it, except worse and with less pouches.
  12. Range of motion would be something like 90 to 120 degrees, you know, a range of motion. Like a revoltech joint has a range of axial motion of about 100 degrees. Addendum: If I haven't stated this before, Im an engineer. So the only way I knew how to explain the flexibility of the of the revoltech figures is with degrees of freedom.
  13. "Degrees of Freedom". Rotation is one degree of freedom, and so is revolution AKA revolver joints. Each revolver joint has 2 degrees of freedom, one in the Z axis and one in the X axis.
  14. The actual game is merchandise. But the designs are not, am I right? So whats to stop some one from making an "inspired" design of a Tomahawk? If you guys played MW4 , you'll notice that one of the standard mechs is actually a design inspired by a Destroid Phalanx, called the Longbow. And yet, HQ did nothing at all about it. The reason why they didnt do anything is because the Longbow isnt the same design as the Phalanx. Frankly, Id rather that Battletech not use any Macross designs. Macross designs are more streamlined, and Battletech is more utilitarian.
  15. First picture of the revoltech Valkyrie in its fighter mode. This is very tantalizing, considering the high amount of DOF on revoltech figures. Maybe Toynami will make a Stealth Valkyrie 2.0 out of this guy? Its hard to tell if this is a parts-former, but I dont think any of us would mind that. Source
  16. Why not add an entry to that for Robotech?
  17. Id like a Macross series that details the Colonial Star Troopers, or whatever they would be called. Something akin to Starship Troopers (novel) with giant transforming mecha instead. Sort of a counterpart to Macross Plus.
  18. Heres the link to where I got the info Bubblegum Crisis reality show
  19. What the hell!?
  20. Looks like a contest is being held to become a production crew member for the Bubblegum Crisis movie. BTW the movie is being filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney Australia.
  21. If the live action Akira gets made, there will be no doubt that there will be a Robotech movie.
  22. RLAM : Really Lame Action Movie.
  23. Sentinel VS Liberty Prime is a legitimate concern.
  24. Also consider that licensing Macross shows would effectively require a license for both the animation and the music. Basically one for the price of two.
  25. They cant be patented due to prior art, in the form of the 1/55 toys and the design artwork that Studio Nue/BW owns. Patents are marginally more difficult to get than trademarks because they are open to counter-claims using prior art.
